Fabulous destination for families & friends!

The resort was wonderful. We were traveling with our teenage son & our initial room lacked any privacy. Our room was changed & we couldn't ask for a better room.

Nice hotel and good amenities. Very happy staff. Very good quality on the food but I didn't like it.

Big resort bc it is 3 that are connected.

Booked thru expedia, was supposed to have ajoining rooms but 1 room was on 1st floor and other room on 2nd floor. Also, was supposed to be 2 double beds in each room but one of my rooms had only one king bed in it. Resort is big and very nice. It is one of three connected to each other so that you can use all facility's at the other two! The staff is excellent! Front desk, housekeeping, cooks, waiters, I loved them! Huge amount of food choices! Beach beautiful, only thing is you get tired of being harassed to buy things or excursions while you are trying to relax on the Beach! Everyday this happened to us.

Great hotel with wonderful staff.

Hotel was great and the staff wonderful. The beach was awesome. Spent a lot of time enjoying the beach and ocean. The pool area was great too. Plenty of food and drinks available. The Steakhouse was best meal we had...delicious rib eye! Room was clean and comfy. Could have more snacks in room - only had a bag of nuts. Would go again for sure!

Comfortable and convenience is key!

Upon arrival I was offered a free upgrade by staff. Ended up in beautiful suite , staff checked in with me On the hour daily to ensure my stay was great. Location leaves you a daily 5 min walk to beach and shuttles run round the clock. Bell boys were super attentive and made sure I was never waiting long for assistance. Francisco supervisor and all front desk receptionists were great ! Will definitely be back.

Average but has everything you could look for

We got off to a little bit of a rocky start but once all of our room issues were resolved it was a very enjoyable resort

nice hotel with a great beach

Pros: They have many activities to do - pool, beach, lobby, music, etc. They had many food options.
Cons: Clean the pools more often and keep the paths to the beach area clean.
Location: We took two day trips. Santo Domingo and Altos de Chavon and Saona Island. Both were great but long days.
Great stay - just not enough time to do and see everything. We arrived very early on Sunday morning and had to hang up in the lobby for awhile. We were able to eat and then finally they gave us the wristbands so we could go about the resort until our room was available. We were able to check in a little earlier which was nice. We had the Family Connecting Suite and it was great. The resort grounds are very nice. The pools are not heated so they were a little colder then what we expected. After you got in and moved around it was fine. I would like to see them cleaned better and more often. They always had a bunch of stuff floating around in them. I would say that language is a bigger barrier than other places we have been. Thank goodness for Google translate as that seemed to work the best when they didn't understand. The beach was great. The sand was soft and white and easy to find chairs. They could keep the pathway to the beach clearer and clean and keep the showers cleaned out with sand. The beach vendors are constant and relentless. If you want something though you can bargain and get items at a good price. The food was pretty good. We usually had breakfast at the La Catedral buffett and lunch at the Arrecife Beach Buffet. For dinner we ate at the a la carte restaurants. We were able to get reservations to all but the Steakhouse. You do need to do this right away. Some of them you can only do a day in advance (before noon) & others several days out.

Nice place to stay, but not perfect.

Pros: My favorite part about this resort was the beach and buffets. Great Food and soft beach.
Cons: The bathrooms in the hotel could be improved greatly.
Location: They have an excursion table set up with a ton of things to do off the resort. We went on the Buggy ride which was a lot of fun.
Family of 6. The majority of the staff were fantastic. Helped you as much as they could. However, the concierge was in charge of selling you a huge package and will try to take up 3 hours of your time. The hotel room was very nice except the shower leaked out onto the main bathroom floor and made a swamp and the plunger on the sink didn't work. The room was clean and comfortable. The pillows are not good and the spare bed isn't completely flat but not bad. The food was excellent at all the buffets and restaurant. Staff in there was fantastic. The beach is beautiful and there are lots of things to do. You have access to almost the entire resort. Beach Towels were harder to get than I thought they would be. I would recommend going to this resort. The price we paid wasn't that bad and both the kids and adults had a good time.

Nice vacation spot for the family

Pros: Clean, large rooms, good restaurants.
Cons: The buffet food
Location: Many excursions to pick from
Let me preface this review by saying I'm a little picky in the sense that little things like a scuff on the wall bother me. However, this was a nice place. It's very clean, and they maintain everything very nice. Every day they had maintenance people cleaning up the grounds. Trimming the trees, raking the grass, painting walls. They take pride in their facility. We stayed the Jr. Suite and it was very nice, a short walk to the beach and swimming pool. Overall it was a good time. There were some things I did not like about it. So rather than write a long paragraph I'll break it down into the good and the bad: The Good: • Clean, spacious rooms - The Jr. Suite • Jacuzzi in room • Beautiful beach • Awesome pools with swim-up bar • Presidente beer, all you can drink and ice cold all the time • All drinks are awesome and strong • Ate in 2 restaurants, The Brazilian restaurant - Excellent. The Italian restaurant - not very good at all. • Shows were good. The magic show rocked • The sports bar is good • The ice cream is good • Front desk staff are very friendly • People that pick you up and bring luggage are friendly • Some waiters are good some are not so good • Did the boogie carts (yes they are called boogies) excursion with the cave swim, it was amazing The Bad: • Breakfast and Lunch are always buffet • The buffet to me was horrible, and I like buffets • Buffets are cruise ship quality
