My stay was ok.

The hotel location was very nice, super close to the beach. Food was not too good, especially the snack bar. The snack bar was dirty and the food with lots of flies. Our room phones never worked! I had two different room and reported the phones to the front desk 3 Times, but they never came to fix them.

Defiantly you will have everything at the spot , rooms are clean beach also was right at the front of the hotel , food was great , and every one was helpful and polite it was an amazing vacation ! Defiantly I will go back !!

Do yourself a favor and don't go there

Pros: Nothing
Cons: The food, the staff, the cleanliness, the entertainment
Location: water activities, can go on day adventures
This was the worst vacation me and my family have ever had. This hotel is dirty, the staff is very rude, they lied about providing assistance when we told them our room fridge didn't work so we didn't even have cold water in the room. The food was beyond ridiculous, it was so bad that just the thought of it made me gag before every meal. I was missing the crappy fast foods back home, that's how bad it was. They only have one buffet with pretty much the same kind of food every day. It gets super crowded in there cause it's only open between certain hours. They have three "specialty" restaurants, but good luck finding a spot to make a reservation. And oh, the drinks. I thought maybe a nice margarita or pina colada would make my stay a little better, well I soon had to switch to vodka or tequila shots because everything else was mixed with some disgusting sugary flavored syrup or who knows what.There are three pool areas, simply pathetic. If you've ever seen a motel6 with a pool that one probably looks better. And let me not forget their live entertainment, which consisted of terrible lip syncing and a band in the background playing fake instruments made out of cardboard! Altogether terrible, and you will even see it on the people's faces, nobody seems to be enjoying themselves, it's really sad. We wanted to get out of there on day 1 and switch resorts or go home, but nobody cared. We talked to the Expedia rep and he said this hotel should have 2 stars not 4. IT'S A HUGE SCAM.

Resort grounds were gorgeous.

Pros: Grounds were gorgeous, beach access and hours food was available.
Cons: Registration: not friendly at all and limited instructions provided about amenities/food. Beach/pool hours; 7:00 pm is early for adult cut off.
Location: Location was great!
Inside the hotel room, the bathroom was horrible. The shower was molded, bathtub rusty and needed to be sealed and refinished. The ceiling in the bathroom leaked. The toilet had urine at the base and the screw areas at base was rusty. The bathroom sink faucet leaked. The refrigerator needed defrosting. The complimentary water was warm because the refrigerator was frozen. The staff lowered the temperature and the refrigerator defrosted and water was all over the floor. Two consecutive days in a row we attending all day excursions and the room was not cleaned. Beds hard. Every day major construction noise and EVERY night a loud banging noise from the roof, AC unit? The grounds are massive but only had one location were you could retrieve beach towels. Highly, disappointed in the registration process and the attitude of front desk staff. **** I have photos but for some reason photos will not load.

It seems that during his stay he was assigned one of the few unrenovated rooms. It's important to mention that about 80% of our rooms have been renovated and the 20% pending will be renovated along 2017-2018 Concerning your comments about the construction in some areas of the hotel, we would like to point out that periodically, we renew our facilities in order to be in the forefront of our guests´ needs; because of this reason, one of our building and its surrounding areas were undergoing maintenance works during your stay. We would like to extend our most sincere apologies for the inconveniences that this plan for improvement may have caused you. In reference to service, we are surprised and worried to hear that you are not satisfied. In fact, our warm and attentive service use to be very often highlighted and definitely it make the difference in Vista Sol Punta Cana. Nice hotel,near the beach,workers very courteous and helpful. Good food, will like to see more Dominican cuisine. Face cloth in the bathrooms
