Staff was wonderful, they are accommodating to your every need and make the vacationers extremely comfortable. The resort grounds are beautiful and the environment is relaxing. i has happy to find out that all inclusive meant all inclusive, there were no hidden fees. I would definitely go back!

5 nights at Cap Cana

Pros: Clean rooms Good food Access to pools Clean pools Small enough that you didn't feel part of an all inclusive
Cons: The zero bill at every meal was frustrating...they should include a resort fee or tip as optional at the end
Location: Poor location as the beach is not easily swim able
We spent 5 days as a quick couple getaway. Food was above average and rooms were clean and well maintained. The pools were excellent and the size of the resort was enjoyable.

Very relaxing

Cons: More umbrellas near the pool.
Location: Location was close to airport.
Everything from check in to check out was calm and personal. Didn't feel too busy or crowded. No need for reservations at restaurants. The food was very good - plenty of options for vegetarians. Great variety of entertainment options at resort including music and yoga/exercise class. Staff was friendly. Not a place for swimming in the ocean, if that is what you are looking for. But they did a good job keeping the beach clean from seaweed.

Great food, excellent service & perfect weather

Hotel and restaurant staff were fantastic. Friendly and hospitable, they provide tremendous service. We were impressed with the beautiful grounds of the hotel. The room (we stayed in a Jr Suite with ocean view) was comfortable, nice patio, stocked & cleaned every day. The pools were great, the beach setting was nice, but the swim area was disappointing. However, the public beach is just outside the hotel grounds ( 5 minute walk from the farthest point of the hotel) & was gorgeous. Plenty of room to walk, swim & play. There is an adventure service called Scape Park that was so much fun & very professionally run, as well. Overall, great experience & would highly recommend.

Amazing time !!! Amazing Place!!!

Pros: Everything was excellent!!!
Cons: Free Internet in Rooms!!! and for my wife and myself, we would love more spanish/latin food. the Friday Night Dominican Night was Awesome.
Location: Location was perfect
The staff at the Sanctuary were all great to be around. They made sure that all our needs were always taken cared for. Starting with the check in all the way to bell services, bar attendants and restaurants. Everything was excellent for us. Jose Ferrand exceed all of our expectations by far. Meralis Polonco and all her Housing Keeping staff were amazing. They always made sure we were comfortable and that the our suite was always well cleaned. All the Staff around the Sanctuary were extremely friendly and curtious. David at the SteakHouse makes the Best Hawaii Martini in the world. The Paella from the Blue Marlin was very fresh and very tasteful. Thank You Jose for making our stay extra special and Thank You for taking care of my wife's surprise Birthday Dinner on the beach. She loved everything. Also Thank You for the great Service you provided us Meralis!!!

Great vacation!!

Pros: staff very friendly, food very good, great beaches, rooms are lovely
Cons: bathroom floor was cleaned but heavily stained by use. also room service needs improvement. had to ask twice for coffee for the in room machine
Location: stayed within the resort
This is our second visit to Sanctuary Cap Cana and this visit was just as nice as when we were here the same time last year. Our room was a one bedroom villa, and it was lovely with large bathroom and a private deck with a garden overlooking the beach/ocean. Bathroom floor was clean but heavily stained by use over time. Restaurants were great, especially the Blue Marlin. Wait staff was very friendly, especially Kelvin, and Patricio. Room service needs a little improvement as we had to ask twice for coffee capsules for the in room coffee machine. The grounds are beautiful as are the views. All in all, it was a great vacation and we hope to return again to the Sanctuary next year!

Beautiful Hotel

Beautiful Hotel! My room was located at the castle, this area was quiet, beautiful and elegant! The staff was great.

Fue mi eug da visita al hotel. Pleasing place with nice gardens

Pros: Architecture of the buildings , fabulous gardens , food.
Cons: Management and room condition/service.
Location: Located about 15 min to airport on nice property. Boat , golf and excursions on island.
Nice, quiet resort. Great food, friendly people. Not the best beach. Staying in was fun, condition and comfort of the rooms could be way better, no way is 5 stars. Cleaning and maintenance of rooms needs to be quiet improved. If you book top rated room , then room and service should meet expectation. Our experience was not as bad , but in comparison to some other 5 star places we stayed before does not come even close.

Staff overworked and unhappy

Location: There wasn't a lot to do on the resort. We went on an excursion for a day, but the brochures weren't overly accurate with what we did.
My fiancee and I visited Sanctuary cap Cana, and for all intensive purposes enjoyed our stay as it was at a beach and we were on vacation. Overall though we found the majority of the staff to be unfriendly, not very helpful and not willing to go the extra mile to ensure our stay was a good one. When we first arrived, we were pressed pretty hard to upgrade to a larger suite, which would have cost us an additional 25% of our overall spend for the trip. No one was staying at the hotel at the time, and after an hour of discussion (keep in mind we were flying from DC, so we had been on a plane for 5 hrs, plus 2 hours going through customs, etc) around upgrading us, decided to stay with our originally booked room. From that point the staff seem disinterested in helping us out, other than Henry, who was great. The food was great, but we were definitely nickel and dimed on ordering anything extra. At one point my fiancee went to get an extra sandwich and were told we couldn't order it in a very unfriendly way. As I mentioned above, the resort is beautiful, and I can imagine is even better during a peak time when there is a robust staff. I think the timing of our visit hurt a bit, but definitely was not overly impressed with how we were treated.
