We love the resort and the staff . you can tell that the staff loves there job. one of our only complaints are trying to get a beach chair or a bali bed. People would get up before 7am and go and reserve one and do not come back and use them for hours or not at all at times . I think the staff should go around and if they see no one there after an hour and they are only using there towels to reserve they need to pick them up so other people can use them.

My wife & I came down for our Honeymoon and we loved it! The resort was amazing, beautiful, peaceful, & relaxing. All of the staff and workers were friendly and really paid attention to detail to make sure you enjoyed your stay. Special thank you to Karin our butler! He made sure that we had everything we needed to ensure we had a good stay! The most helpful part was him sending us the daily schedules so we knew what was going on around the resort! Spotlight on some workers that gave us great service; Sofia and Rosita worked at the central bar down the main staircase and they were great! Very personable and also make you feel like you are at home away from home. Gary and Katty worked at the upstairs bar and they provided us with good drinks as well funny moments! Lastly most memorable meals came from See & Sea with Carlos and Janett! They always took care of us! Overall I would recommend coming to this resort! We will definitely visit again

The resort was probably a 4 stair the food was a 3 at best the service was not very good 2 stars some of the staff were excellent but for the most part not very helpful and some didn’t even want to help you the road leading into the resort was an uninviting dirt road the transfer from airport was 5 star but we opted for the private service cane with a very high cost if you speak no Spanish you could be very frustrated with there lack of English or even trying to communicate with you the resort is very large consisting of 43 resorts in one very confusing at first the lighting at night on the endless walkways very poorly lite . The butler service was a joke are butler was one existent we would get morning schedule of daily events but was not helpful at all with any other services the last day he thank us and hoped we had a great stay he wanted to make sure he got his gratuity which he did not I’m in the hospitality industry and I know how to tip and always over tip which I did and was happy to do so when you do you get better service which for me was not a problem at all -“” staff was very appreciative of Gratuities we did not leave the resort cause years ago I was in Porto Plata and went downtown and had to take a hotel staff member with me for security so I just stayed at resort so I can’t really say how it was outside the resort but what I saw n the way to the resort I thought it was better to stay in the resort .

Excellent stay. The staff was superb, especially our butler, Diego, and the girls at the Plaza Bar (Ann Maria, Yolima, Nilka, etc...) Food is fine; what you would expect from a buffet. Beach was well kept. Service = 5 stars.

The staff and property are excellent. Very clean with very friendly staff. While there the staff made sure we were attended to without feeling overbearing. Things to know, bathroom has very little privacy which we don’t mind but if you are shy you might find yourself using the lobby bathroom which is very clean as well. Beyond that I would definitely recommend this place. Be sure to make a reservation for the sushi restaurant which was our favorite place to eat during the trip. We are definitely planning on returning to this resort in the future.

We had a great time ! Santos did amazing with the activities. Michael was the best bartender at the swim up. Overall clean , fun and food was good! rooms are huge could be a little cleaner but would deff stay again!!!

The rooms at this property was outdated. They made the outside look nice every day when we went to go eat at one of the restaurants there were roaches and we complained about the roaches. They rectify the situation only with a spa day. We were there for six nights and left extremely hungry My spouse had food poisoning and was sick for three days. Roaches every day on bread / pasta / cakes.

I loved the swim up room. Staff were amazingly friendly. Housekeeping is top notch. The food was delicious. The shows were exciting. I participated in all the pool activities. Awesome!

I wasn't given the VIP as a brought the packet. I request extra towels, was bot provided, they left the pillow without pillow cases. I request some balloons for my anniversary, wasn't there either, and I saw another rooms with ballons in the door. The rooms needs to be clean they seems dirty and old for a 5 start hotel, at least the 3 rooms we stayed.

It is a run of the mill resort. I wouldn't recommend paying for the Club level. I did and it was a waste of money. My"butler" was around to walk me to the room then nothing. Even when I contacted him via text -as he directed me-and he was nowhere to be found? The Club room service was not 24-hrs. Getting a reservation is impossible before 9:30 pm at any restaurant. The upset started when they made a significant change to my reservation at the request of another guest that was not on my reservation. This resulted in a down grade of my reservation to the general level... After I paid for Club level. Also, be very careful when walking anywhere at this property. They oil the floors! I get that this helps control tracking of sand, but at least put up signs!!! I kept sliding and almost falling multiple times. The cleaning staff were ok but once again since I wasn't in the Club buildings, service was average and the mini bar and snacks were not replenished without a request and not done fully. The makeup mirror was falling off the wall as was the hair dryer. The selection of pillows (6 for a king sized bed) were good. The food was a mix of good and not good. Nothing opens before 7am and most things open at 8 am and close by 8pm, so no good coffee before 7am. Nothing special here. Rather disappointing to be honest considering what I paid.

Wonderful staff, beautiful resort despite being older, food was not great (as most resorts) but we didn’t starve. We would go back just for the service of the staff, they were the best. To mention a few. Joel, Ismael, William and Ronny, all at the Elegance Club pool. We had a wonderful week.

My husband and I had a wonderful trip! Beautiful beach and pool! Friendly staff, especially Fennis the bartender. She was a joy to see everyday! Food was very good with something for everyone.

Beautiful resort. We enjoyed all the amenities offered. The wide selection of food. from buffet to Al la cart. The staff was A1 professional,, courteous,, helpful and always with a smile. We enjoyed the large selection of pools that are so well maintained. Enjoyed nice casino, nightly entertainment ,, music, and theaters. Check in was fast and easy. Our concierge continuously checked up on us daily.. maintance came immediately for something that need to be fixed in our room. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. We decided to come back soon.

Our room never cooled off and then we had water leaking from the ceiling due to a broken air conditioner. Our only issue was with our Expedia person at the hotel. He was to WhatsApp us about a pick up time. He didn’t so I tried to contact him the afternoon before we left. At 11:52 pm he texted and told us our pick up time was 7:30 am for a 3:05 pm flight? We, of course, were sleeping until we were awakened by the hotel informing us our ride was there. It was then that I saw he texted me. I said it couldn’t be right he said that he would look into it. We rushed through packing and left our room. When got to the front desk, they also agreed with me that he had the wrong time. We called Oscar and all he said was that he was waiting for operations to get back to him. I went to wait for him to figure out transfers We were given a new time but we were not given the type of transfer that we paid for. Very disappointed with the Expedia rep at the hotel. We love the beaches the sand and how everyone is so nice.
