nice place good food lots to do

Cons: transportation to airport
Location: good location lots to do
was told 24 hour transportation from airport but was none and even charged 40 dollars to take to airport when leaving that's the not right

Great beach, very nice property

I have stayed at the Grand Palladium Palace with my husband and a 4 year old son from January 6 through January 12. The hotel has a wonderful, very long beach. My son loved the sand it was very fine, almost powderlike. There is also tons of activities, from mini golf, soccer field, tennis courts throughout archery. Great for cloudy day. Our room was very spacious and it was cleaned daily. Our housekeeper Martina did a fabulous job especially cleaning all the sand that my four-year-old would bring back to the room! Thank you Martina building number 95! The buffet food was OK. Very good selection, however the menu was the same every day of the week. Which can get boring after three days top. That’s when we decided to try out the a la cart restaurants. We were pleasantly surprised with the dishes and the presentation. Our favorite was by far the steakhouse. Perhaps what made us go back there three nights in a row was the outstanding service we have received from our waiter Gilbert. Gilbert was very attentive, polite, and went above and beyond to make our dining experience the highlight of the day. Fellow vacationers, I realize this is an all-inclusive resort. However, if you feel that you have received quality service, please don’t hesitate to tip. This is a hospitality industry after all. I guarantee workers will appreciate even the smallest gesture. Overall, this was a very nice stay and I would recommend it.

Great beach. Ok room. Poor everything else

Fantastic beach and good pools. Our room was nice with the exception of the door, which had a long three inch crack at the top. Everything else was quite poor...notably, the customer service. We did not interact with one employee who seemed like they genuinely wanted to help us. Directions on where to eat/go, activity recommendations, glass of water at dinner, the three times we requested housekeeping because all they did was drop two bottles of water in the room...we were always made to feel like the inconvenience. Further, there seemed to be accountability for any employee. Guest services hung up on me about five times during the course of our 2 day stay. We requested a taxi for our ride to the airport. “They will be here with a sign with your name on it at 6am.” ...6:15 and two requests from the front desk later the most unsafe taxi I have ever ridden in arrives (side note: our taxi driver pulled over halfway through our fared drive to get gas- I thank the hotel for that as well). If you try to speak Spanish or English it will not make a difference - you will get the same you are an inconvenience attitude. Of course, when you speak English much more accentuated and they are more likely to hang up on you or pretend in front of you they don’t speak English. The final comments I will make is about the good situation. The buffets are ok, but the hours are ridiculous. There is literally no food option at the resort between 5-7pm. So if you have a kid, good luck.

Great first time!

Food was about the same throughout resort. Housekeeping can be better but lock up all valuables. Beware of the Mamajuana.

Nice place close to beech

Pros: Buffet is great,needs more vegetable choices for vegetarians
Cons: Restaurants on site need lot of improvements in what they serve. Indian food was not Indian taste or presentation,Chinese And Italian were ☹️
Property is beautiful. This was my third time staying there. Have stayed at Bavaro,grand Bavaro and palace.

A great place if you want food poisoning

Pros: .We were only there for 11 long days.
Cons: The food. The poolside toilet facilities were a disgrace. The poolside bar didn't open till the weekend when the local arrived.
Location: There is very little to do in the day. But an island trip is very good. So is the trip to CoCo Bongo.
The holiday was a disaster. The food was warm or cold and great if you liked pigs trotters for lunch and dinner. What wasn't eaten seemed to be there the next day. The bath/shower was dangerous and the only was to wash you hair was if you got into the bath and stood under the shower. definitely not for the older age group. /what they don't tell you is that the locals can get a weekend pass and use the facilities. Hence all the loungers round the pool were taken up by locals and you couldn't get anywhere to sit. If this information is an insult to the hotel. I am sorry but its true..

We've just came back from our trip and unfortunately stayed at this resort. We had many problems with our original room and we did reported to front desk. The staff and manager at front desk have ZERO customer service. The manager has ZERO critical skill sets to do her job and needs to be removed immediately. When we reported the severe issues in our room (we did it several times), she had the odesity to be rude, disrespectful, condensending, and belittled me and my husband because we were not listening to her staff that things will get fixed and that we had to understand them and worked with them! It took two days for them to fix the issues. Yes, we got a little loud with them after the fact she completly walked away from us when we were speaking to her that she needed to change us rooms (thanks to Expedia's help, we got moved to another room). She felt like we were truly an inconvinience to her and could not understand that they were going to fix the issue. Long story short, we met other guests and sadly all of them had major issues with their rooms and management were just brushing them off with their usual script of "We have reported it and will work on it quickly. Please understand us." And some of these guests even swore that they will never come back to the country because of the horrible experience in how they were treated by reception and management! Sadly, the staff at the bars and restuarants were the complete opposite & were amazing. DON'T STAY HERE!

Bad hotel experience and service

Cons: The service must be improved, they need to show that there guests are important.
We were suppose to spend 6 days and 5 nights at the hotel and only spent 2 days. We were a group of 10 people and unfortunately got hit with Hurricane Maria. One would think that the hotel would be concern about their guest safety and ensuring they have everything they need but not this hotel; we never received any room service, our rooms were never cleaned, when they shut down the restaurants we were told they would send us food but we had to risk our own lives in the middle of the hurricane to go pick up a bag of food. The bag of food contained prison food: a one slice ham and egg cheese slice bread sandwich with no condiments; a small carton of milk, banana and a small carton of cereal. It was truly unbelievable and completely dissatisfying. We never received any attention from any of the hotel staff. The food in general was bad. I'm very sad to say it was such a terrible experience we had no choice but to leave.

Nice hotel close to everything

It was my first time staying at this resort. I had an amazing time. My family and I enjoyed the food, drinks, and service. Our stay wouldn't have been so great without the people that work their that made us feel entertained. My only recommendation is that the entertainment in the lobby be more exciting and the pull out bed be more comfortable for people to sleep in. Other than that everything was perfect.
