Amazing experience

Pros: The hotel was great but the staff is what made the difference, excellent people!
Cons: Jacuzzi and a pool bar
Location: We did the Saona island trip and it was great as well
This hotel was amazing, everything was extremely clean but the customer service tops it all! Everyone was so friendly, Carlos, Jose and Vilorio were phenomenal. I wish I could remember everyone's name. The people that took care of the activities were so good and full of energy. The food was great as well. I cannot think of a single thing that I did not like. We had a big group and they were attentive and nice to all of us. We are already planning another trip for September and we will stay in the same resort.

Best beech ever

Our family of four recently stayed at this location. Fantastic beach. Truly the best beach we have ever stayed on.

This was a beautiful place to stay!

Pros: Just beautiful surroundings, very clean, very happy, helpful staff.
Cons: A few more English speaking staff would be helpful, but the ones that did speak English were very helpful, patient with our not understanding Spanish.
Location: Locations was very beautiful & tropical. All sorts of activities were available. Parasailing, kayaking, archery, line dancing, tubing, tours.
This resort was wonderful. Staff was very helpful, and curtious. Would recommend it to anyone. One thing I noticed, was staff was always smiling and willing to do anything for us. Beautiful rooms, pools, gardens. Food was plentiful and good. Travel agents for various companies were on site to help with tours and hotel staff was willing to help with tours also. Highly recommended. Facilities were well maintained and always very clean. I would go back again.

Clean, entertaining and friendly.

The staff at iberostar is extra friendly. Everyone I encountered greeted me with a smile and made sure I was satisfied with my stay. The rooms and resort is very clean. Bed is a little uncomfortable, too hard but that's my liking. Room temperature could not be controlled, some nights were too warm. I enjoyed most of the entertainment hosted by resort. They do a good job of putting together shows after dinner and will encourage dancing after the show. Very family oriented. I would recommend this resort for your family.

Ocean View ?

Pros: The beach was beautiful. The room was kept clean.
Cons: Temperature control on the food. Hot food was not kept hot, cold food was not kept cold. If an area is under construction it should be shut down.
On the day we arrived we checked out our room and the sliding glass door lock was broken. I attempted to call the front desk to report it and the phone did not work. My wife and I reported these items on the way to dinner. We had dinner. Temperature control on food items were nonexistent. The quality of the food was not bad, but the way it was left sitting in the heat without keeping it cold or hot depending on the food was inexcusable. This was the case the entire stay. After two bouts of diarrhea I decided to eat only things that had just came off the grill or rice. Our Ocean View room was impeded by the new construction of a welcome center for star members. Constant banging from 9am to10pm and an unsightly mess of ditches being dug, piping laying all over the place, and construction workers were our view. On the 11th day of our stay the television went out and we had no way of drowning out the construction noise when we went back to the room to relax. An attempt to fix it was in vein. On the 12th day of our stay the air conditioning went out. Still no television and construction just outside our veranda, enough was enough and we got a different room. We were told the hotel was overbooked and there were no Ocean View rooms left. Had to settle for a room in the middle of the complex with open ditches and piping,but no construction noise.

Okay for a quiet vacation

Pros: The food.
Cons: The type of activities and activities for the kids of all ages during the day.
Location: Location was about an hour plus from airport. Activities we did were not close. Spent an hour + each way for each of the 2 activities we did.
This resort was nice but nothing spectacular. If you are looking for a quiet vacation to sit by the pool or on the beach then it's a great place. Not a great place to take kids if you want activities. The kid's club is almost not existence. The organized activities are ok by they repeat the same ones almost every day. The pool is clean but nothing special. Just a pool. The rooms were okay, nothing to complain about but nothing to compliment either. The food was great. My teenage children loved the food and the choices. That definitely made life easier. We went on two additional excursions off site because there was so little to do on site during the day.

nice hotel, good food

I walk with a cane, handicap accessible. They even have a walkway up to the beach for wheelchairs. Food is good, room was nice. They had elevators for the rooms. Beach was a bit rough with some waves. Pool was big but very cold. One complaint was you could not take a bottle of wine to your room. I had to walk with a glass of wine and a cane back to my room. I finally bought a container from there store. All and all a good trip. We did 2 weeks
