This was a short break - Business and pleasure. Hotel was well placed in easy walking distance of the main Town attractions - Pubs. Clean and well priced for the level of Hotel.

Nice hotel

Posted May 22, 2016 on Wotif
Pros: Breakfast had a lot of variety.
Cons: Restaurant/Lounge area was on an open mezzanine floor above reception - too noisy.
Location: shuttle bus into town would have been good
Generally good value for money. Took 2 day package ($29) to get parking, wi-fi and upgrade to full breakfast, plus late checkout which was well used.

Better than Wanaka's Puzzling World

Posted May 12, 2016
Lovely linen and confort Need to carry a map to get around the complex - got lost twice. Hahaha Room had no elevator access so baggage had to be carried up and down stairs. But worth it for a view at a very fair price

Lovely hotel

Posted May 9, 2016
Only stayed for 2 nights , but a really nice hotel, we were on level two with a lake view. Good big rooms, payed the extra $5 per day for really fast Wifi . Did not eat at hotel, but everything about it we liked. Beautiful views, 5 to 10 minute walk to centre of town, very friendly staff

Nice hotel just outside of town

Posted Apr 29, 2016
The hotel is located within 10 minutes walking of town (if walking along major streets/roads). There are also walking paths/trails next to the hotel that go through the garden/along the river that take a little longer to get into town (around 20 minutes). They are worth the walk; very scenic and beautiful! The staff in the hotel were great! They were always ready to help and answer any questions. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The biggest downside to this hotel is that the wifi isn't free. They do offer 30 minutes free wifi every 24 hours per device, but it would've been nice to have unlimited free wifi!

Clean and close to downtown

Posted Apr 27, 2016
Pros: Pleasantly surprised at the nice condition of the room; incredible view of lake & mountains. Loved the Hot Tub; needs to be booked at desk though.
Cons: There was no microwave oven in the room, and no Gideon's Bible to read.
Location: A short walk to the heart of the business district; 5-10 minutes. I took about 10-15 minutes to walk to the dock for the steam boat ride.
We stayed for two days and had a great experience. We were just down the hall from the restaurant and ate there twice; The food was very good and prices on par with typical QT meals; ~$20 dollar mains etc. I'd recommend getting the parking pass and internet package they offer at the desk; it came with coupons for a free tap beer (or wine) each night at the restaurant. Parking in the underground garage is $10/night but the only other option is street parking here. A lot of tour groups book here but were of no bother to us with our 4 year old. None of them seemed to take advantage of the really nice hot tubs, but we did each night. Book them at the desk (no extra $) and they are private. The place is in nice tick and better than we expected in all ways. Fantastic view of lake and mountains.

Clean, comfortable and close to everything

Posted Apr 19, 2016 on Wotif
Comfortable beds and pillows. Modern room with lovely walk in shower. Excellent staff, particularly reception. Great views. Could do with tissues in bathroom and small shampoo/conditioner. Towels a bit rough, but that's a minor issue.
