Estuvimos por dos noche en este Hotel y eran dos habitación en la que yo estaba todo estaba bien pero el segundo día el aire dejo de funcionar, a mi familia la tuvieron que cambiar de habitación ya que la habitación olía muy mal, la movieron a otra habitación y en esta el inodoro estaba dañado el aire acondicionado estaba dañado solo dejaron una toalla no puedo decir que lo recomiendo a nadie serie irresponsabilidad de Mi parte

The staff and service were amazing!!! For the price I would have expected better installations inside the hotel, common areas are well kept, however, the rooms are very old and smelly, bring your cleaning tools and some sheets.

OMG!! My stay at Whalá was fantastic, cute family oriented and AFORDABLE hotel with the most approachable and happy personnel. The hotel and all areas were clean, a great variety of food and delicious, nice evening shows! Can’t wait to go back! One thing I’d like to add - bathrooms at least the one I stayed in could use an updgrade, other than that , FANTASTIC!!

The guest service was horrible. It took us over an hour to check in. The person at the front desk was very rude. The food was basic and tasteless. Not a good experience overall.

stay for 6 nights,have to change room 3 times for air conditioning problems. in year 2024 SALT WATER in showers and sink,they give you 2 watter botles that customers have to refill to wash your mouth. only one place to eat,and is the BUFFET,the other restaurant is outside the hotel and you pay for it. Food is the worse i ever see in my life. The beach is next to a public access to locals and like marine park for all the water activities,at sunchine hundred of Ilegal HAITI emigrant get in the beach and is not safe. and last but for me the worse,is the SMELL of SEWER WATER in the entire area around the hotel. I'm not recomend this hotel it was my very BAD experience,also i dont know how Expedia promote and sell this propiety. i forget to mention that you can spend 15 to 20 minutes in line to get a pair of eggs for breafast or a plate off spagettis at dinner.

Our room (#3215) was very outdated, but mainly the air conditioner was placed on an inner wall, going in to the bathroom, and the ceiling where the water condensation ran through, was drooping severely and leaked water drops on you when you were in the bathroom. Our shower water also was Salt Water? what is that, never felt clean. Food wasn't the best, all dominican mainly, but the flavoring wasn't great, but they tried. Staff was good but not many spoke English. Bar servers were good except on Woman, she was terrible at service. Maids did well on cleaning. But no Blankets in room, only sheets. Lots of Noise from outdoor activities in this particular room or ones nearby, with the pools outside, the kitchen outside it and the shows there also.

Overall we had a positive experience as we went there just for R&R. The property was very clean, nice pools, ideal location and food was delicious. The negatives were: limited bar options, no Diet Cola, gym cardio equipment did not work, the gym was in an allocated space with no doors and malfunctioning ceiling fans, beds and pillows were uncomfortable and towels were limited. They do not provide hand or wash towels. For 3 of us, they gave us 2 bath towels. Limited toiletries. Rooms are outdated but decent. The entertainment was subpar. You need to know you’ll be required to put $10usd down per beach towel you borrow. If you get a poolside view room, then you can watch the entertainment from your balcony but if you want to skip out on the show and get rest, forget it, you can’t because you’ll hear the shows loud and clear. We did enjoy the sit down dining restaurant for dinner but note it’s just the one menu.

Visitamos Punta Cana por primera vez y nos encanto la estadía. Gracias a Cesar y su compañero que fueron los bartenders, muy dinámicos y atentos. Las personas de entretenimiento Alexander y Jazmín fueron amables y divertidos nos hicieron sentir como en casa todo el tiempo que estuvimos allí. Todos muy profesionales, respetuosos y amables. Tuve una mala experiencia con un miembro del staff de entretenimiento llamado John, el estaba animando una actividad y se le ocurrió hacer chistes de Puerto Rico incluyendo imitar la forma de hablar 🙄 se burló indiscriminadamente de Puerto Rico o sea el escogió entretener a los huéspedes a cuenta de burlarse de los huéspedes puertorriqueños. Situaciones que no deben pasar y pasan pq lamentablemente no todos tenemos la misma inteligencia.

The staff services was very helpful. They need to do more for the rooms too old furniture , the bathroom was smiling needed too be fix too. Was hard to bath my 7 months old baby in the shower.

Always there is a say : for quality you should pay!! But in this case I knew that I’m going to lie star inclusive!! But there is limit of how they add fake photos on site, it’s just a buffet with food, the only restaurant there is awful , we should leave the restaurant and eat in buffet !! , any way I will never in my life go back to place that even the room is so dirty, the towels are bd,… snd lot of other issues

The reception staff of the WHALA!Bavaro are fraudsters! They extorted money from me for an extra night. I bought the stay via Expedia, at the reception. After purchasing my stay, I was told to cancel my purchase through Expedia because the front desk could give me a better price. I offered to extend my stay so I would take advantage of this low price later. I was assured that the price would be current and I should not book my stay or additional nights via Expedia. Unfortunately, it turned out that I was treated like a person who wanted to defraud the hotel, I was not given the promised price, and told that if I did not pay their official high price, the police would come for me. The hotel was no longer available on Expedia. After an argument with the receptionist and the person who directly offered me this better price before I had to pay regular high price. I feel cheated, my holiday memories were spoiled, I was threatened by the police and the whole experience was terrible for me, which I informed the hotel employees about. Despite this, I never heard an apology and I consider the price I had to pay to be extortion. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. apart from this incident that happened on the last day of my stay, the hotel food was monotonous and tasteless. Already on the 2nd day I got poisoned and was very sick,I only ate bread with salt and the room wasn't clean enough.

Most staff members were friendly. Food was okay. Rooms were cleaned every day. Salt water runs from shower and faucet. Walking distance from the beach. Convenient if you’re in a tight budget.

It’s a great little property. If your on a budget and want all inclusive. It’s not a 5 star it’s a small hotel but great beach access and staff is great. 1 min walk to sand and water. Food is just ok but it’s the best value for the money.

Staff are exceptionally attentive to your needs and they are very friendly. Room was comfortable and AC worked perfectly. We also enjoyed that everything is within walking distance.
