Pros: spacious and options between different properties, pools were beautiful and bog. staff was friendly. gift for our anniversary
Cons: food, room cleanliness.
staff was very courteous, made us feel safe and taken care of during hurricane. when ordering over the phone staff should be a little bit more warm and nice to customers. when checked in our room did not have toiletries, most towels were missing and other goodies including slippers. bathroom was dirty, beds were moist including pillows and room smelled like mildew. we had friends stay in other rooms and mentioned the same thing.overall we made the best of it because the weather was beautiful so was the hotel staff was friendly and who can complain about an all inclusive with drinks and food!

Great hosts to international travelers

Posted Aug 4, 2017
Pros: The staff
Cons: The wattage of the lighting in the room. See above.
Location: The resort is right on a beautiful white sand beach. There are lots of pools and several adults only pools. The hotel lobby is a fun gathering spot,
If I could fault anything it would be the lack of high wattage bulbs in the lamps in the room. There were reading lamps and table lamps and a floor lamp so between them all the wattage was powerful enough to enjoy some reading time. My eyes may not be as strong as younger patrons and that could account for my findings. The staff was very kind, helpful and went out of their way to assist us. This was our second trip to the resort and we enjoyed it as much as he first.

Great resort, room, food, and staff.

Posted Jun 29, 2017
Pros: Everything
Cons: A bar at the beach could shorten the time when you order a drink. The waiters have a good walk to walk to to get the drinks,a
Location: We did not go off the resorts although many tourist activities were available.
We visited this resort June 22,2017 for seven days. This resort was everything we expected plus more. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were beautiful and clean. The food was very good and plentiful. The beach was beautiful and provided many tiki huts for shade and lounge chairs. The swim out rooms were great. The larger pools had swim up bars and were not very busy. Room service was quick. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Iwould definitely recommend this place.

Bed bug larva on the headboard!

Posted Jun 2, 2017
We got one of the swim up suites with a butler thinking we wanted to be pampered. After the first night sleeping on a HORRIBLE bed, we looked at the mattress and it was brown, no telling how old it was. Our whole body hurt! The only time we got sleep was on the beach chairs laying in the pool. Being a 5 star hotel this was completely unacceptable as we didn't get any sleep the five nights we were there. The bathroom door was coming off its hinges therefore not being able to enter or exit without picking the heavy glass up each time. Our refrigerator was barely refilled each day and we had NO butler which is what we had paid for. Staying at the royal suites, we were treated second rate. We both got a rash from who knows as we found the first stages of bed bugs, larva was hatching on the headboard the last evening we were there. We paid for a round trip pick up service through Blue when getting the package on Expedia and they had a problem picking us up to take us back to the airport. Our flight had changed and the first van wouldn't take us so we had to wait even longer. The last night we ate at the restaurant just inclusive to us and had lobster. It tasted a little off so I didn't eat all of it. The next morning I found that I had food poisoning. It was the worst day traveling home with nausea, watery diarrhea and stomach cramping. There was no way I was going to the doctor in the DR. We will never go back! What a waste of money

Dear Courtney, First of all, we would like to thank you for taking your time in order to share you experience on Expedia. We regret if the butler service did not live up to your expectations but we have 1 concierge and 1 butler in villas 51, 54, 55 and 58. Furthermore, if you need something you can call them to their extensions. On the other hand, we should apologize for the inconveniences in you room, It's a shame we did not have any information about the matress during your stay because it could have been fixed. In addition, We would like to inform you, that the Palladium Hotel Group is part of an international program, which monitors all our standards in food handling, health and safety. We work with a reputed international company based in UK and our complex applies the highest international standards. This program includes periodical audits concerning health & safety issues. We hope you can visit us again in order to revert the bad impression of you last stay and live a real Royal Suites Experience. Kind regards

Hotel and beach is exactly what we were looking

Posted May 31, 2017
Pros: Price and facility
Cons: We were told we would have a butler for the room, and to help us with issues or reservations and such. Never seen him.
Location: 20 min from airport.
Food good, plenty of selection, lot of towels, bar tenders friendly. Some of the staff seemed to be waiting for a tip to provide great service (they did provide good service with out the tip). This was my first experience with an all-Inclusive that allowed tips except at the end. My opinion is it is somewhat counter productive. Sort of, tip me and I will work real hard for you. Don't tip me and I will do my job. My preference is a tip as a gratuity given for great service at the end, not I will hold you hostage until you give me a tip, then I kick into great service gear. Anyway it really did not impact the trip, just different.

