Nice beach, lots of pools and restaurants to choose from. Good liquor. Jetted tub was overrated and TV was too small but then again most of your time will be spent outside anyway... I would go there again.

Beautiful hotel, great vacation with a rough startPosted Sep 24, 2015
This was my 2nd stay at the Hard Rock, had to go back after my last year's experience was so fantastic. My only complaint was at check in, we were taking to a separate desk, the MIP desk. They found our reservation and things seem ok until the 2nd reservation for the couple with us was pulled up and the guy claimed we had not paid for it and we owed money. We advised him that we booked the trip with Expedia and paid in full, to which he replied "well then i would love to see the confirmation" he stood there and waited for us to pull the email. Another person came and said under her breath how the reservation was not paid. By this time we were feeling unwelcomed and most certainly not VIP. We expressed the above to which he replied i need the confirmation and proceeded to make a phone call. All it took was 2 mins and all was resolved. He claimed he was able to fix everything and we were ok. This was a bad start to our vacation but i knew the hotel itself wouldn't disappoint, sad that the customer service we received was not up to par with what the Hard Rock stands for

Everything was amazingPosted Sep 22, 2015
Except the ants on the dresser. Other than that. Everything was amazing. There was always something to do. Planning another trip there soon.

Pros: very well maintained
Service was top shelf, when they say all-inclusive it's on the mark. you can leave your money at home (unless you like to gamble at the casino, which by the way is also top shelf). great family atmosphere.

Pros: LAS COMIDA Y TODAS LAS PICINAS QUE TENIAN

had a great time!Posted Sep 9, 2015
Pros: Great staff, really knows how to set the mood for a good time, especially on the excursions. Beautiful hotel, beautiful rooms. Eden pool (topless)
Cons: Definitely the food and the time share sales thing should not even be mentioned except for maybe a brochure in the room.
Location: Great location, only went off site once for the catamaran thing, but I hear the nightclub Coco Bongo is good.
Had a room with a beach /pool view, it was beautiful. The staff was extremely friendly and awesome and treated us very well. The food was hit or miss. We had a very good meal at Isla, were told to ask for the chef named Francis and ask him for the seafood bowl which had lobster, shrimp and calamari. It was delicious. we also had a great meal at Zen( hibachi) and breakfast at The Market was good. I don't recommend breakfast at Ciao or dinner at Toro. We did the catamaran excursion to Saona which I highly recommend. Speed boat ride to crystal clear waist deep water with rum, music and dancing, then ride to the island for lunch, more rum and dancing, then catamaran ride back to the bus with more rum and dancing. Just beware, it's an all day event and we spent a lot of time waiting on the bus. but a lot of fun. Horseback riding on the beach was cool too. Beach bar party one night with fire dancers. That was cool. All in all it was a great time. They will ask you to attend a meeting/breakfast to try to sell you a timeshare. We didn't do it. I wasn't going to spend one minute of my vacation being pressured into buying anything. As far as tipping goes, I did tip a few but as a rule was told not to for fear of making other non tipping guests uncomfortable so if you do keep it discreet. Staff surprised us with a full bubbly jacuzzi and a bottle of champagne, rose petals and towels in the shape of a heart, even though it was just me and my female cousin lol. awesome!
