Fiona is a wonderful host, who responds promptly. It’s a 20 minute drive from the touristy offerings of Piahia and the busier Kerikeri so if you’re wanting shops and restaurants on your doorstep this may not be for you. “The owners were amazing! There was a power cut in town so I couldn’t get any food. All businesses were shut. Jane cooked some pasta for me and made sure I had a camping stove, torches and candles and anything I needed. I was so grateful. The property is amazing! Clean, tidy and all the amenities you could want. So much attention to detail down to phone charging points and lights that switch on when you walk in the door. The view was amazing and easy access to the beach too. Highly recommend. ”

“This is a great spot. It's about 5 minutes from the Opua Ferry and less than 10 from Russell. It's super remote and quiet. Taking our suburban kids (9 and 4) was fantastic. There is a little boat shed at the bottom of the hill and access to a beach which my older kid loved exploring. The beach itself is quite rocky and full of oyster shells so not recommended for swimming but Long Beach near Russell is amazing and only a short drive away. The house itself is clean, tidy and well loved. ...
