THEY MUST GET RID OF HOSPITEN. IT'S A RACKET.

Pros: The staff tries to help.
Cons: Get rid of Hospital and provide guarantee free medical services to the clients that make you wealthy. Better room conditions!
My son got sick. We went to the Hospiten primary care unit, the only choice in the hotel (monopoly) and the Hospiten representative Benitez charged us $154 only to see the child. Without doing much of anything she rapidly referred to their clinic so that they could do "tests" after "test" to check on all possible tropical diseases. She did not attempt anything but to send us to their Hospital. In fact she wanted us to go right away and suspiciously offered to call for a taxi -so we could not escape. Shameless! We asked for a few minutes went to our room and call a relative who happens to be a doctor and indicated what to do. WE AVOIDED THE SCAM AND SAVED AT LEAST $1200 US. Then, I asked myself, how about those who come to Punta Cana for South America or even Russia? Do they have to fall victims of this criminal racket? If the Dominican authorities want to keep the tourism golden eggs they need to get rid of Hospiten and see tourists as human beings who deserve a better treatment. I had travel insurance but anyone could see through a criminal act in which a criminal legalized organization called Hospiten simply tries to suck tourist dollars out of desperate parents and patients who get sick due to a vast range of complicated situation in a foreign land. TOURISTS ALREADY PAID TAXES WHEN THEY COME TO DOMINICAN REPUBLIC. THE LEAST THE COUNTRY SHOULD DO IS TO GARANTEE THEM A HEALTHY AND SAFE RETURN HOME. Hospiten also likes to keep your private information -which is illegal.

The worst vacation thanks to the Hotel service

The hotel told my family they did not have a reservation under their names that I booked and paid for. Also they made my family paid for another reservation. Now they are giving a hard time to reimburse me my money which is over $1800 that was paid over 2.5 months ago. The supervisor were argumental band not helpuful. I had to start recording out conversations because they tried to treat me like I was crazy I didn't know what I was saying. Like I title this vacation has been my worst experience dealing with them for 3 days 3 to 4 hrs in their guest service office. Time that I need to spend time with my family who were celebrating my moms birthday with Cancer. The money you pay it's not worth the aggravation they give you. Pay more and stay at a nicer and more expensive hotel. You will see it's worth the money.

Too much extra charges. 200$ to add a guest to an already booked room.

Good hotel but not 5*

We stayed for 10 nights and had an amazing time at this hotel and loved the choice of restaurants (although the booking system is bad and woman who books it is a little rude). We had paid for a deluxe room and when we arrived it definitely wasn't a deluxe room and didnt have some of the amenities it should have, we complained to reception and she just kept saying 'no' or that she didn't understand and the managers also refused to do anything about it. Later on we found out if we had tipped them 20 dollars we would have been put in a suite!! And BE CAREFUL the photos and things advertised for the hotel are actually VIP and are restricted to normal guests unless you pay for it- this is ran by a different company (the beds on the beach, drinks in glass glasses instead of plastic, certain bars and pools). Some of the staff can also be a little creepy and follow you round/ walk into your room you need to be firm and say no. Also all inclusive stops in the nightclub at 12:30 (also annoying) so stock up on drinks! But as I say these were all just niggles and we did have an amazing time overall and did some amazing trips and in general the hotel was good and had great entertainment just wasn't the 5 star we expected for the money we paid.

Checkin Drama

Pros: Friendly staff and meals
Cons: None
Location: The small market across the street is nice but the salesman were very aggressive for business.
My flight was late and upon arrival no rooms available for my reservation except in a building without elevators. I had to climb up and down two flight of stairs with my luggage for the first night. I was upgrade to VIP room and perks on the second day which helped with the first days drama. Otherwise a great place to stay, relax, and enjoy Punta Cana.

Awful room, the staff wasn't helpful at all

Beach was si dirty so as the pool, the maid only clean our room one time the whole entire week, room was awful and smell so bad, I would never go back to that hotel ir recommend it to any one!! Very disappointed!!!