Dear Facman, First of all, we would like to thank you for taking your time in order to share your experience on Expedia.com. It is great to know you had a funny stay with us and you liked the variety of food we provide and our friendly staff. On the other hand, I regret id the butler service did not exceed your expectations but I should inform that we have a butler and a concierge in villas 51, 54, 55 and 57. If you are not staying in these villas, you can call them to their extension and they will help you. Furthermore, we should apologize if you felt that the staff only make the difference with a tip. This is a cultural aspect and we are working on it trying to continue serving with a big smile. We hope you can visit us again in order to live a wonderful Royal Suites experience. Kind regards

Nice hotel , room for easy service improvements

Posted May 30, 2017
Huge property, Royal Area is great, spacious rooms and super clean. Buildings need painting as well as walk ways. Service by butlers superb as well as bar in royal pool by building 57. Upgraded to a swimup a must do! Service in restaunays is deplorable or non existent, food though is good! With exception of the tepanyaki restaurant which was great!

Service not what it used to be

Posted May 29, 2017 on Orbitz
Pros: We had a butler who was very helpful and took care of our shopping and dining needs (best part of the service). Food was good at steakhouse and sushi.
Cons: Get the service back to the high levels it was a few years ago and back off the sales pitches so much. Try to resolve issues quickly with one request.
Location: Nice location for early morning sun. Some seaweed washes up on shore, which they clean up. Shopping nearby on the beach (be sure to negotiate!).
This was our third stay at this resort. We enjoyed our previous stays, but this will probably be our last at the Royal Suites Turquesa. Though the food had improved marginally, the level of service had deteriorated significantly. We arrived at the resort on a Saturday, checked in, and were shown to our room. There was no toilet paper, the TV didn't work, the sofa was a second bed, and there was no hair dryer. We were not concerned - we knew we had a butler to assist with these kinds of things. So, we asked. That is where it took a turn. We asked...and asked...and asked. They did get us toilet paper pretty quickly (while we were grabbing lunch), but everything else was a different story. They finally came to look at the TV Sunday after 3-4 times asking, and finally got it working Monday. No fewer than 10 times did we ask for a hair dryer, and it finally showed up Wednesday night. The sofa remained a bed for our entire 7 night stay. What made all this worse was that the resort places a "maintenance request" door hanger on the back of every door (which we also filled out), but the cleaning staff just put it right back on the inside of the door. We also had an incident where one of the bell/transport staff was extremely rude in telling us we would have to wait for the next cart to take us to dinner. We don't mind waiting, but the rudeness was unnecessary. They also no longer give out carved wooden flowers upon leaving. Finally, spa sales and travel club are unrelenting now.

Dear George el , First of all, we would like to thank you for taking your time in order to comment your experience on Expedia.com. It is a pleasure to know you appreciated the friendliness of our butler team, the sushi and BBQ dishes and our location next to the beach. On the other hand, we should apologize for the inconveniences in you room during you stay and the bad attitude from the bellboy. I should inform you that this is not the Palladium standar. In order to improve and offer a better service, we will prepare a meeting with all the involved departments. Thank you again for your words and for your loyalty. Not a luxury resort

Posted May 23, 2017
I visited The Royal Suites Turquesa-Palladium in Punta Cana from 5/17-5/22.The check-in process went pretty smoothly, but once checked in, the room was warm, the refrigerator was warm¬ fully stocked & there was no hot water in our room. These issues were responded to in a timely manner. This is considered an adult resort but most activities are located on the family side so you will see children if you choose to participate in certain activities, see shows, or eat at any of the specialized restaurants, except French, which is on the adult side. There was a foam party at the pool on the family side, nevertheless, & while adults were dancing seductively in contests on the pool side, there were children inside the pool watching this as well. While waiting for a drink at the pool bar, a young child squeezed in to take a seat at the pool bar stool as the "twerking" contest was going on. This resort was a little underwhelming in entertainment compared to other resorts that I have stayed. I made do with what they had to offer. The most excitement was during the excursions off of the resort. The food was ok, nothing special but the most flavorful food was at the Hibachi grill. On the last night of our trip we had dinner at the steak house &this experience took my 3 star review of this resort to 1 star. I ordered beef ribs & as I cut into it, I noticed tiny insect legs. It was an extremely large horse fly that was charred with my meat. I have no plans to revisit this resort.

Dear WellsO el, First of all, we would like to thank you for taking your time to share your experience on Expedia. Your words help us to improve and offer a better service. We should apologize for the invonveniences in your room, this was not the Royal Suites standar. In order to avoid these kind of situations we will held a meeting with the maintenance departement to know the real causes. Furthermore, I regret if you couldn't enjoy the animation activities without children but I should inform you that at the Royal Suites Turquesa we offer an á la carte entertainment program if you do not want to visit a not only adults hotel. In addition, we apologize for the restaurant mistake too. Your comments will be taken into account and we are going to establish corrective actions with the Food and Beverage Manager. Despite these issues, we hope you can visit us again in order to enjoy a real Royal Suites experience. Kind regards
