Nice beachfront hotel

Pros: Beautiful and well maintained grounds, comfortable rooms and nice pools; better hotel staff communication with the guests
Cons: THE DINNER RESERVATIONS SYSTEM!! Very simple solution would be to enter your requested time, place and room number between a certain time period.
Overall, the resort is nice but too large to enjoy all of the other places. Very confusing as to what was offered and when. The biggest issue was the dinner reservation system. It was extremely frustrating and inconsistent from one restaurant to another. Every day it was a different story from the staff and no one could ever eat at a decent time. It became quite obvious to the guests that this is the way for corporate to control their food costs with a resort this size. Also, it is obvious that the liquor is watered down as well. As far as the food, all was average and the wine was terrible. I was looking for more local cuisine to be offered which is what I enjoy when traveling. Going forward, I will not be coming back to this resort because of the reservation system. I found it to be very stressful and I am on vacation to be relieving my stress, not adding to it over eating a meal.

Nice beach resort

Pros: Beautiful grounds, decent rooms, clean pools
Cons: DINNER RESERVATIONS!!!!!!!!! ABSOLUTELY AWFUL AND FRUSTRATING SYSTEM; Better hotel staff communications with guests.
Overall, this hotel was nice but a bit too large so it made it hard to see all of the other resorts. The most frustrating issue was the dinner reservation system which never made any sense at any of the restaurants. Each one would tell you a different answer. The solution of having a reservation system which allowed you to enter your requested time, place and room number would easily solve the problem. It is very obvious that this resort controls their food costs by having this ridiculous system which was a frustration to everyone in our group. Therefore, I will not be coming back to this resort for this reason. Also, it is also very obvious that the liquor is watered done, another cost control measure. Going forward, I do not think I will ever due an all-inclusive resort again. It really is not worth it when you get average food, bad wine and watered down liquor.

Palace? I think not.

Pros: The beach is only the only saving grace for this hotel unfortunately.
Cons: Everything needs improvement. Most importantly staff need to learn how to treat guests with respect and show concern for the quality of our stay.
Several friends and I had the misfortune of selecting the Grand Palladium Palace Punta Cana resort to spend the New Year holiday. I have honestly never encountered a more disappointing experience. From the moment our party arrived, we were made to feel like a burden to the staff members. Particularly, the "manager" of reception, Roxer, at one of the front desks - although he is not the only one, trust me! Although we made simple requests - asking for our room to have two beds like we had selected during the reservation -requesting keys that actually work (we were told we needed to walk all the way back to reception after traveling all day and then hung up on) - requesting a room close to the building where our friends were (we were lied to and told this was happening and then given rooms in buildings 15 minutes apart), etc. It was one issue after another and each time we were met with a very hostile, unapologetic staff at the front desk. In fact, I can tell you with entire honesty that throughout our stay, not one employee mustered up the words "I'm sorry." I guess attempting to satisfy customers is not part of the Grand Palladium customer service plan? Additionally, I would like to add that the quality of food served is inconceivable. I took pictures of what looked like a rotted lobster and tasted as such that was served to me at the New Years Eve dinner. I have other pictures of a plate of cookies being served at the front desk crawling with bugs and stains on sheets, etc

Lots to do

Hotel was on a enormous property and there was a lot to do! We never left the 5 days we stayed and was never bored. Some small improvements could be made in our room bathroom but our room itself was very considerable. We were suppose to be in the Palaxe section and they put us in the Punta Cana section which we didn't figure out til the end of our trip. Unfortunately we were awoken to loud bell ringing from the kiddie pool outside our room. We didn't have our kids with us so this was a bit annoying since we looked forward to sleeping in. I think we got put in a lesser value room and paid for the higher end. Beautiful property with so many pol options and restaurants to choose from. Enjoyed all meals and we go back with pit kids next time.

We got in at 6 am and the clerk was surprised and said no one checks in early ... But he knew we came from far away and quickly found us a room

El recinto es bien grande. La piscina para adultos sólo es un oasis. Por lo demás hay alternativas mejores por menos dinero en Punta Cana. Busca los recién reformados!

5* Resort, 3* Food and Staff

Resort/ rooms- beautiful resort, no complaints regarding cleanliness, location or general condition of the rooms or amenities. Very big resort and takes some time to get around/ wait for the resort train (supposed to come every 15 mins, realistically comes every 30/40 mins). The room was a great size (the en suite especially!) Spa treatments - the massages were well worth the money - we got the 80 minute full body massages and the ladies were brilliant. Spa staff - Alexis was wonderful and a credit to the hotel. Towel staff - terrible experience when we tried to return the towels to the towel hut but they did not have enough towel cards to return, when we said we needed the cards as we were checking out the staff said 'I don't care' Every single member of staff was continuously trying to sell excursions, this was annoying when we were trying to relax. Food - typical buffet/ all you can eat food. We did not enjoy the food at any of the buffet restaurants, although enjoyed a few bits from the breakfast menu (pancakes and bacon!) The a la carte restaurants were eatable. Drinks - lots of choice, bar staff very accommodating, all drinks included except certain wines at the a la carte's. For us, food is important so whilst the restaurant itself was beautiful, spa gorgeous and we had a brilliant time overall... We wouldn't go back nor recommend this to anybody.

Upgraded 2 Bavaro and worth it!

We were upgraded 2 the Grand Pall Bavaro. It was gorgeous! The grounds were beautiful the staff extremely nice! This was our second time and we will definitely be back!
