There is a lot to do in a small area; the hotel has a team that runs little activities that are a lot of fun (for kids and also adults). Pools are right off the beach, super easy to walk between the two. Trails on site, which we have yet to do (this is our third time there). Two different beaches separated by a 3 min drive over a bluff (one could actually walk via the coast but not recommended). They have mini-golf (which we did and is a great course, super nice, lots of trees, cool course), foosball, ping-pong, 'giant' chess, a butterfly garden, kid park, a ton to do; a weekend is never enough. Only bad thing was we made the mistake one night during a cool "Neon Party" (it was family/kid event) at the bar on the beach of ordering the very expensive food there. It was disgusting; we paid $50 for disgustingly deep fried chicken, fish, and pork. Each dish was gross, and we're not picky at ALL. Only eat from the hotels buffet -- it's super expensive but excellent food! And you get to see monkeys and iguanas while you eat...
