DON'T WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY @ THIS HOTEL!

We've just came back from our trip and unfortunately stayed at this resort. We had many problems with our original room and we did reported to front desk. The staff and manager at front desk have ZERO customer service. The manager has ZERO critical skill sets to do her job and needs to be removed immediately. When we reported the severe issues in our room (we did it several times), she had the odesity to be rude, disrespectful, condensending, and belittled me and my husband because we were not listening to her staff that things will get fixed and that we had to understand them and worked with them! It took two days for them to fix the issues. Yes, we got a little loud with them after the fact she completly walked away from us when we were speaking to her that she needed to change us rooms (thanks to Expedia's help, we got moved to another room). She felt like we were truly an inconvinience to her and could not understand that they were going to fix the issue. Long story short, we met other guests and sadly all of them had major issues with their rooms and management were just brushing them off with their usual script of "We have reported it and will work on it quickly. Please understand us." And some of these guests even swore that they will never come back to the country because of the horrible experience in how they were treated by reception and management! Sadly, the staff at the bars and restuarants were the complete opposite & were amazing. DON'T STAY HERE!

Bad hotel experience and service

Cons: The service must be improved, they need to show that there guests are important.
We were suppose to spend 6 days and 5 nights at the hotel and only spent 2 days. We were a group of 10 people and unfortunately got hit with Hurricane Maria. One would think that the hotel would be concern about their guest safety and ensuring they have everything they need but not this hotel; we never received any room service, our rooms were never cleaned, when they shut down the restaurants we were told they would send us food but we had to risk our own lives in the middle of the hurricane to go pick up a bag of food. The bag of food contained prison food: a one slice ham and egg cheese slice bread sandwich with no condiments; a small carton of milk, banana and a small carton of cereal. It was truly unbelievable and completely dissatisfying. We never received any attention from any of the hotel staff. The food in general was bad. I'm very sad to say it was such a terrible experience we had no choice but to leave.

Cons: Fix your shower. Not the bestplace for honeymooners!

Waoo, what a waste of money. They have some real issues with the so call jet tub. Nothing work, all the water spill outside. Then you have to clean it unless you want a swamp room. Horrible staying, won't go back there. The beach was the only thing nice about it.

Nice hotel, beautiful beach, disgruntled staff...

Pros: Great beach, nice pools, well decorated
Cons: The staff's attitude.If they don't like their job then they should go elsewhere! The food was also mediocre with the exception of the Japanese place.
Extremely large property with many hotels you have access to. Nicely decorated with beautiful grounds and beach. I had the loft suite which was very nice but the bathroom tub was a nightmare that you have to climb into (slipped twice) and leaks into the bedroom. The ceiling was also leaking from the room upstairs. The property offers a choice of many restaurants and only one requires reservations which is the Japanese restaurant. Hands down best restaurant with an incredible staff! I went to the Asian restaurant and was given a hard time about getting in. It was 8:30 pm and was told it was all booked up? I went to the Mexican restaurant and received the rudest treatment I have ever encountered. I was there at 9:15 pm and was told again they were all booked up. Yet, the majority of tables were empty. When I asked to speak to the mgr the hostess rolled her eyes spoke to me rudely then proceeded to speak about me in Spanish to another hostess. After I spoke with the mgr I was told they would make an exception but would have to wait. Once in the restaurant I was greeted by a waiter who abruptly took my order, answered my question with sarcasm and stormed off to the kitchen. This is not the vacation I was dreaming about. It seemed many employees resented their guests. It was difficult to get a smile from most of them! Definitely not a place I would return to.

Facilities, food, location, beach were all good, definitely above satisfactory. Resort is a bit too large and too many vacationers for my personal taste. The excursions offered in th Bavaro area are all packed with people. That said, if a large all inclusive resort on a nice beach is your ideal vacation- you will enjoy your stay.

WORST RESORT STAY EVER. 0 STARS. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Pros: We got an upgraded room for free since the hotel thought we were on our honeymoon. But that might have led the employees to target us for theft.
Cons: The customer service provided by the hotel was extremely lacking and not at all worth the amount of money spent. We spent the vacation in distress.
Unfortunately, the stay and service at the Grand Palladium Palace was highly inadequate. Within 4 hours of checking in, our property was stolen including both of our wallets, $200 in cash, and my boyfriend’s iPhone 7. We spoke to the front desk and guest services to file a formal complaint. Day after day, the front desk they claimed that we never filed any complaint. A bold face lie. We started tracking the phone using Find My Iphone and noticed it was moving from the back room of the lobby to the towel shack by the pool. The employees were getting visibly worried that we could track the phone and started asking us questions about how the tracker works. We continuously asked the managers to contact the local police to file an official complaint and they resisted and refused to let us contact them on our own. Eventually security “found” one wallet. My boyfriend and I searched for hours in the shrubbery and luckily found his iPhone. Upon checkout, we had a charge of $208 for our spa services that we had charged to the room just after checking in the first day. We had already made the management aware of our situation several times and they had ensured us it would not affect our billing. None of our credit cards were active but they demanded we pay for the service in order to leave the resort. The hotel manager had no regard for our issues. We were forced to use our remaining cash to pay for the charge because we didn’t want to miss our flight and get stranded in the DR.

We have a big security department working 24 hours in all the complex but we always recommend keeping your belongings watched in public areas. I should inform you that we conducted the investigation following the procedure but the police, according to Dominican law, can not appear at the hotel without having made a complaint previously at the police station. That is why, the police did not come. We regret that this fact has tarnished your stay with us and we hope you can give us another opportunity to reverse that bad impression of your last stay in order to live a real Palladium experience. Beautiful hotel. Many things to do.

Cons: Lighting in the rooms. Some of the food. The slippery floors in the rooms.
Location: The location was great. Right near the beach. Lots to do.
Wonderful experience. Beautiful room, pools, bars, restaurants, scenery, etc. Had a great time. Staff was great and inviting.

We had bad experience from the hotel was disappointing, we got in to a room was very small that you can barley move inside. Plus the room wasn't nice at all, we had nails coming out of the wall, the tap shower were old , mirror was old and dirty. You planned to stay longer but after the first night we just wanted to leave, the manager was talking to us and tell us he will help us if we will give him a chance. We came back after 3 day and nobody help us. Very disappointing place, employees were not to nice, check in eas very slow , old and small room look like a cheap hostel. We will not come back !

Nice beach, hotel below expectations

Pros: beautiful beach and ocean, small waves, soft yellow sand, clear water Hotel grounds had pretty foliage, no bugs, close walk to beach Cons: arrival was confusing, no explanation of accommodations Room smelled like mold, they moved us to another room that smelled fine Shower was awful. You have to climb into the tub to reach the shower. The shower head hangs too far back and you have to lean backwards to fit underneath it. Water flows around the tub and there is no drainage for it. The best solution is to use a towel to soak up the water after the shower. There are smoked glass doors to the bathroom entrance and shower/tub. There is limited privacy. Very awkward. Restaurants are not open all day except the sports bar, breakfast ended at 10 am, no where to get snacks easily Service was not that great, at many buffet meals, we were not given drinks or silverware when it was crowded, some times a server would seat us while other times we had to find our own table Overall, the property is very pretty but the staff wasn't that happy or friendly. The friendliest person was a lady asking us to fill out a survey during departure and rate it 5 stars.
