Cons: The food at the buffets. My family had several issues with their room doors.
This was my second time in Punta Cana and I was under the impression that this resort was suppose to be WAYYY better then the one that I had previously stayed in. The food was sub-par. The staff do not look happy and were not as accommodating or helpful as I would have liked. It was also very confusing trying to get around the resort. The train comes by every 30 min it felt like so you might as well just walk to wherever you are trying to go.

Great place to stay

Pros: right on the beach with 4 pools available
Cons: did not like being across from the construction area , it was loud
Location: Took the Combay tour which was very nice to see part of the country
I brought more people this time and had a great stay. The POP (People of Palladium) did a great job keeping everyone involved in games and the shows at night were great. The only negative was the construction I feel they could have put us in a different part of the resort.

Close to beach but far from resort amenities

Pros: Close to the beach, no restrictions of facility use based on wristband, no limitations for number of restaurants, and resort cares about your opinion.
Cons: English proficiency of staff, mattresses, clean the beach, tram system, smell at the Punta Cana lobby bar.
Location: About a 30 minute drive from the airport and is a very windy drive at that. Is close to a lot of excursion areas and to the vendors on the beach.
Hotel room: Our room was 2031 of the Punta Cana resort, which was as close to the beach as you could get and that was great. The bed was very hard, the shower door was broken, and there were only plastic chairs to sit on for the balcony. It was spacious and clean, but the maids are dreadfully slow and the drinks guy only comes around once unless you ask the front desk. Resort: Constantly maintained, huge in size which is a downside because it takes forever to walk to things (would suggest staying at the Bavarro instead because it's closer to almost everything - sports bar, shopping, theaters). The Punta Cana lobby bar is awful to sit at because there is a wafting smell of horse crap all the time. All over the resort there are people constantly trying to get you to look at their table of jewelry,sell you excursions, bring you to the spa, etc. and this is SOO annoying. Entertainment: There are two shows (one at 9 pm and one at 10:15 pm) and they are your traditional resort entertainment. The dancers at the 10:15 pm show are all great, but they are almost never in sync. Staff: All were very limited in English except for our Expedia representative Houston who was awesome. This is a big barrier for check-in when they are suppose to inform you of important information about the resort. They provide a booklet and there are binders in the room that are more helpful than the staff. Kind staff! Food: Buffet is pretty average - bland but lots of choices. Restaurants were all great!

Best hotel I've ever stayed at! Wow!!

We were treated like royalty at this hotel! The room opened to our own pool right outside! This sold me immediately! Full mininbar with huge bottles of alcohol to enjoy in room as well as 24 hour room service and amazing restaurants and food! Although we were only here for 24 hours we want to go back immediately! This was the most luxurious hotel we have stayed at! Loved it!! Thank you for amazing service hospitality and a clean and exquisite room and stay!! We will see you again! Love Jen and luís

Over priced hotel big but 0 quality!!!

The hotel is big but they don't do well mantenience !! The room they give me was horrible and small ...... management pretend they care about the costumer, but in reality they don't at all , won't never recomend this place to know one !!!

Nice resort, terrible food

The resort was gorgeous, our son loved the kids pool area and the beach was picturesque. Unfortunately, the food was pretty terrible. The buffet food ended up making our entire family sick, so much so that we always made sure to be near a bathroom for the rest of the stay. I will say the drinks were generous in their pour so that was a plus. Sadly I would not recommend this hotel to anyone based on the food alone.

Read this!

This is my first review ever of a resort, as I seem compelled to do so. Upon arrival, we were greeted and tagged with a colored wrist band. These bands are used by staff to determine your status within. Not all treated fairly. We were assigned our room, at first glance seemed appropriate, but as the next two days went on, we were surprised to find out that absolutely nothing in the room functioned properly or at all. This included the safe, the hot water, fridge nor air conditiioning primarily.. The bedding sheets had holes, and there was a 1" gap at the bottom of the door that allowed any critters to walk in and enjoy the 85º temperature inside. Upon repeated requests to have these items fixed, or a room change, our demands were unanswered. The food at the buffet was not appealing nor was there any flavour, the restaurants were not any better. We felt constantly harassed by vendors and some staff... after 3 nights there we left for a different resort.... 100% better.
