My Stay at the Delta Quebec

Posted Feb 28, 2017
All in all this hotel was amazing from checking, rooms to checkout. Only had 2 issues. 1 room service. Ordered it the first night was okay. Went to order it the second night and ended up in an argument with the gentleman on the phone all he kept saying was he didn't understand. The second issue was with the valet people. When I pulled up they asked if I was parking on my own ot using Valet. I wasn't sure honestly but then the guy told me I had to go park. Bottom line is it would have been cheaper to valet after what I spent to park myself. Worst than airport parking rates. I was a bit taken back by that. Honestly though I would stay there again in a heartbeat especially now that I know to order out and don't park there :). Recommended :)

Great people, Great hotel

Posted Feb 2, 2017
Pros: See above.
Cons: My only problem is that after we booked this trip, United changed the flight and so we still paid for a day at the hotel, but had to leave a day early
Location: Short walking distance to Old Town Quebec and shopping. It was easy to get around and the bellhop was always helpful with hailing us a taxi.
My partner and I stayed here and really enjoyed it. The location is ideal. The reception staff was nice and courteous and always giggled when we asked them to speak English for us. =) Food was good overall - excellent Creme Brulee! The outdoor heated pool was enjoyable... I think it was near 0 degrees Celsius when we went for a swim.

Well situated and clean

Posted Dec 10, 2016
The hotel was well situated- walking distance to the old city and lots of shops and restaurants. Room was clean and comfortable. I found the parking charge pricey at $24. I was disappointed with the check in though. I waited more than 15 minutes before it was my turn to check in. I had made a reservation and paid in full for a family of 5 (2 adults & 3 kids) about 2 weeks prior. At check-in I was informed there would be a surcharge of $60 for the 3 extra guests. I refused to pay and asked to speak to the manager. In the end, i didn't have to pay the surcharge as the 3 additional guests were children but the whole situation took about 20 Minutes to resolve. This was disappointing but the hotel was nice overall.

Mediocre Hotel

Posted Nov 26, 2016
Pros: I liked the beds and pillows. Friendly staff and cleanliness.
Cons: The elevators system. It's a deterrent and I may not return cause of this. When the hotel is busy and full.. the congestion in hallway is problemati
Location: Location and views are great. Super easy to get around.
The elevator system was inadequate - always having to switch from the lobby floor and the escalators were too narrow making passing another person impossible. The hotel heating system in the room was always running, never stopped - it was incessant. Kept me awake. The exterior front of the hotel is run down.. the walk way stones/bricks are broken and the entrance is outdated. The 70's look is outdated.

Convenient to convention centre

Posted Nov 23, 2016 on Hotels
Stayed at this hotel as it was the conference hotel for our conference held next door. It is a very typical corporate hotel which had ok service and ok comfort in the rooms but it seemed to lack something which some of the smaller hotels in Quebec have, maybe because it is outside of the old town. The wifi was good and so was room service and it isn't too far away from the main part of Quebec city. The decor seemed a little tired and while we were there both the lifts and the escalator were undergoing repair so maybe a big renovation is needed.

The hotel was in the perfect location to getting off and on the highway. It took just 15 minutes to get to Montmorency Falls. The foliage was peak and the air was crisp! After going to the waterfall we went to Saint Anne DePraupre, a gorgeous church and shrine. Only another 15 minutes away. Old Quebec with shops, restaurants and sight seeing along the St. Lawrence River was busy and festive. We ate dinner at the LeConcorde Hotel that has a revolving restaurant on the 28th floor. What a view! Lots of walking by the parliament building, battlefields, Plains of Abraham, etc. finished off our weekend.

Location: Everything is nearby, albeit the strolls are hilly, especially on the way home from the riverside area!
Though we had initially been looking for a smaller boutique hotel in the Quartier Champlaign, the Delta turned out to be a great choice: ideally located, as in walk to everywhere in Old Quebec; very comfortable; pleasant, efficient staff; breakfast buffet an exceptional value for the price. On the day we left for our trip back to Victoria, the taxi service was on strike. Quite a shock! However, the efficient desk folks helped us register for Uber, a driver picked us up in 15 minutes, and we made our connection with time to spare, and caught the magnificent display of fall colours along the way.

Mostly a good experience in a very good location.

Posted Sep 6, 2016
Pros: Location. Food.
Cons: Valet.
Location: Near Grand Allee, and the old city. Easy walks to both
For the most part things were fine, but we did have some issues. The second night there the air conditioning unit, even when set to off, whistled like a tea kettle for hours on end. They did fix it and we had no other bad nights. The Valet service was very unorganized. They say call 5 or 10 minutes before you need your car. But numerous times no one picked up there so it bounced to the front desk. You tell them no one is picking up at Valet and they transfer you right back to Valet, where no one picks up again and you go back to the front desk... On the last day there was no valet service as they were on strike and we were only told this when we turned up to get our car. They told us we had to take our bags into the garage where they park the cars ourselves.
