Nice hotel in Old Quebec

Posted Jan 21, 2017
Pros: It was quiet!
The staff was nice. The room was clean. However, since there is no elevator, it might be a problem for some guests who have multiple suitcases.

Excellent Location.

Great place to stay to tour the old Quebec city on foot. I and my wife were only looking for a cozy little room with private bathroom at an affordable price to enable us to have a romantic 32nd anniversary and enjoy Christmas charms displayed in beautiful Quebec City. Hotel Acadia offered us exactly what we were looking for.

Very loud

Posted Dec 24, 2016
The hotel is very noisy. There was loud banging and thumping directly about my room every day and night. I spoke to reception about it one evening because I couldn't sleep but it continued all night. Other than that the rooms are clean. No natural light though.

Good location

Posted Dec 23, 2016
Pros: Location
Cons: Break fast should have more options
Location: Old Quebec; restaurants, cafes, souvenir stores, etc.
The hotel was actually in Old Quebec, so it was really convenient. But shower room is super small, and we woke up a lot at night because we heard lots of strange noise.

Great place to stay for visitor

Posted Dec 22, 2016
Located in the old city. Everything is within walking distance - restaurant and sights. It was a fantastic location. The staff were very helpful and efficient. We ended up in a studio, it was extremely spacious and comfortable. When I booked, I noted there were some negative post. I had no such problem or issue. What I would say is that you need to note that this is an old building so expect things like creaky floorboards etc! I arrived early for my check in and the hotel was happy to store my luggage for me while I winder around town. Same for the check out! If you intend on visiting around Christmas Market time (over now for the year), the hotel is just up the street and around the corner!

A charming surprise

Posted Dec 3, 2016
Pros: The location, spaciousness of the room, and the old world charm.
Cons: The room was a bit cold and there is no way to control the temperature. Be sure to dress warmly. Wi-Fi wasn't very strong, but who cares?
Location: Best crepes were at Casse-Crêpe Breton, rue St-Jean and great steak frites at L'entrecôte St-Jean. Spectacular waterfalls Chute Montmorency.
The location is perfect....right in the middle of the upper old city. Our room #420 was beautiful, spacious and so comfy and charming, complete with brick walls and lovely furniture. The bathroom was luxurious. Other reviews complained about lack of elevator and walk up the flights, but that is part of the charm of staying in old-world Quebec, although probably not best for elderly or those with very young children.
