Bed bug larva on the headboard!

We got one of the swim up suites with a butler thinking we wanted to be pampered. After the first night sleeping on a HORRIBLE bed, we looked at the mattress and it was brown, no telling how old it was. Our whole body hurt! The only time we got sleep was on the beach chairs laying in the pool. Being a 5 star hotel this was completely unacceptable as we didn't get any sleep the five nights we were there. The bathroom door was coming off its hinges therefore not being able to enter or exit without picking the heavy glass up each time. Our refrigerator was barely refilled each day and we had NO butler which is what we had paid for. Staying at the royal suites, we were treated second rate. We both got a rash from who knows as we found the first stages of bed bugs, larva was hatching on the headboard the last evening we were there. We paid for a round trip pick up service through Blue when getting the package on Expedia and they had a problem picking us up to take us back to the airport. Our flight had changed and the first van wouldn't take us so we had to wait even longer. The last night we ate at the restaurant just inclusive to us and had lobster. It tasted a little off so I didn't eat all of it. The next morning I found that I had food poisoning. It was the worst day traveling home with nausea, watery diarrhea and stomach cramping. There was no way I was going to the doctor in the DR. We will never go back! What a waste of money

Furthermore, if you need something you can call them to their extensions. On the other hand, we should apologize for the inconveniences in you room, It's a shame we did not have any information about the matress during your stay because it could have been fixed. In addition, We would like to inform you, that the Palladium Hotel Group is part of an international program, which monitors all our standards in food handling, health and safety. We work with a reputed international company based in UK and our complex applies the highest international standards. This program includes periodical audits concerning health & safety issues. Hotel and beach is exactly what we were looking

Pros: Price and facility
Cons: We were told we would have a butler for the room, and to help us with issues or reservations and such. Never seen him.
Location: 20 min from airport.
Food good, plenty of selection, lot of towels, bar tenders friendly. Some of the staff seemed to be waiting for a tip to provide great service (they did provide good service with out the tip). This was my first experience with an all-Inclusive that allowed tips except at the end. My opinion is it is somewhat counter productive. Sort of, tip me and I will work real hard for you. Don't tip me and I will do my job. My preference is a tip as a gratuity given for great service at the end, not I will hold you hostage until you give me a tip, then I kick into great service gear. Anyway it really did not impact the trip, just different.

If you are not staying in these villas, you can call them to their extension and they will help you. Furthermore, we should apologize if you felt that the staff only make the difference with a tip. Nice hotel , room for easy service improvements

Huge property, Royal Area is great, spacious rooms and super clean. Buildings need painting as well as walk ways. Service by butlers superb as well as bar in royal pool by building 57. Upgraded to a swimup a must do! Service in restaunays is deplorable or non existent, food though is good! With exception of the tepanyaki restaurant which was great!

Location: Horseback riding tennis and safari ride
The staff was the greatest tend to your everyday needs

Not a luxury resort

I visited The Royal Suites Turquesa-Palladium in Punta Cana from 5/17-5/22.The check-in process went pretty smoothly, but once checked in, the room was warm, the refrigerator was warm¬ fully stocked & there was no hot water in our room.These issues were responded to in a timely manner. This is considered an adult resort but most activities are located on the family side so you will see children if you choose to participate in certain activities, see shows, or eat at any of the specialized restaurants, except French, which is on the adult side. There was a foam party at the pool on the family side,nevertheless, & while adults were dancing seductively in contests on the pool side, there were children inside the pool watching this as well. While waiting for a drink at the pool bar, a young child squeezed in to take a seat at the pool bar stool as the "twerking" contest was going on. This resort was a little underwhelming in entertainment compared to other resorts that I have stayed. I made do with what they had to offer. The most excitement was during the excursions off of the resort. The food was ok, nothing special but the most flavorful food was at the Hibachi grill. On the last night of our trip we had dinner at the steak house &this experience took my 3 star review of this resort to 1 star. I ordered beef ribs & as I cut into it, I noticed tiny insect legs. It was an extremely large horse fly that was charred with my meat. I have no plans to revisit this resort.

Beautiful resort

This resort was so beautiful and the beach was great. The friendliness of the staff is lackinging in some areas. You can pass by staff members and not hear them say hi. Yet the ones that do talk to you are the ones selling you things. I'm also not sure if I liked the fact that the staff let some crazy drunk girls go topless in the pool area. It wasn't until they started getting sexually out of had that they stopped them. Other then that to us the food was good and the resort was beautiful.

Punta cana private hotel

All staff was very friendly. Room was not ready upon arrival. Food left much to be desired accept Japanese restaurant was great. Too many times bothered with tourist attractions and joining their club.

Nice hotel very close to the beach and pool

This is our second time staying here! Everything is great except the food. We forgot all about the food from our last trip but loved everything else about it! If you can get an early reservation at the restaurants it's not bad.

Nice facilities, ok beach, not so good food

Pros: Rooms were nice and the beach was more private with tons of palm trees and huts, however you get minimal open beach unless you go to other sections.
Cons: The food especially in the buffets needs lots of help. Also the terrible shuttle service needs to be better especially for those staying at the Royal
Location: Didn't travel outside of the resort and I wouldn't travel outside of the resort. The whole street the resort was on looked very sketchy.
I picked this place as it was one of the few highly rated yet somewhat affordable adults only all inclusive resorts. The room was nice (as seen in pics) for the most part although some things could have been kept up better (cleanliness of curtains, couch, chairs, walls, furniture, and refrigerators). There was evidence of dead mosquitos everywhere. The wine cooler was also very loud and obnoxious so just unplug it. In short the facilities are very Caribbean looking. They are one or two level buildings, most resembling large huts, but they were nice especially in the Adults Only section where the alcohol in the lobby bar was also high end unlike in the rest of the 3 hotels within the same resort where all you could really get was Brugal rum and frozen drinks. There was good espresso and coffee however everywhere. The shuttle service is pretty horrible and extremely untimely. Restaurant Food - French 2/5 stars at best, Japanese (Hibachi) 3/5 stars, Indian 3.5/5 stars, Brazilian 3/5 stars. Didn't eat at other restaurants, but wouldn't expect much. Buffet Food - Simply disgusting for the most part. I wouldn't feed the meats /rice to my dog if I had one as everyone smelled drenched in corn oil and gross. I couldn't even get decent eggs. In the Bohio buffet, the chef used the same tongs for all types of meat & fish, raw and cooked. That means you got salmonella and other bacteria on all of your meat. Not to mention the beef was black before it was even cooked!

Americo you're the best

From check in to check out had a great time you can find a complaint in any large resort if that's what your looking for but if what you want is good food fun and laughs nice drinks and the best staff then that's what makes this resort awesome.... to the resort owners you need in the off season to treat your staff to a party on saona island in talking with workers none have ever been there value your staff they are a great team to your company. I'll be back to royal suits been twice now
