Everything is exelent.. But can be better food..

Resort is exelent.. Nice polite staff. Very clean. For food I give 4 point out of 5..Mexican food was not good at all.

Nice resort with friendly staff. Good selection for food. The room wasn't as comfortable as hoped, but I wasn't in it much so it was sufficient.

Good (not great) experience/value for the price

Pros: Nice beach, good variety of restaurants, rooms are modern.
Cons: The staff isn't very proactive and looking for opportunities to serve guests. There needs to be more shade options around the beach/pool. Poor wifi.
Nice beach and pools with plenty of seating. The food was fine, but the service was lacking throughout the trip. I'm not sure if they are short-staffed, but the staff was never able to anticipate the needs of the guests. Also, housekeeping and room service were spotty. There were times you would receive what was requested (extra towels, etc), but other times the request was completely ignored. We have had far better experiences at multiple resorts in Cancun and will likely vacation there in the future.

The staff was nice but not a 4 star hotel like Expedia rated it. This hotel should not be rated a 4 star hotel. The room smelled, telephone didn't work, bathroom exhaust fan was very loud, air conditioning unit was also loud and room had roaches. Rooms are old and outdated. The hotel should be rated no more than a 2 and a half star.

Worst Vacation Experience

Pros: NOTHING aside from the entertainment group and the cleaning lady
Cons: Room service, customer service
I live in NYC and I visit my country for vacation 2/3 times a year and on these trips alongside with my parents we usually go to Punta Cana to enjoy the sun and water, but in this particular event for my birthday, I was not only disappointed but I was consistently finding myself with a million and one inconveniences. From poor customer service to a lack of attention in details on our trip, to even poor room service. Toilets were leaking on a daily basis and attention to fix it was just NOT met. To get simple accommodations for my parents whom are elder, the simple gesture of bring coffee and tea to the room seem to be a hassle and too much to ask from them. I have worked customer service for 12 years and I know that's not the way you treat your clients. It's a business that if you don't treat your guest the right way they simply won't come back. And that's the case here, it's my first and last time attending this hotel. Our 3rd time staying at Ocean Blue!

This is our 3rd time staying @ Ocean Blue in Punta Cana. We LOVE the entertainment staff at this resort! Rooms are always clean. The resort is a good size, not too big and not too small. Food is good, I recommend the Italian and Japanese restaurant.

hotel close the beach

Nice beach/pool

Pros: Pool was large. Beach nice.
Cons: Rooms had deficiencies that probably went from client to client.
Location: Pretty well stuck on resort . Lots of activities for extra cost.
Too noisy for me . Pool activities and music too loud. Food was good, some waits for the specialty restaurants. Service at bars a bit slow. Overall pretty good.

Pros: STAFF!!!!!!!
Cons: The Service in Route 66 and the food - were both horrible
Location: no idea - did not leave the resort
The staff were the best - always friendly and happy to assist.ready to dance on a moments notice! huge smiles and made the atmosphere fun! our room was ok - nothing spectacular - we stayed in building 5 - which was a great location - mid way to most things. little bit if a smell in the room - and the day that they fumigated - wasn't good for me - very sensitive to smells - caused me a headache - beach was good - all tho hard to find chairs someday's- beach restaurant was the best view :) Japanese meal was very good! staff once again were entertaining and made our birthday experience a good night! we traveled with a group of 14 and had a meal together here - route 66 restaruant was the worst - avoid it - slow service and cold undercooked burgers - steak house / good food - buffets were good choices as was Mike's coffee shop for morning and late night Baileys - overall great time !
