Can't compare with Cancun hotels

Posted Jan 7, 2016
Pros: surrounding by nature, clean,
Cons: Beach chairs must be included. Restaurant buffet food very poor variety for the price $ 22 per person
Location: quiet , surrounded by jungle, but don't go during locals holydays , to many peoples
This hotel is ok , the playa blanca beach is beatifull but far away, closest beach inside hotel is public & ugly, shuttle to playa blanca every 1/2 hour, ok if you rent a golf car o rent a car at airport, THE HOTEL RENTS YOU THE BEACH CHAIRS, food is expensive, buffet $ 22 x pers, in Jaco also expensive. We found a restorant Marea Alta in Jaco, big plates , delicious & cheap prices $ 8 per person. If you went to mexico or other all inclusive caribean resorts you not going to like it if compare, but be open minded and enyoy .

Dear Guest, We were glad to read that you enjoyed Playa Blancas and the hotel’s surrounding nature. However, we were sorry to learn that our Buffet did not meet your expectations. We try to vary our menu everyday and to offer a selection of food wide enough to satisfy everyone. Regarding the beach chairs, two systems are in place. The first one is free. Indeed, we have a certain amount of beach chairs that you can take for free and set on the beach by yourself. The second is provided by a beach company and costs around 14$/day. People will set the beach chair and umbrella for you, anywhere you want. We apologize if there was any confusion during your stay. We want to thank you for taking the time to share your experience and for choosing Hotel & Club Punta Leona for your stay. We hope to have the opportunity to serve you again in the future. Best Regards, Adriana M.

¿Konzentration Kamp resort?

Posted Nov 2, 2015 on Hotels

Adriana M.

Interesting place to crash for a couple nights

Posted Oct 20, 2015 on Hotels
Some friends rented a house behind the same gated property and we stayed at the hotel a few kms away. It was a fun place and a good time. The only issues were with the wrist bands: they put bands on us the first day and we couldn't take them off until the end. It was pretty annoying wearing a wrist band the entire time, and by the end of our stay they were grotty and tattered. It seems like they could just give guests a card or something like that instead of branding them with a band. The food was good, though, the drinks strong and plenty of interesting things to check out, like a butterfly garden and mini golf.

Marvellous people, great stay!

Posted Oct 2, 2015
I and my family had a great stay at this hotel. Its staff were super friendly and helpful and went out of their way to help. We were given an excellent room upon request and we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. The room was up to standard, clean and well-maintained. The white-sand beach as owned by the hotel and accessible to its guests was fantastic and we met a family of local ticos, adding to the beauty of the place. We also watched trees packed with parrots; never had we seen so many parrots feeding together. me and my son each were stung by jellyfish, but the property had a clinic with very friendly and competent staff who immediately applied medicine to alleviate the pain - they were very cheerful and competent, in fact, we did not mind the sting, and they made us take differently and somewhat enjoy the unique experience of being stung by jellyfish. The dinner buffet was wonderful, so was the breakfast, with a lot of varieties. They were very well cooked, and the waiting staff were cheerful, friendly and polite. Indeed, great local food with great local staff - what would've been better! We want to say thank to the hotel and its staff - you guys are wonderful, and you should be very proud of yourselves representing the great culture of hospitality of the great country of Costa Rica.

Beatiful resort near the beach and jungle

Posted Oct 2, 2015
Pros: The setting in the jungle and near two beaches. The abundant wild life, the friendly staff.
Cons: Better wifi connection. A printer available to print my boarding pass
Location: I took a lot of pictures, walks and swims
I love my stay in Punta Leona. I have a superior Selvamar bungalow with a balcony with view on the jungle. The room was clean with comfortable bed. It was large and quiet. The wifi works better when I used my airport express. The staff was very nice. Above all it is the beautiful sites: pools, beaches, butterfly garden, jungle and wild life. I saw many Scarlett Makaws flying over the resort, Playa Blanca is a tropical dream. The pools are well maintained.
