My Barcelo experience

Love this resort! Buffet food horrible but Steakhouse was good! Hospitality was great but language barrier a problem at times. But overall I would definitely go again.

Good trip with only minor issues

Overall it was a good experience. Plenty of restaurants, pools, beach area, and excellent rooms with a ocean view. The areas that the resort could improve on were late night options for food. Also warmer pools and quicker service from bartenders and waitresses. Again these were very minor in the overall stay. I would recommend making dinner reservations early in your stay. We felt very safe within the resort. There is a separate kids pool so that was nice not to have kids around the swim up bars and pool areas.

Great resort.

Staff extreamly friendly. Always with a smile and ready to help. Food was plenty and was good but not great. activities for all ages. Wifi intermittent. We will recommend the resort to friends and have no problem going back.

Very pleased with free upgrade with full. ocean view. Staff excellent , with no issues.Good variety of foods, desserts looked great , but not the best taste. We will definitely be back again next year.

The hotel was excellent and staff but they have to improve on the temperature of the food not hot enough cold and the improvement on serving better food for such an big resort the food have to be improved like he staying there 😃😘❤❤️

The internet connection is terrible. It is impossible to stay in touch. Staff seemed clueless. Great property with untrained team. Food is really bad

Nice location

Pros: Location
Cons: Service and food variety including more ethnic and vegetarian options.
Location: Excellent
Doors to the closet were broken Windows curtain were not sliding Food variety was the same each day. not much vegetarian food options. Service staff was tardy and need some energy in their service. Reservation at on resort restaurants were not easily available.

Good hotel close to beach

We were a group of 4 families or 16 people. The hotel staff was able to easily fnd us rooms close to each other and they even upgraded us from a Junior Suite to a double bed rooms. The rooms were excellent. Hotel was excellent; family friendly but had activities for adults, teenagers and kids as our group had all of these. I would recommend this hotel and go back there for another stay.

Loved Barcello Palace

Pros: Something for everyone. Food options. Pools. Beach was beautiful.
Cons: The Rooms. More privacy in the toilet and the TV's didn't work in the two rooms we had.
Location: Plenty to do on excursions.. Snorkeling... swim with dolphins. Booze cruise. It's a great place and if you get a great resort it's golden.
The French Restaurant is exceptional. Really amazing food and staff. The casino is small and not a big time casino at all. The rooms were ok but not to American standards. The food in general was average except at the A La Carte restaurants where it was outstanding. The staff was excellent and there was plenty of staff. They have a large auditorium where they put on elaborate shows. Christmas Eve was really impressive. This was an excellent hotel overall and I would return if we go back to Punta Cana.
