Nice hotel at the beach

Well design, all amenities at the center, nice and are I clean beach, big pools and plenty of activities, tennis courts, bicycle tour, kids friendly activities including sports complex- strike (bowling, ping pong, pool table, video games), every night live entertainment at the theater, food was excellent and unbelievable Mike's coffee...

beach disappointing

Pros: good for families with kids
Cons: too noisy ALL the time
Location: stayed in resort
had to get up at 5 am to book shade; sand bags really were an eyesore

We enjoyed our stay. The hotel offered exactly what we needed, sun, food, drinks and relaxation. The employees were amazing and more than accommodating.

The hotel smell of fungus. Too much to walk and poor bell service (about inside transportation) too far rooms about lobby distance. Finally we loose the transportation that we pay previous because they don't coordinate correctly. Otherwise the food area was clean

Not worth your money

When we arrived to the hotel, we entered the room and it was nicer than we expected. We changed and went to go have food at the villa marina buffet restaurant and came to the conclusion that everything we tried was gross. But it was the only restaurant open during the day all the others opened at 6, so we all decided it was better to survive off snacks that we bought than to eat at the only restaurant open. The drinks are all watered out, even if they don't put alcohol in them!! The staff is super rude, and anything you asked them as a favor they would sass you and walk away. We came back home, in shock of how rude the Dominican staff were and how gross the hotel was. We will not be returning and I do not recommend staying there unless you only need a place to sleep and won't be at the hotel during the day.

Nice hotel but not a 4 star hotel.

Towels were scarce. Room had leaks. Service was slow. My 5 year old daughter got sick and staff was not helpful. They wanted to charge me for room service for food for my daughter who couldn't leave the room. The grounds were beautiful but the staff needs a training course on how to be helpful for guests in a bad situation.

Nice hotel and close to the beach.

We went with another couple to this resort for our Spring break. It was a great hotel for the price. There were 2 large pools, and the entertainment staff had a lot of energy. The nightly shows were great. The 6 different restaurants had pretty good food. But, expect a wait for dinner. We ate at the buffet in the morning and lunch at the beach buffet restaurant view. Hints: Get up early , 6am if you want a umbrella or any of the covered area on the beach. The cappuccinos are really good at Mike's cafe and the lobby. Bring many dollar bills to tip...there is a strip of market shops to the left on the beach...but they are very pushy. At the hotel they have market vendors come a few times we were there to sell their items. They are also very pushy. Make sure your dicker with them.

Pros: The pools were awesome. The beachfront was awesome.
Cons: See above. This resort overall is in severe disrepair with a staff that is deeply apathetic.
The resort façade was beautiful, but the inner workings of the resort are in severe disrepair. The grounds are overgrown. Many areas of the resort need upgrades and repair. The room we stayed in was dirty on check in, lacked basic amenities: toilet paper, towels, air conditioning, and had a foul odor. The staff did not appear to care about helping to resolve any of these issues.

Nice hotel on the beach

We had a great time. Staff was excellent and really tried to engage everyone into daily activities. The spa and my massage were amazing.
