Stayed here a few times. As long as you don't get one of the in-facing rooms, everything is fine. In fact, for the money, it's actually good value, in my opinion . Location might not be to everyone's liking, see as it's a little away for the old city, but I actually prefer it because there are plenty of restaurants , shops and bars nearby and they are large used by locals, which is different from the old city... It's not as touristy. Staff are helpful , rooms are not huge, but nice. I'll definitely be back again.

Dear Neil, we thank you for this great review about your stay in our hotel near activities to do in Quebec City. First, our establishment is 15 minutes away from the walls of the old Quebec on foot and you do have many city bus routes that have stops just a block away from our main entrance that will lead you right in the heart of the historical district, next to the Parliament building. Another nice way to reach the historical quarters is to take a stroll down Saint-Joseph Street towards the train and bus station Gare Du Palais where you will be able to stop in one of the many restaurants, bars and pubs along the way. After you went pass the station, take a peek at the Marche du Vieux Port where you will find plenty of locally grown product sold directly from the producers, then continue along the Bassin Louise to reach the Old Port and its Cruise Terminal, to end your journey in Quartier Petit Champlain, the founding place of Quebec City. Second, I am glad that you mentioned that you found your room to be a bit small, as it allows me to mention that, although we do have bigger rooms than others, all our room with two queens size beds are big enough to easily accommodate up to 4 adults, with our rooms with two queens size beds and a pull-out couch been able to welcome up to 6 adults. To conclude, I wish to thank you for your review of your stay at our hotel near activities to do in Quebec City, and we are thrilled that you will come back to stay with us again on your next visit to Quebec City. Best Regards!

Great weekend getaway!

Posted Apr 18, 2017
Everything was absolutely wonderful! Staff (morning and evening) at hotel restaurant Bistro 330 were awesome! Will be back for another weekend soon! No parking :(. They recommend public ones but turned out to be pricier than mentionned. Definitely going with Valet parking next time.

Dear guest, thank you so much for publishing such a great comment about your experience at our comfortable hotel in Quebec City, to the benefit of every Tripadvisor users. First and foremost, valet service represents the most practical option to securely park your car in an unfamiliar area, as the service guarantee you free unlimited in-and-out access to your vehicle at all time for a competitive price of 25.00$ plus taxes per day. As you mentioned in your review, several public parking are located within a few steps from our door, but the price may vary depending on how long you leave your car parked and how many time you are taking it out for a drive. Although front desk agents and valets attendants can pin-point their location on a map of the surroundings, prices are always subject to change without prior notice and it is always best to get this information at the parking’s gate. Second, restaurant staff are as polite and helpful as their colleague from other department, as guest service quality is one of the feature we emphasize. Open for breakfast every weekday from 7:00Am through 11:00Am and until 12:00pm on Saturday and Sunday, Bistro le 330 is the ideal place to start your day on the right foot with either a complete a la carte menu or an American Buffet. For dinner, take advantage of our delicious North-American bistro menu, available everyday between 5:00Pm and 10:00Pm. So again, thank you for this great comment regarding your visit to our comfortable hotel in Quebec City, hoping that you will indeed come back soon. Best regards!

We stayed 4 days and it was an awesome experience that we would strongly recommend to anyone however if you want to use the pool you better have eyes drops after because they are no cheap on using chlorine. 15 minutes and your eyes are sores. Overall excellent courtoisie and service.

Dear LOUIS, thank you for leaving this great comment regarding our hotel in downtown Quebec City for all Expedia users’ benefits. Inputs such as these are truly valuable to us as they give us information on what needs to be improved and what our guests appreciate from our hotel with indoor pool. Speaking of which, I am sorry you had a hard time while enjoying our heated indoor pool due to the strong odor of chloric product that irritated your eyes. We are currently on several solutions to solve this issue, and we are confident to find the perfect balance between cleanliness and comfort for our pool area. Also worthy of mentioning is the area in which our hotel is located that, despite the easily avoidable drunks and dopy, is blossoming into THE hype place to be in Quebec City. Not only you will find, as you correctly noticed, local boutiques and shops but also lots of tasty and creative eateries, funny concepts bars and pubs, micro-breweries and different kind of show venues, theatres and activities that will please any kind of clientele. Lastly, I am glad that you were impressed by our valet attendants, as it is true that they are professional and dedicated to help you any way they can while holding a proper stance in front of our beloved guests. So once again, dear LOUIS, thank you for this awesome comment on your recent experience at our property, hoping you will choose to stay with us again while touring Quebec City in the future. Nice hotel in downtown

Posted Mar 18, 2017
Pros: Friendly staff. Well-valued breakfast. Quiet area.
Cons: Parking is extremely expensive (CAD24/night before tax), esp. when considering the valet parking is outdoors in the open air.
Location: Walking to the uptown (old Quebec) is fascinating if you take the escaliers.
The hotel is in centre of downtown, which is within walking distance (max. 30 mins walking) to the main attractions of uptown (old Quebec city).

