Charming cozy inn

Posted Dec 18, 2016
We loved our stay here. It's a charming inn on an authentic street full of good restaurants, epiceries, and other neighbourhood shops. A pleasant short walk to the old city, musee de beaux arts and other attractions. The breakfast was excellent. Our rooms was very comfortable and had a lovely view. The hosts were wonderfully friendly and helpful with a genuine air of conviviality. The chateau is an excellent choice for a cozy escape and a wonderful private alternative to a big hotel.

Stayed for 3 nights. Good location to explore Quebec city.

Wonderful hotel -- a real treasure

Posted Jul 4, 2016
This was my 3rd stay and every time I stay here I am more impressed by the charm, service and location. The freshly cooked breakfast is such a treat and the decor is charming. I heartily recommend it, especially since it's a bit removed from all the hustle and bustle and in a real neighborhood.

Stay closer to the residents of the Upper Town

Posted Jul 1, 2016
Much more interesting experience living on the part of Rue St Jean where the locals live. Easy to walk to the plains or the Chateau Frontenac for the tourist stuff as well. Great local microbrewery pub "le Projet" just down the street.

Convenient location with indoor parking

Posted Apr 22, 2016
Pros: Friendly and helpful. Reasonable price. Our room was comfortable for 3 adults.
Location: Location convenient to Old Town, Old Port Public Market, La Citadelle and Musee des beaux-artes.
Friendly & responsive service. Very good breakfast individually prepared. Parking in nearby garage. Good view of city from roof-top terrace. Free coffee & tea 24/7 Older building with no elevator was not a problem for us. Interesting shops & restaurants nearby on Rue St-Jean. Convenient to restaurants & bars on Aveneue Cartier.

Loved the accessibility to all the major sites, warmth of the hotel and thq "quirky" old-world nature of the place. Breakfast was great. Would stay there again.

Quiet and accommodating hotel

Posted Sep 16, 2015
This is an uniquely welcoming stay and one of the best hotel experience for us. The room was clean and cozy, the service was on point, and the breakfast a bonus on top of all. We've already recommended this hotel to all of our friends! Oh and it's close to old Quebec and other interesting areas! The little book in the room recommending places and activities was a fun read too :)

Quaint bed and breakfast

Posted Aug 24, 2015
Pros: The staff, the cleanliness, the full breakfasts.
Location: The hotel is located in a neighborhood with shops, restaurants, etc. It's about a 20 minute walk to the center. Ask Jo or William to call a cab.
The hotel is located on the second floor of the hotel. There is no elevator but Jo, the owner, was happy to carry my very heavy suitcase up the stairs. The building is old and charming. The breakfast room is bright and cheerful and the full breakfasts were delicious. William, the weekend manager, was very accommodating when my sister was ill and missed breakfast. Very nice staff!

a Peaceful and gracious haven

Posted Jul 29, 2015
Pros: Everything !
Cons: Can't think of anything ...
Location: Just a nice stroll to the center of Vieux Quebec, with cafes, boutiques and wonderful restaurants on both sides of the street as well.
If you want to be close enough to the Old City and yet want to stay in an authentic and charming neighborhood, Auberge de la Tourelle is the place for you. The rooms are comfortably and charmingly appointed, the staff is warm and friendly and the breakfest delicious and elegant.
