Cheap and cheerful!

Pros: Very well priced
Cons: The breakfast could have been a little hotter!
We stayed here because it only cost $135 for 2 adults and 2 children (in one room). We didn't have high expectations at that price but we were pleasantly surprised. Although the hotel is a little tired, everything was very clean and comfortable. We had a full cooked breakfast at the hotel in the morning due to the exceptional price - only $10 each. It wasn't the best breakfast we've ever had but for the price it was great. We had a hire car so the short drive from Queenstown wasn't a problem. Every staff member we encountered were FANTASTIC. Very happy and cheerful.

I'm really satisfied with the room conditions, cleanliness, and the hotel environment. The food tastes at the hotel restaurant also good.

Nice to be out of town itself

Pros: Like being out of Queenstown rat race. But close enough to get to attractions. The spa was nice too
Cons: The hotel appeared to cater only for the Asian tourists, ie the restaurant. Ability to air the rooms as they were really stuffy and hot.
Location: Great location.
Hotel was ok for overnighting. Television was really outdated and room was stuffy. We ate the restaurant one night but when we asked for the sour dough bread that was advertised in the meal on the menu, the waiter did not understand English very well and bought out raisin toast to go with the antipasto and cured meat dish.

Spacious mountain hotel

Pros: The large guest room, the mountain views, the large restaurant, and the games available for the evening, e.g. bowling and the games room
Cons: The rollaway bed for our daughter was uncomfortable, she reported the springs hurt her back.
Location: Beautiful location and scenery. The shuttle bus into town made everything accessible even without a car.
Relaxing, spacious, snow-capped mountain views, multi-lingual staff, bowling alley on the premises, close to ski fields

Good choice outside of qtown cbd

Large room. All services available including free cbd shuttle if you don't want to drive home after going out. In house restaurant and spa. Plenty of parking space and outside tap at end of building to wash mountain bikes.

Nice but at the price disappointing

Pros: The restaurant food, limited in range but what they do they do very well. The staff were just wonderful.
Cons: Everything that the guests see.
Location: The hot pools across the road which we have used before and were the reason we booked this hotel are amazing.
Its tired very tired, The staff are great but the annual maintenance budget has been under spent for a long time, and it shows, it is sad as you get the feeling that once not that long ago she shined but alas no more. We will not go back to this property.

Great value for money

Pros: Good location not caught up in the turmoil of holiday period Queenstown. ease of parking and access to the wider country attractions of The Lakes Dist
Cons: Some chairs in our room would have been a great idea
Location: Nice location central to all activities in and out of Queenstown without getting caught up in the chaos of the town.
Comfortable - would like to have had 1 or 2 chairs in our room but otherwise good value for money. Easy parking and access to everywhere you may wish to travel.
