I would never recommend this hotel to anyone!!!

Pros: I liked the beach, thats about it. We tried to book a flight home two days into the trip. If they were not so expensive we would have went home.
Cons: basically everything. I have never been somewhere so disappointing in my life. I honestly wish there could be some sort of refund it was that awful.
Would not recommend this resort to anyone!!! First off, we got here on December 13th and had to wait around for 40 minutes for someone to bring us to our room. Mind you our room was 2 minutes away and we could have walked ourselves but they don't alllow you to. When we pulled up the worker at the front grabbed our luggage from our hands and would not let us keep it near us. We finally got to our room and the room is NOTHING we thought it would be. There is cracks on the walls, the light is hanging in the bathroom, the shower door does not even shut all the way, we did not have hot water. On top of not having hot water we didn't have water at all twice already. Completely shut off and when we called the front desk they rudely said "We are fixing it" as it took forever to go back on. The vents you hear everything from the room over. And my friend woke up with 5 bite marks on her that resembled bed bugs!!! When someone uses the bathroom in the room over from you, you hear the toilet flush and it sounds like all off it is coming into your shower. We did not get room service for 4 days after returning. Had to actually grab towels from house keeping because no one came to our room. Besides the room, the staff does not leave you alone. We booked this trip ALL inclusive for a reason. Not to be hounded about buying items from the people here. All excursions you were harassed to book. We ended up having to be rude to get them away from us!! Never go here!! Save your money!!!!

Unfriendly staff & hidden Expedia fees

The staff never smile or act happy to see you. Better bring your own drinks to meals, because you will not be served when you sit down. Expedia never conveyed the $1300 (!!!) charge I was faced with for my travel companion sharing my room, which I already paid for. I will never be back and will not be recommending this experience to anyone.

Love the experience! The food is really good and the ropma very comfortable! Loved this weekend!!!!!!! My husband love this too, the people is just really nice and we had a really good time.. the shows, pool activities, very very nice, im really glad we selected these hotel.

Too much solicitation! No privacy! Pushy locals!

Location: Can't really comment as we were turned off by the constant push from on-site sales people! Plus weather wasn't really co-operative for snorkelling.
There isn't enough characters to express my disappointment! From the minute we arrived, we were inundated with people trying to sell us something! I've only booked all-inclusive in the past to assure my peacefulness while I enjoy the weather and facilities. I have never been harassed by employees or on-site excursion people like I was here! Absolutely ridiculous! We even found ourselves diverting our morning walk to bypass these individuals, only to have them wait at the entrance of the building our room was in. Whats with that? They put themselves directly in front of us, blocking our way, right in our faces! Even while on the beach we couldn't just sit and enjoy the view for fear of being deluged with harassing solicitors! Also....we were taken to a 90min sales pitch for the Members Club the very first day! And believe it or not, that was more enjoyable as we at least knew what we were getting into and we were kept away from all the other sales people! Andy was amazing and had we been prepared, we would have joined and gotten into the more exclusive section! The main pool was in disrepair and had a lot of debris floating in it and on the pavement around it! The shower stall door wouldn't close in our room, the water was non-existent one day we were there, the language barrier was huge, the drinks were too strong (after the first one), the room service would not deliver a simple bottle of Coca Cola with the meal, the prices at the shops were over 400%! Will never be back!!!

They advertise as a 5 star but are anything but...

Cons: They will push you on their TravelClub EVERY day and it gets old fast. No real savings but if you hold out, the price will lower a lot.
Location: Hard to say since we weren't told about or given an activity schedule for the first 5 days.
The resort is very large and there is a lot of walking. Not a bad thing, just know it. Go to dinner at 6pm when the restaurants open or you will stand in line for an hour or more. The staff was unfriendly almost everywhere. When you had a question or needed help it was like you were inconveniencing the staff. We asked for a razor at the front desk and it took 3 days of asking before we got one. We had questions about our transfers and got no help and only one word answers. (Not a language issue) Our room was never cleaned or even visited 2 days and the other days, the bed sheets were pulled up but not made. When 2 employees were walking a corridor, they expect you to move out of their way. We found many staff members hiding during the day if no one was watching. We had no hot water on 2 days, refrigerator wasn’t cold, thermostat was broken on the A/C so it was either on or off. Tiles and concrete broken at multiple areas in the pool. Lights in the pavers missing and holes for tripping hazards. Days at the breakfast buffet with no orange juice at breakfast, empty trays were food would be, no coffee made, etc. Everything was small but together... I won't recommend the place.

So many options and huge resorts for price of one!

We have been many times to DR and stayed at different resorts. We chose this one for our wedding and had a blast with friends and family. There are so many things to do from activities to excursions close by. Plus the shops outside the resort. Those of our family and friends who went for the first time are already planning on returning. Our wedding was Beautiful❤!

Don't GO!

Cons: See abvove!
Location: Negotiate any tour!
Wrong size beds, electrical outlets don't work, A/C not adjustable and rattled, no washcloths, toilet leaked so floor was wet, no TV signal, never fresh towels by pool, could not get into restaurants, poor shuttle service around resort, shows were boring=same dances in different costumes, no information on activities happening on resort or where!!!! Too much to list!

Switch my room

I had to switch my room because air conditioner wasn't working good. So manager was nice enough to switch my room with a better air conditioner.

Skip Leg Day, plenty of walking...

Pros: The beach, food, pool, and the activities.
Cons: More transportation, cold fridge, restaurant wait times, newer rooms, more beach towels, better bartenders, less merchants.
Location: The location is safe as long as you stay inside the resort. If you decide to go outside, be careful for thieves looking to mug tourists.
The transportation is terrible, not nearly enough golf-cart-trains for everyone, you usually have to wait about 20-40 minutes for one. And when you get one, you're basically on top of someone. The room fridge didn't cool any drinks. We told the front desk about it and they said they will send someone to fix it; 2 days later, still no cold fridge. Not enough beach towels, get them early. The wait for the A La Carte restaurants is abysmal, either get there 30min before they open or wait about 45-180min. I was told to come back in 45 min about 3 times, then they closed. The lady felt bad at least and gave me a reservation for the next day. Then I find out they don't even have Churrasco meat! The place was a Brazilian Rodizio for crying out loud! Good thing that the buffet food is amazing! Find a good bartender or your drinks will taste terrible. The beer said it was Presidente but it definitely didn't taste like it. Merchants everywhere trying to sell you stuff. You have to be a jerk sometimes or they won't leave you alone. The beach is magnificent, the pool is nice, lots of activities for the kids, the staff are good to you at the beginning nut if you don't give them tips, they will remember you and not in a good way.
