“Under different circumstances I probably wouldn’t rate this a 5\. But we were able get a room here on February 22 during the cartel activity that delayed our flight home. The staff were very kind the room was clean and the breakfast was included. We felt safe because we were put in an inside wall room. The only negative was the sewer gas smell in the bathroom. The place is unique being made from shipping containers. Nomal circumstances this place is a strong 4”

“Our 6 night stay at Ximena Hotel Boutique was wonderful! The room was very spacious and spotlessly clean. It had a room safe, refrigerator, TV and a very nice balcony. The air conditioning was very much appreciated! The hotel staff was extremely courteous, helpful and friendly. The location of the hotel is wonderful. Just a 5 minute walk to the beach, restaurants and bars and the bus station. We really can't say enough wonderful things about this hotel and we would love to stay there……

“Our room was facing the street, no balcony. It is a very quiet area. The pool has a warm temperature. The staff were wonderful people. There is a supermarket but you need to take a taxi 70 pesos or a bus 12 pesos. Downton is a 15 minutes walk, lots of restaurants. Lots of stores like 7/11 called Oxxo close to the hotel. There's a small mall across the street with some restaurants. If you want to go to Puerto Vallarta you can take the bus is about 30 minutes drive 24 pesos or you can go to……

![Puerto Vallarta has many different beaches, and while my favorites for swimming happen to be on the southside of the bay in Punta Negra & Mismaloya, the beach in the Marina is perfect. There is public access along side the bayview grand complex and a nice long walk down to the Westin. At high tide there are some areas where you may get your feet wet though!
