3rd time at the property. First time in the amber blue adults only part. What a difference. Was a great experience AGAIN. I suggest this resort to everyone. Property is huge. 1 week is a perfect stay.

Not complaining. I'm just different

Room was very nice but the air conditioning was not strong enough for the room. 3 floors and no elevator. So it's 100 degrees and the you need to climb 3 floors. No one really spoke good English. The maid staff worked around the clock. Even up until 9:00pm. Overall trip was Ok. I don't think I'll go back.

Pros: We loved it all.
Cons: Everyone is super nice, the only thing I would fix is that many of the staff don't always know the services that are offered or available.
Location: The location is fabulous and the music is great at the village. Music outside needs organization, sometimes we waited two or more hours to start.
We had a Junior Suite that came with a butler. Everyone was super nice. Our room was right next to the pool and beach. The food at the buffet was great and lots of varieties. The Ola restaurant next to the beach was not that great. The food was not as great as the one at the buffet on the reception area of the Amber Blue. You don't even have to go to the restaurants where you need a reservation in advance to eat there. Everyone is super nice, the only thing I would fix is that lots of the staff don't always know the services that are offered or where to get certain things that you can find in the facilities. If they gave the entire staff workshops, everyone would know the same information.

My experience at Bahia Principe Ambar Blue was excellent. The staff was extremely kind and made you feel welcomed. There were several of the staff members like JeanCarlos aka Muhammad Ali♡, Carlos, and "Lucy" who had long curly hair, all from the amination team were wonderful. Francisco and Leonaldo excellent bartenders at the main lobby were on point with their service and quality of drinks. Richard a bartender on the beach also stood out with his service and kindness. Nelson a staff member on the beach was also very kind and helpful to us. We had an amazing experience and we plan to be back. Caroline and Andres

Hotel Comfort and Health

Pros: Hotel is close to the beach. There were enough chairs and lounges for all guests.
Cons: Designate areas for smokers Use bottled water for ice. It's causing diarrhea for some guests.
Entertainments were not done according to schedule. It would be nice to have designated spots for smokers. Coffee needs creamer if possible. Everyone in my party had problem with diarrhea more than likely from the ice. Regular ice was used to chill water and for some frozen drinks. Have to do something with flies in some restaurants like Oriental Takara

Very unhappy about transportation from the resort to the airport.We paid for both way and on the way back they did not show up.We had to pay extra money , 40 dollars for taxi.This is the money I want them back . Please resolve this problem .Thank you Stefan.

The Ambar Blue was underwhelming. The beach was beautiful, no question. The wait staff bringing drinks on the beach was lovely. The food was repetitive and mediocre, at best. My hubs got food poisoning. The staff were hit or miss... Some really great, most were just putting their time in and doing the bare minimum. The entire resort is just too large and not well managed. For the amount of staff they have, it should have been a much better experience if everyone was giving 100%.

Great overall facilities

Pros: facilities
Cons: staff service, room cleaning and air conditioning.
Hotel facilities were great. Lot of things to do, when using the other nearby hotel areas (ambar gree, esmeralda, punta cana, etc). Food was good, but I recommend the Don Pablo restaurant, the food was fantastic. The wifi works great at most of the hotel areas. However, the service was not good in general. Pool and the main buffet restaurant staff cared too little about their guest. No attention to details, the room's tv never worked!!, even though after many front desk calls.... the rooms need upgrade.
