Fun vacation, not for January!

Hotel was very nice and the staff was somewhat friendly. The facilities were in prestine condition, however I would NOT recommend using their Expedia Blue booking down at the resort. Everytime we booked anything whether it was an excursion, arriving, or departing the hotel to the airport they showed up extremely late. The drivers were very rude for this company and would talk poorly about you right in front of you! 5/5 for the hotel, 1/5 for booking anything.

Nice Hotel can use some upgrades

My wife and I just returned from our vacation and here are the pros and cons. Cons: Some of the wait staff at the buffets weren't as friendly as other resorts. I was disappointed in the variety and quality of the breakfast and lunch buffets. Pros: Butler staff, check in/check out staff,pool staff, specialty restaurants and entertainment wet all exceptional. The shows were some it the best I've seen in the Caribbean!

Luxury in Paradise

Pros: EVERYTHING excpe the decaff coffee. Considering they have fabulous home grown brands on the island I found this very surprising.
Cons: the decaff coffee.....
Location: location is great, beaches and water sports are wonderful.
We just came back from a glorious family vacation at the Iberostar Grand. Our rooms were all incredible. Our butlers, specially Hernandes, Simon and Alesandro were very professional, polished and discreet. The concierge desk was always available, and Miami was very helpful. Our favorite meal was in the Italian restaurant, the chef truly deserved applause. All meals in the Buffet restaurant were all very good with lots of variety and catered to all tastes. Victor was most attentive and we miss his friendly face already. We recommend this hotel to all. One word of caution. If you want to do a day excursion to Catalina island DO NOT book with Fiestor...their service is awful, brash and LOUD! rather tell the excursion desk you wish to only travel with Pro Excursions...it is a much more professional outfit and more in keeping with the service you have come to expect at the the GRAND! also, my sons did the Zipline/Cave adventure and LOVED it.

Best Hotel Experience EVER!!!!!!

All I can say is that this was the best honeymoon experience EVER. They treat you like royalty here! You will not be disappointed! Treat yourself and go to Iberostar Grand!

Gorgeous resort!

Surpassed all expectations in grandeur and attention to detail. Every aspect of our vacation was above and beyond. The staff was accommodating and friendly. Restaurants were excellent. The resort was architecturally beautiful with lovely landscaping. All amenities including the pool and beach areas were perfect! Amazing staff and entertainment at night was terrific! Our room, view, and location were perfect! Butler Benjamin was very responsive and accommodating.... cute and charming as well!

Our 5 day stay was wonderful. The food was great. The beach is beautiful. It is a nice romantic setting. The staff is very attentive.

Beautiful resort!

Pros: Very comfortable and laid-back atmosphere made us relaxed all the time. The view of the ocean from the pool area is amazing.
Cons: Strong sales pitch as we checked in that made us feel unnecessary pressure. Still not sure what they were selling but it seemed like VIP amenities.
Location: We stayed at the resort the entire time (other than walking to sister resort next door).
This is an amazing place. Our room was clean and we could clearly see the ocean despite only paying for a lesser room. Our butlers (met a total of 4 while we were there) were very nice as were all the employees we met. All the food we ate was very good and they offered an amazing variety. We ate at four of the five onsite restaurants and loved each one for different reasons. Overall a very nice place and we will definitely be back.

Butler Alejandro made the stay perfect!

The service is great, the beach is clean, and safe but the food is ok. Nothing to rave about, the only restaurant that was decently good was the Japanese restaurant.
