Warm and practical

Posted Jul 22, 2016
Stayed in a one bedroom unit with my best friend. The sleeping configurations included a queen and a single in the bedroom plus a sofa bed in the lounge room. My friend took the queen and I took the sofa bed In the lounge, which allowed plenty of space for us both. Kitchen was equipped with basics for basic cooking. Our stove cooktop didn't seem to work that well. Only one temperature (high) which only got hot enough to cook an omelette, fridge was missing it's dial knob and we couldn't make our fridge cool for drinks but a quick request to management and they replaced our fridge's temp knob. Plenty of heating with wall panels, we also had under floor heating as we were on the ground floor. Ample hot water too. The decor is outdated and there was no drying room for our ski equipment. We had to leave our wet gear inside against lounge room wall under some spare towels that management provided. We left our wet clothes draped over chairs that we placed near the main heating panel. Management helped us promptly with any enquiries regarding information we required about travel and transfers around town, however on two occasions offended me personally 1. Sexuality 2. Handled a missing property complaint rudely by firstly accusing my best mate and secondly interrogating me in my room and searching through my belongings without permission. Noise from above rooms can be heard clearly eg doors, footsteps, talking. Not a bad place to stay for $$, I just wouldn't rave about it

Great Location!

Posted Jul 18, 2016
Location: Do the queens town walking trail; about 5 minutes up the hill from Amity Lodge.
The location is great. The man who runs the hotel had a lot of suggestions for food, which was helpful and was overall SO sweet. It's an apartment, which when I travel I tend to go to grocery stores and just cook my own food to save money so I absolutely loved that. The locations was great; 5 minute walk from the center of town. There are great walking trails/hikes nearby.

We stayed same place twice and it was really cosy, though a bit distant for walk to market, that too on a sloppy gradient road,

Really enjoyable!!!

Pros: Friendly staff.
Cons: None
Location: A bit far from the center of Queenstown but it still is in walking distance. And it's quiet rather than it's located near to the city center.
Staff was friendly, room was large and clean, and everything was good!

Very pleasant stay. Good size unit and the lounge room was spacious! Hosts very helpful and warm. About 8 to 10 minutes' walk to town centre.

The owners were very warm and helpful in giving us good advice for our trips to Milford Sound and Wanaka. They also make great recommendations and dinner reservations for us in Britannia and Minami Jujisei restaurants.
