Horrible hotel and service

The food was not good. The service at the restaurants always took too long. Our bed in our room had sand in the sheets since day one. There was always someone trying to sell us activities and DRUGS at the beach in front of the hotel. Bad all around.

I loved everything about this resort, especially the price, except for the buffet food. It was not very appealing. There are free restaurants on site that require you to make reservations that are great, but the buffet wasn't so good.

2.5 star hotel

Horrible check in. Stood in line for an hour. When we got to the front desk he says your with Expedia you need to go to another area. Best part was Francisco the Expedia rep. Food was okay. Service and staff better than average. Several resteraunts cost additional money. Do not use credit cards here.

The fact that everyone at the hotel was sweet!

Everyone was so sweet to me, I came to Punta Cana alone and I made so many friends. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, I just wished the food at the Buffet Was better, please make the food better. I will coming again soon. Thank you, Santos Brito And to all the waiters... :)

Beautiful hotel close to the Punta Cana Airport

Pros: Close to the airport, beautiful hotel with entertaining staff, various activities done both at the beach, pool and theater.
Cons: The cleanliness of the rooms, the service given to the guests both to their rooms and at the buffet.
Location: The hotel is very close to the hotel and downtown Punta Cana which has an amazing show/disco called Coco Bongo. Highly recommended to visit!!!
I stayed at the Be Live hotel for a week this month. I found it to be a beautiful hotel with friendly staff and close to the airport. With so many guests I observed coming and going I do believe the hotel should make upgrades to their services for their future guests. Upon arrival I had to wait over an hour for the hotel to verify the package I bought off of Expedia. I have bought all my vacation packages on Expedia, this was the first experience I had arriving I had to wait until I could be taken to my room to rest. The room was gorgeous, I stayed in one of the rooms in building 17 which is one of the last modern/renovated buildings to the hotel. The cleanliness I feel can improve, housekeeping did not leave me towels on 2 occasions and I felt the sheets were not changed, many times I had to shake the sheets from sand they had. I also had to call express service/front desk numerous times before they would come to repair the TV in the room which had a faulty cable or to bring towels. The hotel does not have free wifi, this is the first resort I stay in which I had to purchase wifi to be able to contact my kids back at home. The only free wifi is by the main pool and it is given daily for only an hour, which most of the time doesn't work due to lots of guests being connected it is very slow. At the buffet I had to wait sometimes until close to finishing my meal before I was offered a beverage besides water. This is a beautiful hotel with friendly staff but it can improve.

Run away away from here

Pros: I loved how our room looked. The bartenders and the servers were the nicest staff. I should of booked at a different resort. It's my biggest regret.
Cons: The food was horrible, the burgers are made from mystery meat, you are constantly harrased by people to buy things within the resort and to leave with them to an unknown location outside of the resort, you can't relax at the beach because you will be hounded by 25 people to purchase something, our hotel room was too far from everything and we didn't get the room we paid for, and it is heaven for peeping toms and rapists. I had a horrible incident with a guy trying to see me in the restroom. I found him inside peeping at women and kicked him out and he returned to prey on me and other women. I reported it to staff after i cursed him out Brooklyn style and nothing was done. If you have small children this is not a safe environment for them.
Location: Nothing was nearby, we have to walk 20 mins. Away from our room just to eat or do anything.

Ok experience

The hotel itself was nice. Staff, not so pleasant. Some were very nice but overall not the greatest. Dinner restaurants were good but buffets were terrible. VIP upgrade was so-so. We were supposed to be able to go to most of the restaurants without reservations but were turned away from 2 of them. Also, we were escorted out of a VIP bar that had absolutely no one at it. This was my 3rd resort in the DR and I would not recommend it.

Would not recommend..see reasons

Pros: The ambience was nice. Many pools and bars. Food/ drinks were good. Activities were accessible if you just asked.
Cons: The hecklers were VERY ANNOYING and were too persistent. They room keys didn't work. There was a blackout the very first night. Pool Maintenance.
Location: Beach is on property. Excursions are about 20-45 mins away that must be booked with an agent.
Pros: This hotel has ALOT of potential. Great view of the view of the beach and the scenery within the hotel was nice. Small village like with lots of pools and lots of bars. Bar staff was accommodating, attentive to what you requested. Bartender Jesus was friendly and always was aware of what was needed.The Windows Buffet the all inclusive a la carte restaurant was clean and the wait staff there were pleasant. We loved Jordan, great personality and very humble. Daily activities were amazing, and the staff kept the guests entertained and engaged. Cons: The pool was kept poorly, it had chipped paint sticking into your feet. There was bugs everywhere in the water, not ideal for traveling with a toddler. The main pool at the center of the hotel is currently under construction 24 hours of the day so expect drilling noise and seeing workers in and around the area. The beach area was all inclusive if you used the blue beach chairs. The cabanas and beach beds were an additional 10 USD. The room was a family suite but the bath area did not have enough privacy. See thru glass door with no lock and the shower was a walk in with cement tiles.Very hard to shower with a toddler and with other people in the room. Toilet broke, cant flush paper down toilet. **Expect to be hassled by the staff in the lobby area who try to get you to go speak with someone about timeshares or excursions. Everything is negotiable so bargain for lower prices. Pay attention to whats included.

Don't waste your money Here!!!

Location: Not close to anything. Taxi ride 8 miles cost us $50 round trip. Rip off!!! The water wasn't beautiful as ad online. Full of sea weed. Misleading!!!!
Below standard hotel. Upkept, modernization, outdated hotel. Need to be torn down and rebuilt. Was given a room of less than deluxe, although I paid for Deluxe, The rook had cracked in it and the sun woke us up daily because we could see the outside as we lay in bed. Nobody seemed to be able to make anything right. They couldn't unless they gave us our money back and put us up in a better hotel. That's the only thing that would have saved our trip!
