We only stayed the night before a flight, but the room was more than adequate and comfortable. It would have been very convenient to have an airport shuttle (free or at a fee) as parking is NZ $16/day, but I understand it may not be feasible. All in all, I would recommend this property to others.

Our stay at the Hilton was superb. The checkin staff team - Lee & her colleague Arun recognised road weary travellers & took over, helping with our bags and recommendations. The room was spacious with a deep bath and comfortable bed. Our dining experience delicious and the outdoor fire pit a special treat. Our overall impression was of a professional team delivering a great service. Thank you.

It's in a great location and very clean, however the room size was extremely small for the price. The hand wash dispenser on the basin was empty, as was the conditioner dispenser in the shower. Reception was unattended a number of times when we wanted to ask for these to be replenished. The room service menu didn't load on the TV (and there was no other menu in the room). We didn't like not being able to see the TV from the bed. Overall, a disappointing stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton.

Wasn't great there was someone's Invisiline left on the floor by chair, and 4 big dead flies left as well. Apart from that, room was nicely appointed. A bit dark and view to a concrete wall and carpark. Still, easy to get to and from, enjoyed QT

Would be beautiful but the cleanliness ruins it
The hotel looks like the photos. There is a beautiful lake view of the balcony and a spacious room and bathroom in a great area just outside of Christchurch near all the tours. However, the hotel and the room itself was filthy. There was items of garbage on the floor, the bathroom contained spills on the counters and hair in the sink and tub and the bedding contained significant stains including blood. The entire thing was super dusty especially the bed to the point where it was triggering our allergies quite significantly. Would be such a beautiful place if only it was clean!

Had to pay for parking. Hotel was on a hill which made it rather difficult to navigate around the building—we figured it out though. Got upgraded to a nicer room for free which was very exciting!

For the price paid this should be a five star hotel. It is a three star at best. It is not much more than a place to get some sleep after a long flight however you pay for a luxury room. Very disappointed in the value.

Customer service 5/5, another customer was there to ask about the ferry schedules, and whether they could take their car as well. The way the staff just answered all the questions with a smile and said that he can also look up schedules on the site. Everything about it felt so welcoming. Housekeeping is a 5/5, sorry if you got tired of us, the trip we had was ro celebrate my sister's 21st birthday. So most of the time we would be in one room planning or hanging out. Parking cheap and affordable $16 a day, they start charging after 3hrs i would say was a bonus, we ended up saving more money on activities to do. I think it's because we checked in late, but would have like a tour around the hotel, we most cooked food in the room, and out in the city, same with laundry first-time staying at a hotel.didn't know what service was provided since i wasn't the one who did the booking. All in all, everything about the hotel is amazing, we're planning on going back to stay at the hotel for our next trip.

The property has a magnificent location and my room had a beautiful view, with many other quality additions. I Unfortunately did not enjoy several other aspects of my stay. I Specified and paid for a King size bed in my room and had two singles instead. The room servicing was below par for two days until I reluctantly mentioned it. The lifts are noisy to the point of being a worry (I was not alone in this issue with several other guests mentioning it. The service at the front desk was good when there was someone there, which was not often. Lastly the rooms air conditioning requires it to be turned down to an uncomfortable level to have any affect in the bedroom which was constantly hot and stuffy. Would benefit from a fan at least if not ducting. I have stayed at the Hilton Spa previously and enjoyed it immensely. Accommodation at the Hilton is never cheap, and my expectations are high. I cannot say my expectations were met here and unfortunately and I will not return.

Have stayed before like that it's away from QT township feels relaxing. The toilet area smelt of men's urine very strong, perhaps the gaps in the floor tiles have been peed on and penetrated the tiles. Shower area tiles had pink skin staining and also on the shower curtains. I can remove this in my own home.

We loved the location of this property to town and the airport. We were also close to the Outlet Shops (which was a delight for me). We were able to rent bikes and cycle into Queenstown, which was great. The check in was super quick & helpful. The room spacious, neat, clean, and facilities all that we could expect.
