Very enjoyable, beautiful resort. The food and drinks were amazing. The staff, everyone of them were wonderful, polite and attentive.

Would never recommend this to anyone

Pros: the beach and steakhouse
Cons: they should have waiters ask people what they want to drink at the beach not just around the pool only. The rooms need major updating
Location: location is nice and privet nothing much nearby
We like to travel a lot and this was one of the worst hotels I've stayed at. We checked in and the room smelled so bad the bathroom had mold growing on the bathtub and everything was routing and shower door was about to fall off any min and when you take a shower all the water goes into the middle of the bathroom and no rains so it just stays there. We asked to be moved within the first hr they showed me a room right next door and it also smelled so bad so then they showed me a room right above also smelled. We had booked an ocean view and i can barley see it maybe like 10% i can see it but barley. The said only room that say ocean front are true ocean view but when you book ocean view it can mean you hardly can peak at a view. I told them i was sick of them showing me these old nasty rooms like how is this a 5 star hotel when it looks like a 2 star motel instead. They told me next day when people check out they will show me another room so we came back next day so then they took us to another room it was a little more updated and not as smelly but we had 0% ocean view in the new room we had a parking lot view but thats all they had to offer so we moved but i was still mad. The buffet was the smallest i have ever seen out of every hotel I've even been to. At night you only have 4 restaurant to choose from and only 2 were good that was steakhouse had the best waiter santo and sushi was not bad either. You never get asked for a drink at the beach only by the pool which was dumb

Relaxing Vacation

Overall, we had a great stay! We felt welcome from the moment we arrived. Staff were friendly and the service was exceptional. The food was good. The beach grill, Italian restaurant, and steak restaurant were our favorites. The drinks were plentiful! Our room was nice, but some small details were overlooked (cover over one of the fuse boxes was missing, burnt out light bulb in the bathroom, no drain plug in the tub). It rained the majority of the time we visited, so having the thatch covered cabanas on the beach were fantastic! We spent many dry hours there reading and resting.

Great Experience and wonderful vacation

Pros: Property was beautiful and the hotel room was great! Food was excellent! Staff provided a high level of service and very friendly!
Cons: Cannot think of anything
Location: Location was great - not too far from airport but once you got on property it was beautiful!
Hotel was excellent. The staff was very friendly and always asking if we needed anything. The food was excellent - Thank you Chef Santos. Great vacation - would highly recommend!

Tropical Paradise

Pros: The property is beautiful! The pools, beach, restaurant, spa and walking trails are well maintained and the landscaping is outstanding. One of the most beautiful all inclusive resorts I've seen. we felt like part of the family while we were there and the staff went above and beyond to make our time truly memorable.
Cons: Check in and check out were a bit slow. Also it would have been nice to have a few more snack shops on the premises for mid day breaks.
Location: Less than 20 mins from the airport which made it convenient to reach after a long day. But we didn't venture off the property much (didn't need to).

Over rated.

Location: Didn't leave the resort.
The staffs are not organized. The food is average ( don't like buffets in general)

This is my second visit to Sanctuary Cap Cana. I love the overall feel of this resort. Great staff. great food.Ill be back in 11 months

Bad food / tasteless Employees from restaurants were not polite, expecially at Blue marlin AND The steakhouse. Confortable rooms Beach Just good

awesome place to stay

Location: There are several excursions available as well as shuttles to the mall for shopping
this was our 4th trip to the DR and this was by far the best place we have stayed at. The atmosphere was relaxed and tranquil. The staff are super, especially Emilo our butler though he told us we didn't give him enough to do. Everyone of the staff was very attentive and we wanted for nothing. The recreation team kept you entertained, we really enjoyed watching the daily water aerobics and water Zumba classes. Since this is an adult only resort everyone there were interested in having fun not seeing how much alcohol they could consume. Their customer service was excellent, we had booked a swim out suite but due to renovation work in the room above us our bathroom had a water leak in the ceiling so we were moved to a much larger room with an ocean view. I highly recommend this resort.

Nice beach/pools but overall it's an ok resort.

Pros: The beach is really nice its only for guests staying at Sancturary. The pools are really nice. If your looking for something intimate and laid back this is a good spot.
Cons: I booked this for our honeymoon and when I got there with my wife our room was not ready. I gave instructions to Deivi Mercedes to have rose petals in our room and that was not done. When we got to our room the toilet had black ring near the water in the bowl and tub had orange stains on it. We called the concierge and stated we were really unhappy with the presentation of the room specifically the bathroom. We were moved to another room that had the same stains on the toilet. Not sure if there cleaning staff does not ensure these bathroom are presentable for guest but it was gross to look at. We then were moved to another room that finally did not have the same issue. Room service also takes really long to get to the room about 1hour to 1hr and 30 mins.
Location: Scape Park is nearby where you can horseback ride, zip line, and go cave diving.
