Hotel close to beach, i wasnt too satisfied with checkin and service they are like 3.5 its ok elegance is alittle too crowded maybe next time if anything stay at majestic mirage. The food is ok as well. Hibachi was the best.

Nice hotel in a beautiful location

Pros: Restaurants were excellent. Lots of pools and bars to keep you cool and refreshed.
Cons: Elegance Club is starting to show it's age. Could use an update.
Location: Adventure Boogies was a fun excursion as well as the Saona Island day trip.
Hotel was gorgeous with the staff constantly keeping the lobby and walkways tidy. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Pros: Everything was perfect. The workers, the food, the beach and all of the other services.
Cons: What I would see that needs improvement is seeing more of the Dominican culture. The food at the restaurants did not have much Dominican food
I reserved a room in the Elegance side. Everything was absolutely amazing I do not have any complaints. 2 days into our stay we received a letter stating that we were able to upgraded to the Mirage. We accepted and that was even more amazing. Everything about Majestic was amazing. There is something for everyone in the family to enjoy. The only downfall is that there is not much Dominican food at the resort. It would have been better if more of the Dominican culture was displayed.

Pros: Nice grounds. Ocean water is clear. Multiple pools, very inviting with Bali beds. Varied food with a lot of fish types.
Cons: Hardware is old and needs replacement. Safe in the room (two worked and two did not). Air conditioning management console was broken in one room.
Quite a difference from previous experience in PC. This is a wonderful hotel where a lot of weddings parties are held. The first impression (especially if you choose the VIP treatment) is very pleasant. A lot of attention to details. The grounds are very well maintained. Plenty of activities for everybody: beach entertainment, pool bar activities, and your evening fun with the traditional Caribbean flavor. The beach is gorgeous and the sea weeds are not an overwhelming problem as it was for other locations. I did not rate this a 5 star because there would be a few parts that could see some improvement. Due to the age of the hotel, some hardware needs replacement. Would recommend to avoid the "French" theme restaurant. Food is sub-par and the "goat cheese brick" is a big disappointment.

Great place...

Pros: Very well maintained, the staff is friendly and helpful
Cons: The food is not consistently great. Good, yes, but definitely was a lowlight.
Location: We did the Dolphin Explorer catamaran cruise and loved it! Swam with seals, stingrays and shark, drank for a couple hours in the sun and natural pool.
My wife and I just spent our honeymoon at the Majestic Elegance in Punta Cana. We had a wonderful time. We were roomed in the Elegance Club area, and felt like the amenities were worth the additional cost. private dining for breakfast and lunch, and less crowded pool and beach areas were welcomed by us. That said, when we did use the "public" beach and buffet meals, it was never overly crowded. If I can offer one point of improvement it would be in the quality of meals. We really enjoyed the hibachi restaurant, and wished we could've hit it twice. The performance by the cook was fantastic, one of the best we've seen (we love hibachi!), and the food was terrific. The steakhouse was good, but we had real problems getting the order correct there. We cancelled our reservation at limited gourmand because we didn't feel like dressing up ( shoes and pants). We were just too comfortable in our beach clothes. The buffet was consistently good, with things you remembered were good, and slightly different flavor each day. We found the staff to be very helpful, accommodating and friendly. The beaches are lovely, the bar service is prompt and the Bali beds are wonderful to lay on.

Great week at majestic elegance!

The elegance was great very nice . We loved our butler Alfonzo he made our week very speciall. He always had a smile on his face and did many surprises for us like rose pedals, bubble baths , special gifts etc..the pool was great and the beach . The food was much better off the menu and at night but could always find something to eat. we did the elegance club upgrade it is well worth it

It was a wonderful getaway. Everything was amazing. Antonio was the best! I'm recommending this resort to all my family and friends. It was my first time visiting DR and I can't wait to return. When I return I will be staying at the Majestic Elegance. Loved it!!

Nice hotel, close to the beach, wonderful staff

I would give this hotel 4 stars. The grounds are beautiful, clean and the staff is very nice. The food was so/so but they do have food out almost all the time which is nice. The American buffet restaurant was my fave but the Italian one was good too. Service at the steak house and the dinner time beach restaurant were a bit slow however. The only AC is really in the rooms, which is tough at times because it's extremely hot and humid. I would say that's the biggest downside of this resort. I wish the big lobby bar area and some of the common areas were cooler, temperature wise. The beds and bedding could be better and a more private bathroom/shower area in the rooms would be nice for friends sharing rooms. But the beach and pool areas were wonderful and the shows were great too!!! That's what really matters. The wait staff that come up to you on the beach and at the pool were fabulous! It's lively up until about 11:30pm. So it's not really a big "party" resort but more of a family and couples feel. I feel like most people went back to their rooms by midnight. I was happy with this but I know some people like to party hard/late on vacation. This isn't really that kind of resort. I was very happy overall with my experience! (Also, make sure you bring cash such as smaller bills to tip people).