Dear James, I would like to express my gratitude for you commenting your experience at Best western PLUS City Centre Quebec in such a complete and mostly praising fashion. First, your comment regarding the friendly attitude of our staff is greatly appreciated, and adds itself to an already long list of similar comments from previous Expedia users, such as the one from an anonymous guest on February 21. It shows that our countless efforts in providing the industry’s best guest service are not in vain, and that in all, it makes for a better experience for you and all our clients. Second, I am sorry you felt the parking was too pricey, as the rate of 24.00$ plus taxes we charge for our valet parking, which includes free unlimited in-and-out access to your vehicle, is at par with what other downtown location similar to ours offers to their guests. Lastly, we do benefit from an outstanding location, in an area of town that have blossomed over the years into a young and vivid part of town that is packed with great restaurants, pubs and bars with original concepts, micro-breweries and several show venues. Still wish to explore the old city and its most famous historical landmarks? Do not worry, as we are just 15 minutes walking distance (1.1Km) away from Saint-John’s gate, the main entrance to the historical part of Quebec City. Well to conclude, I would like to thank you once more for having commented on your experience at our property, hoping it won’t be your last. Best regards!

Very Bad

Posted Mar 16, 2017
The worst thing was, asking 25 plus tax for parking. This was never mentioned anywhere. This is the first time I had to pay for my parking in a hotel.

Dear Harry, thank you for your comment on your stay here at Best Western PLUS City Centre., and we would like to apologize for not having exceeded your expectations. Been upfront with our customers regarding fees that could be added to your bill is something we take very seriously, and we work closely with our partners like Expedia to display important informations such as the price of our valet service, on that particular case one you can find on several pages during the reservation process. In addition, all comparable hotels that are located in downtown Quebec City don't offer free parking, and our price of 24.00$ plus taxes per night with unlimited in and out access favorably compares to the price range offered by these other establishments. Then, once again, thank you for sharing your thoughts on your experience in our hôtel, hopping you will chose to stay with us again on your next Quebec City adventure. Best regards!

Pet Friendly

Even though this is an older and more modest hotel, they go above and beyond with guests traveling with pets. I really loved their hospitality and my pet did too.

. Dear guest, I am grateful that you took some of your time to publish such a great comment about the amazing stay you and your little fury beast had at our property. Commending reviews such as yours makes our decision to be a pet friendly environment one we will never regret, and it also sends a positive message to other Expedia users that are looking for a pet friendly hotel in downtown Quebec City. Upon arrival with your cat or your dog, you will be given a surprise bag with a few treats and poo-bags along with a map highlighting the nearby parks and a list of service for your pet with contact number. In all, you are provided with everything you and your pet require in order to enjoy your trip to our hotel. As for the first part of your comment, I would like to clarify that, although we want to keep a classic and welcoming look to our establishment, renovations are undertaken quite often. For example, our main lobby and the restaurant’s entrance were refreshed just a few months ago, and our rooms will be the next feature to get the facelift with new carpets and tapestries. Corridors and other public areas will then get the same treatment, with the operation lasting for the next year or so, but as it does not involve major construction work, comfort and quietness should not be affected in a negative way. So again, thank you for your comment on our pet friendly hotel, and we are looking forward to welcoming you again on your next visit to Beautiful Quebec City. Best regards!

Dear Jason, thank you for filling this review of your experience at Best Western PLUS City Center Quebec City. You opinion is truly valuable to us, whether it is favorable or not to us. I would just like to add precision to your mention of the parking fee, which is seemingly the only aspect you thought was not that pleasant. As most downtown quebec City hotels, our property does not offer free parking to our guests, but the valet service we offer definitely represents the most convenient option to leave your car in a secure location, without all the hassle of having to retrieve it yourself. At a competitive price of 24.00$ plus taxes per night, it includes an in-and-out access privilege, which is provided by one of our dedicated valet who will go fetch your car for you at anytime, even removing the snow and/or ice that might have gathered on it. So toconclude, many thanks for these thoughts about our property, and we are looking forward to welcoming you back on your next journey to Quebec City.
