Beautiful resort

Pros: The room
Cons: here was no posted schedule of events for the stage area or for the pool.
Location: I stayed on the resort and the beach.
The rooms are wonderful, the layout of the resort is superb. The food at the buffet is fine and the restaurants are about the same, so the only reason to go to a restaurant is to get away from the buffet. I am not one to like the roaming entertainers who come around the pool and have games and such. I'd rather relax. And they didn't bother me. T

The pool was disgusting and the rooms need work

The pool really needs to be redone its old and dirty and to be cleaned on a daily basis. The staff is very nice.. The rooms need makeover and the water pressure was bad in the shower. The refrigerator in the room was not cold at all. The buffet at lunch is out in the open and to many flies on the food. The concierge also bothers you to much about meating with sales people to buy time share. Don't get sucker into it.

Nice enough hotel, good for kids. Don't upgrade!!

Pros: The resort staff was friendly and very nice to the kids. The pool was great and so was the beach. The buffet food was good and had a lot of variety.
Cons: We immediately tried to book dinner reservations and were told they were booked all week. WORST-their room service menu is very limited.
Location: Lots of beach activities, swimming, shows
We upgraded to a Superior Ocean Front suite that came with a private terrace and Jacuzzi. Basically their top of the line room. It was a nice room, but NOT worth the upgrade. First of all. the 'private' part of the terrace just means that no one else can use it. But it certainly isn't private. It's right off the main sidewalk to the beach so it was constantly busy. Plus, the room is supposed to come with free wifi but it only worked about 50% of the time. There was supposed to be a 'free gift' waiting in our room but there wasn't, there was supposed to be 'in room check-in' but there wasn't. Our room wasn't even assigned when we got there even though I'd paid for it a month earlier. Worst of all was trying to arrange dinner. We immediately tried to make dinner reservations at the resort's specialty restaurants before we even went to our room. We found out they were already booked for the week. The most disappointing of all was the room service menu. It was very, very limited. Only a couple salads and sandwiches. Not anything at all for breakfast, which is a shame since having breakfast in your room is a real treat on vacation. Of the staff, the only rude, unhelpful person was the local Expedia rep. Overall-our stay was nice but I wished we'd saved our money and never bothered with the upgrade. If we ever go back we'll look into other resorts and do more research to make sure we end up with the services that we want.

Nice Family Resort

Pros: The garden and fountains around the resort.
Cons: The resort needs some updating to be done and they need to improve appointment system they have for the restaurants within the resort.
Location: The resort is not to far away from the Punta Cana airport and I felt safe going outside the resort.
I end up coming to this resort for our first family trip together. We enjoyed our stay at the resort.

Beutifull beach hotel perfect for family

First the animation team makes every day entartainment from morning to night yoana banana super mambo and calvein klein and more keeps everybodybusy of fun hotel and people are awsome the food is perfect the buffet and great time to spend wth family my day there was waking up went to breakfast saying hi to every body after breakfast went to room and then went to lunch to buffet then we went to pool during pool time all day had a lot activity to do wih tne animation team and 7 pm close pool went to room and one hour later went to dinner buffet and then went to live entertainment untill almost 12 pm went to sleep great place to stay all inclusive no charge thank for the worker made our fam vacation always to remember i would go back again.

Fun time with wonderful staff

We had a great time. Most of the staff were very nice and friendly. Karen at the front desk was warm and accommodating. They waived our connecting rooms fee after I told them that we traveled to the Caribbean islands every year and never had to pay extra for connecting rooms. Esteban and Gerald, the activities coordinators were truly wonderful. They always make sure we all have fun. There were so many activities each day that our children were having a blast...Carla at the bar always serve drinks with a warm smile... David and Mario were our favorite waiters who treated us like friends. Food was relatively good. We have no problem with dinner reservations. I emailed the hotel a few days before requesting the restaurants and the time we preferred and we got exactly what we wanted. Yorki, our super friendly concierge delivered the reservation confirmation to our rooms. The rooms were always soo clean... However, since the hotel was a little dated, not everything works well all of the time. We decided not to let those little things bother us since we were hardly in our rooms anyhow. We tipped almost everyone there because they worked and tried so hard to please us ( FYI: an average wage for a hotel's employee is only 15 dollars per day). Everyone were happy to see us, and by the 4th day, many workers there greeted us by names. Overall, it was a very good experience at Iberostar Bavaro suites.

Another year of excellence

Forth time at Iberostar in Dominican Republic and as expected simply AMAZING! Charm, friendliness and amazing food each time make us come back. We would recommend Iberostar to anyone who wants to spend an unforgettable time and feel pampered. We are already thinking about our next trip to Iberostar.
