Good hotel but not 5*

We stayed for 10 nights and had an amazing time at this hotel and loved the choice of restaurants (although the booking system is bad and woman who books it is a little rude). We had paid for a deluxe room and when we arrived it definitely wasn't a deluxe room and didnt have some of the amenities it should have, we complained to reception and she just kept saying 'no' or that she didn't understand and the managers also refused to do anything about it. Later on we found out if we had tipped them 20 dollars we would have been put in a suite!! And BE CAREFUL the photos and things advertised for the hotel are actually VIP and are restricted to normal guests unless you pay for it- this is ran by a different company (the beds on the beach, drinks in glass glasses instead of plastic, certain bars and pools). Some of the staff can also be a little creepy and follow you round/ walk into your room you need to be firm and say no. Also all inclusive stops in the nightclub at 12:30 (also annoying) so stock up on drinks! But as I say these were all just niggles and we did have an amazing time overall and did some amazing trips and in general the hotel was good and had great entertainment just wasn't the 5 star we expected for the money we paid.

Checkin Drama

Pros: Friendly staff and meals
Cons: None
Location: The small market across the street is nice but the salesman were very aggressive for business.
My flight was late and upon arrival no rooms available for my reservation except in a building without elevators. I had to climb up and down two flight of stairs with my luggage for the first night. I was upgrade to VIP room and perks on the second day which helped with the first days drama. Otherwise a great place to stay, relax, and enjoy Punta Cana.

Awful room, the staff wasn't helpful at all

Beach was si dirty so as the pool, the maid only clean our room one time the whole entire week, room was awful and smell so bad, I would never go back to that hotel ir recommend it to any one!! Very disappointed!!!

Overbooked

We flew so many hours with 2 kids, when we got there they said they dont have rooms for us.they sent us to another hotel. The check in is Horrible!! Nobody knows what they are doing. Talk to 3 different people, every single one said different things. At the end they came up with an answer. The hotel was overbooked!

I would never stay there again.

Cons: Everything
The beach was the best part of the whole stay. It was way to loud all night long. If you want to party all night long this is the place for you. To many young kids drinking & screaming in the pool . All day long. The rooms was comfortable enough but we had no air conditioning for 3 days & no one ever came to fix it even though we called many many times. Most of the staff was pleasant enough but most were rude I had to ask 4 different people for a glass of water in the buffet.

Overall we had. Wonderful vacation and would probably come back to this resort. The staff are amazing... they go out of their way to male sure you have a great time. Rooms in the 14 block were great. We had two rooms one with two double beds and one with alone and bed. They were spacious and clean with balconies that faced the pool. The resort had plenty of pools and activities. Most pools were celan the main pool was a little dirty but it always had large groups of people so thats understandable. The other pools were always clean and enjoyable.The food was good and the restraunts were great. Buffet was great a little repetitive but still very good. The only issue we had was at check in our rokm was nit ready so we were sent to block 18 for one day then changed our room the next day and have us am an upgrade to compensate us for the inconvenience so it all balanced out. Overall it was a great stay for us .My husband and I traveled with our 3 year old two teenage boys and mother in law (total party 6) within the age range all had a great time during our 7 day stay . The Michael Jackson show is amazing! The entertainment and people that work here are excellent.

Headaches

Manager made us stay at a different resort for the first two days of our stay because the hotel "overbooked" so we had to be separated from our group of 12 for the first two days of our vacation.
