Staff is over the top

Pros: Attention of staff. Clean grounds. Very quiet at night and even up threw 10 am when we slept in after late nights out. Great showers and hot tubs.
Cons: Put eggs Benedict on the menu with holandey sauce
Location: Beach at resort is great. Can get ride to on property casino in golf cart no charge or take taxi to Hard Rock Resort Casino if you like to gamble.
Service was exceptional. We were told by a concierge the first day. There's two rules don't be shy if you want something ask also have fun every day. We didn't like our view we could see the ocean but not fully. We asked and got a better view in another room. The resort is very very well run. We had some medical issues at 4 am and needed a couple things the staff was helpful and pleasant even at 4 am. The food was very good. The atmosphere also very nice

Easy week-long getaway

Pros: - Top flight facility - Relatively close to airport and excursion activities - Clean beach with calm waters - Overall excellent food
Cons: - Some meal dishes were "hit and miss" - Casino was small and lacked atmosphere - High pressure sales pitch to join "The Club" was disheartening....
Location: Nice beaches and pool non-motorized watersports free Long and accessible beaches Lots of day excursions to choose from
- Non-stop flights to/from Washington Dulles - One of, if not the, top-rated all-inclusives in Punta Cana - Excellent facilities - Long, clean hospitable beaches and waters - Friendly staff and convivial guests - Five theme restaurants, buffet, and pool snack bar

Awesome vacation - and awesome hotel!

Really nice place - convenient to airport and all inclusive! Top shelf drinks, excellent staff, and great layout for beach and pool! Excellent food - at the buffets and at the restaurants Some "look outs" Avoid the Expedia tours - they are over crowded, (we did the ATV adventure and Horse back on the beach) and really under whelming. Transportation on those excursions is in open trucks, not bus and the salesperson was not helpful Also EVERYONE expects tips - not a problem, just bring a lot of $1's You have to book your restaurants long in advance of arrival - they were all full when we checked in, but they ARE worth the wait!!!!

Fabulous Adults Only Resort in Bavaro Beach

Pros: The resort grounds and facilities are fabulous, the food was excellent and the service terrific.
Cons: Reservations at specialty restaurants required multiple concierge visits. A "short presentation" on The Club turned into a 4 hour high pressure pitch.
Location: We never left the resort - it had everything we wanted right there.
We had a thoroughly wonderful stay at the Iberostar Grand Hotel Bavaro Beach. The resort grounds and rooms are meticulously groomed. The beach is beautiful white sand with ample shade from palm trees and thatched cabanas. The food was excellent and the specialty restaurants provided a nice menu and venue variety. The nightly shows were very entertaining and all of the theater seats provided a good view. The staff were very friendly and courteous, and service was prompt and efficient. We will definitely consider a repeat visit.

Fabulous!

Pros: Just about everything. The staff, facilities, food, activities, entertainment, etc. We will definitely return next year.
Cons: The only downside was there was a very small closet, 2 night stands and no dresser. A few shelves in the closet but two were too high to reach.
Location: They offered numerous excursions which we did not do, We spoke to several people that enjoyed them though. The hotel is 20-30 min from airport.
Our 10 day trip to Punta Cana was terrific! The only thing missing was a few more days. The hotel is lovely and well maintained. The facilities were also excellent. The room was on the small side, but tastefully done. The only downside was there was a very small closet and no dresser. The two night stands and a few shelves in the closet were not sufficient for a longer stay. Wonderful beach and pool areas. Never a problem getting chairs and towels at either. The staff was incredible. They run a variety of activities during the day and always make them fun experiences. There was archery, bingo, dance lessons, volleyball, hydro spinning, etc. The rooms are not big but tastefully done. Upon checking in to the room, I asked for more hangers. A stack was delivered within minutes. Maid and butler service was excellent. The maid came in the morning to clean the room and then for turndown service in the evening, which included fresh towels as needed. Our butler, Benjamin was extremely attentive to our needs.The food was plentiful and the quality was good. We had dinner in all of the restaurants. Rating them from best to worst - Surf & Turf, Casa Del Playa, French, Italian and Japanese was last on the list. Between the overhead lights and hot hibachi - It was hotter than the beach. The sushi and tuna tartar were awful. There is always the option of going to the buffet afterward or ordering from the 24 hour room service though. You will never go hungry!

Beautiful hotel with awesome beach

This hotel is not cheap but I believe it was worth every dollar. Unlike other "all-inclusive" hotels the quality and variety of the food at the buffet restaurant (Bella Vista) is so good that you won't need to go to the theme restaurants for food. In fact, the food at the buffet is better than what you can get at least in the Japanese restaurant. The Italian restaurant was better and the best was the "Surf and Turf" restaurant. The staff was always trying to help and make you feel welcomed. We had a couple of issues with our room but they worked around to fix it. Just be clear that the hotel is huge and things don't happen probably as fast as you want, but they end up fixing it. We went to one of the night shows at the theatre and it was very well produced. A good way to spend 1 hr of your night. The beach was so good that we never touched the pools. The pools were awesome and they have plenty of seating areas plus a nice restaurant and pool bar. However, the beach was amazing. The water so clear and the sand super clean that we spent all our water time in the beach. There are activities included in the beach and there are many many activities around all hotel at all times that you never need to leave it. Now, I need to make some comments about some issues and minor details that could be fixed to make the entire experience better: 1.- The drainage of the shower started smelling really bad on the second day. It was fixed after we mentioned it. Also the bedding had a s

Cons: Beach should be solely for Iberostar Grand guests unless walking through. There should be designated smoking areas. The buffet could be improved.
Wonderful vacation, beautiful beach. Beach lounge chairs and huts and also the pool cabanas should be monitored more. Too many people saved spots for prolonged amounts of time and didn't even use them. We were not too happy about getting up very early to get seats while on vacation. I was also under the impression that only Iberostar Grand patrons could sit on the beach for the day. There were three women who came every day with their own towels and did not even stay at this hotel. I mentioned it to the front lobby desk and they said they would send someone to check it out, never happened.

The staff take the experience over the top

I took my wife away for her 40th and this was our 1st adults only/all inclusive. From the moment you step out of the car from the airport, the staff are friendly, welcoming you 'home', and taking every step to make sure you enjoy. Our butlers Rafael and Jose were the best, and our 'Star Friends' Maria and Super Armando made each day and night so much fun! Thx for making this important milestone for us a very memorable one!! We'll be back!!

Fun vacation, not for January!

Hotel was very nice and the staff was somewhat friendly. The facilities were in prestine condition, however I would NOT recommend using their Expedia Blue booking down at the resort. Everytime we booked anything whether it was an excursion, arriving, or departing the hotel to the airport they showed up extremely late. The drivers were very rude for this company and would talk poorly about you right in front of you! 5/5 for the hotel, 1/5 for booking anything.
