The room was filthy. Almost every surface was covered in slime and crusty particles. We had to wipe down the door knobs, desk, night stands, remote controls, toilet, etc. We stay at a lot of hotels, many that are much older, and hardly ever have to do any self-cleaning.
The front desk would not give me a receipt because they said I reserved through third party. I have booked through Hotels.com several times before and have always been able to get a receipt at the front desk. I will be looking into this more, but was uneasy that I was forced to check out without a receipt.
The breakfast buffet was not stocked.
Although the hotel layout was nice and room was comfortable (after self-cleaning), I will try to avoid staying here. I will even pay a little more to stay somewhere else.

Please accept our apologies for sending you to a guestroom that was not properly cleaned. I assure you that our standards do not allow for such an experience!
Regarding your billing, the front desk clerk was correct. Your transaction did not occur with our hotel so we would have no receipt. The email confirmation that you received at the time of booking would have included a summary of our charges and a receipt.
We appreciate the feedback and will use it to fine tune our operations in the hope that upon your next visit we can exceed your expectations.
