Where do I start?

Pros: The location was great, right on the beach, no kids, just peace and relax.
Cons: Yes, a lot. We ordered room service, and it took them 2 hours to bring us cold pizza and a sandwich. Bear in mind there were like 20 people.
Location: There is nothing to do nearby, Just staying there and enjoying the beach. Views are beautiful, beach clean. They maintain it.
We paid a lot of money for this resort...nevertheless, it wasnt worth the money. Where do I start? When we first got there, there was basically no service. One guy was a waiter, a bartneder, a tower delivery person. He was basically running the resort. Nothing against him, just the management. When we entered the room, it was really nice. The pool was dirty, so I had to call to clean it. The sink was broken. Well, when I called nobody answered so we had to walk to the reception desk and ask for them to fix the sink in the bathroom...Pool was cleaned, sink never fixed. I probably call the reception desk about 4-5 times asking for different things, nobody ever answered. Mainly about the sink. We were there for 10 nights. The hotel advertises having three restaurants and two bars, there were never open. The same one restaurant was open, although the menu changed occasionally. I have to say the food was delicious. Within 5 days, they hired more staff and opened one more restaurant. However, the chairs was smelling of mold that it was unbearable to sit on them. There was one night when we had to serve our serves wine, one of other customers litteraly went to the stellar to get wines and she started pouring wine for other people...because the service was so awful. Just not enough people. Forget about the drinks by the pool, nobody was there for the half of our trip. It took hour-hour/forty five to wait for your meal at dinner time.

LGBT-Friendly Paradise, Friendly, QUIET!

Pros: Spacious suite, romantic, quiet, super friendly, respectful staff, nice amenities, away from everything, adults-only, our own plunge pool!
Cons: A few suggestions: faster room service, someone to answer the phone at both the desk and at room service (we called many times with no answer).
Location: Fairly isolated. If you plan to leave the resort, rent a car or plan to spend money on taxis. We left only once to go to the Hard Rock Casino.
My wife and I are busy Washingtonians who needed a private oasis away from everything. Le Sivory fit the bill. From the moment we arrived, we were treated respectfully and kindly. The staff was so friendly and accommodating....they immediately felt like family. Our favorites were Hairo, Flor, Juba, Juan and massage therapist, Lourdes. Our ocean-front luxury junior suite (room 11) provided convenient access to the almost-empty gorgeous pool (we were there in July). We would return in a heartbeat....our non-stop flight from D.C. made it in three and a half hours! The food was pretty good, and well worth the money.

Staff was accommodating and friendly. Very welcoming and heartfelt! Food quality was a little disappointing but fresh and hot. Thank you all for making us feel safe inside the resort.

Little slice of heaven

The hotel is remote, but this adds to the charm and quiet. EXCELLENT service by the staff, and food was exceptional. Private beach for each building, and grounds are kept pristine. It was so peaceful, and we enjoyed our stay immensely. I would stay here again in a minute, and recommend to anyone wanting something for R&R. The road to the hotel winds past many other hotel entrances, which can be a little hectic with traffic at times. However, it was worth the drive. Much better than staying in Bavaro.

Super quiet, perfect for a total escape

Pros: Quiet location, few guests, awesome beach
Cons: Meals are pricey and portions are small. Staff sometimes forgets about what you have asked them.
Location: 20 minute drive to "civilization"
There is a road sign on the way to the hotel that lists others on the way, but not this one. This is really all the summary you need. It is hidden, quiet and right on a great beach. If you like to be close to the action, stay away. Otherwise, you will have an awesome time!

Tranquil hotel on beach

Le Sivory is a secluded boutique hotel at the end of the road. Peaceful, with a lovely staff. Just don't go during rainy season, the rooms need new roofs & electric, we had some issues. Had to move rooms twice. Staff was great in accommodating us! New owner needs to invest in structure. however, larger hotels had more issues. Would we go back? Yes, after remodel.

Get Away

If your looking to really get away and have nothing but a room ,pool and walk distance to the beach these Is your hotel. Its has no entertainment such as clubs or actual activities other than pool and beach. Is in a remote location so there's nothing near by or within walking distance, taxi and car trips are expensive and charged in dollars be aware . Also make sure that you are aware these hotel is not a resort and will charge anywhere from $120/$200 dollars a day extra per person for food/drinks. Do your reaserch and be sure not to get over charged once arrived.

Great place to stay for a quiet beach vacation. 18+ requirement contributed to this and is definitely a strong selling point. Other strengths include overall layout of the facility, beach, and view. Rooms are well proportioned and relatively small size vs other resorts is a plus. Property condition and food were Ok. While not run down by any means, the physical condition of the property could have used a refresh. This ranges from linens, cushions, lighting, etc. Just a little update. I think this was underway as it is recently under new ownership/management (Port Blue). With respect to food, I think 3 different restaurants is a lot to do each well. I think they should consider consolidating to 2 with one focusing on a Domicinan influenced / fresh fish menu. The other restaurant could be more casual. Staff were wonderful and generally accommodating - B+. There were just a couple of areas of improvement needed. Overall we had a wonderful stay and may go again for a nice, quiet, warm, beach getaway.
