Old Quebec City

Posted Dec 21, 2016
Pros: The combination of modern facilities with original architecture was well done
Cons: free parking would be nice
This hotel is well-situated for anyone visiting Old Quebec. We walked through charming streets to the furnicular, then to the German Market. hotel staff were very helpful in giving directions. Our only complaint was the room temperature, it could not keep up with the winter conditions outside.

Everything was clean and ok. Parking is 25$ ... I never lived anywhere else in Qc so I can't compare to other place but there was nothing special about this place.

Not impressed

Posted Nov 22, 2016
Pros: the location in the lower town was good
Cons: Surely the breakfast. Take out the unnecessary furniture so you can get from the bed to the bathroom without running into furniture.
Location: walking, eating, drinking, soaking up the history.
We were not very happy with our stay here. The best thing was that it had a good location for our purposes. Our room was very small, and so trying to squeeze in extra furniture, such as a small table and two bar stalls since it had a "kitchenette", made it even more cluttered. There was virtually no space for our luggage. Our room overlooked a gas station. Some rooms appear to be larger than the one we were given. The heating and the air-conditioning are separate units, and so we had both on for the first several hours until we figured out what was going on. I don't know how they make money when they have the air con set for 70 degrees, and the heat set for 72 degrees. The complimentary breakfast is served in the pub (which might be the worst pub in all of Quebec) and the food was truly inedible. We didn't even bother going after the second day. I wished we had stayed elsewhere. I'm not sure why this place has had good reviews. It is tolerable, but not at all enjoyable.

I am so sorry that your stay with us did not live up to your expectations. As for the size of the rooms, we actually have 4 categories that are offered. The Classic category is the smallest and the cheapest. As for the air conditioning that works at the same time as the heating, we leave to our guests the free choice for their comfort. However our maintenance team does a follow-up so that both do not work together following the release of the rooms. Thank you for sharing your points so that we can follow up on them.

Old Quebec in the art district.

Posted Nov 20, 2016
A nice little gem without the touristy hustle and bustle of other tourists. It's quiet here with street line of art galleries. A 12min brisk walk to the Funiculaire and that beautiful world Heritage street with shops. The hotel is situated right near the old port. The hotel faces a semi busy street and quiet on the opposite side. We chose a superior suite with a separate bedroom. Lovely but we moved to another part of the hotel due to the loud noise from that semi-busy street and weak wifi. They accommodated without delay, thank God it was ain't a busy season. Nice quaint restaurants nearby without the high price as the other places in old Quebec. We enjoyed it.
