Nice hotel

We stayed in different locations at iberostar twice. This was our third time. Overall experience was positive. Nice hotel but a little old. Plenty of food to choose. Nice people working hard to please you . The first day they tried to sell us membership for 11K. Spent 2 hours listening. At least they gave me 1 hours free massage and 30 iberostar dollars. I like this hotel and could recommend to others

Ocean Views!

I booked two rooms with Ocean Views and received pool views. Premium internet didn't work. Shower ran dry of water. Buffet every night same food.

Hotel staff was amazing and engaging!

I had a great time at Iberostar Dominicana and would definitely return. The facilities were great and the people here were even greater.

Comfort stay

I liked the hotel but when you compare it to others hotels in the area is not one of the best for the price. One thing I did not like is that the pool bar is not inside the pool so you have to get out of the pool every time to get a drink and they only have one person attending guests around the pool, the drinks are not one of the best drinks either. The food was good, but the service for the restaurants reservation was horrible, we only ate twice on a restaurant because every time we went to check on our reservation the guy said oh there is no reservation because the hotel is full, and people who got there after us had reservations so we ended up eating at the buffet which the food was great but there were no AC and it was extremely hot.

ENGLISH SPEAKERS ARE LESS ENTITLED & TREATED BAD

Pros: JOSE and JAVIER in STAR ROCK CAFE treated us AMAZING! LUIS from GUEST SERVICES was very accommodating!
Cons: ALOT! Treat the guests equally, clean up the resort.
Location: Close to airport, only bonus.
My husband and I booked this resort for our honeymoon getaway, hoping service would be good enough to come back next year and do a large celebration and more formal wedding. Instead it was a nightmare! We went to the La Cana a la carte restaurant (steak house) and realized we weren't getting service because we were not in a large party. I asked 5 waiters for a glass of Coca Cola, 25 MINUTES LATER I received it. Another night we booked Star rock cafe, asked for a glass of water and got glasses with lipstick residue and stuff floating in my water, I received a lemonade when asking for pina colada, horrible service. Bought a floating device at pool shop, the woman gave me incorrect change keeping $2 for herself. In between the rooms there is a large pond with fish and it was unsanitary, there was a beer bottle floating in it for 3 of the 5 days we were there. We complained to management about these issues and nothing could be done, on the last day i was offered a bottle of wine and massages which i could not even enjoy because it was my last day, and was informed the GENERAL manager Horhay didn't speak english and had a translator(later found out from another employee, he was LYING). Alcohol doesn't solve problems, I don't want a cheap bottle of wine to make up for the poor treatment. Just because I'm english speaking doesn't mean I'm less entitled. On the website we read about an upgrade for a honeymoon suite, we only got a bottle of champagne & was told there is no such thing!

Pros: I love that they are private property no one walking around harassing you to do excursions. they have a designated area for this if you are interested
Location: I didnt leave the premises but there is plenty to do there no need to go out
My Vacation was amazing the hotel staff and premises where all great. I plan to visit again

Nice hotel with friendly, helpful staff

This was our first trip to Punta Cana and the Iberostar hotel was great. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating . We enjoyed the landscaping, the birds, and the beach was beautiful. We enjoyed the food too especially the buffets. We would definitely stay there again!

Great Hotel and beautiful beach

We spent 7 days at Iberostar Dominicana. Our room was very clean and bed was comfortable. Buffet had great selection of different type of food- I am vegetarian and I was able to find something for myself. They always have fresh fruit and they serve smoothies for breakfast. Entire property is well maintained - lots of palm trees, bushes and flowers. there is a lot of chairs at the beach all under leaf umbrellas - although if you want the front row make sure to be there early in the morning. Pool area is also really nice. There is 2 buffets and 4 bar by the beach and pool. Hotel does entertainment at night, shows on one side of the hotel and live music and dancing on the other side. All employees were excellent, extremely nice always happy and ready to serve you at all times. Highly recommended!

Great place near the beach for a family vacation

Pros: Great beach, really nice staff.
Cons: Quality of food. Reduced and repetitive options at the buffet restaurants. Nothing exceptional at "á la carte" restaurants except for the steakhouse.
Location: The hotel complex is beautiful and on the beachfront. If you travel with small children there is no need to leave the hotel.
We had a very pleasant one-week stay at Iberostar Dominicana. The hotel complex has all the necessary amenties for great family fun, all in font of great white sand beaches.

Not bad but not 5 star!

We definitely enjoyed the hotel and its amenities however the bathroom needs a little updating. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. The buffets were great but the restaurants were just ok. All that being said I would go back but maybe not for seven days.
