Nice hotel - close to Marquee places

Posted Jan 14, 2016
Pros: Staff - very helpful & understanding. Facilities
Cons: More- in room facilities like hot-plate etc.
Location: Not a scenic location, but quiet and convenient. Near to many of the Queenstown's marquee areas like - Kauwaru bungy jump; Shotover Jet; Gondula.
The hotel was close to Kauwaru Bridge, Shotover Jet; Gondula, ArrowTown. The staff were very helpful. Breakfast and dinner was a bit pricey but delicious.

Mostly great. Just two issues - it was very hot and it would have been nice if there was air conditioning or a fan provided. Also the system where the power all goes off when you take the key out of the room is a problem as we had things in the fridge which needed to be kept cold. Otherwise great thanks. The hotel was maybe a little shabby (light fittings in need of repair, pool not going, that kind of thing) but for a place to sleep near Queenstown it was good.

Wonderful staff!!!

Posted Nov 22, 2015
Had a wonderful time here with my partner. The staff were incredible and the shuttle was so handy. Everyone working in this hotel is so lovely and the service is wonderful. Staying here made our stay in Queenstown much better. The bowling was also great, a fun cheap activity to do right where you stay. I would definately come back here. Thank you!! Keep up the great work

Probably was nice once

Pros: Pleasant staff and a great serene location
Cons: Hotel needs a refurb badly
Location: So much to do in Queenstown, but you will want a car or to utilize the shuttle as this is a little bit out of town.
In a lovely spot, with fantastic staff, the condition of this hotel is starting to feel quite rundown. Little things, like latches missing on the window, the door stop in the bathroom missing but the screw still sitting there proud among the tiles for you to gouge your foot on, the bath surface all cracked and flaking away.

Pros: the crisp white linen sheets were beautiful. Also the bowling alley was good entertainment to have inside the hotel
Cons: the bedspreads were a bit manky and could do with a new widescreen tv. needs a total new refurb as lots of paint peeling off and the room smelt musty
staff friendly and helpful, nice breakfast although no buffet as ski season had just finished. would only recommend to people by saying a cheap hotel for a family as had separate beds for kids instead of 2 x doubles. bowling alley was a bonus for family too and would be the best location if all you wanted to do was ski in the winter as the closest hotel to Coronet Peak.

Close to everything.

Pros: The hotel was warm which automatically gave you a cosy feeling. The room was big and clean. And the staff were very friendly.
Cons: The hotel is in need of an upgrade!! It looks 'tired'. Television reception was poor as was the choices for viewing. No radio or TV guide provided.
Location: It is close to the Queenstown resort and ski fields, etc. There is a wealth of activities to do that caters for everyone.
I wanted a motel close to everything but away from everything. Only minutes from Queenstown, it was quiet. Convenient for me I suppose. It was warm inside unlike the weather outside! I awoke to snow one morning ands so the landscape was pretty awesome.

Comfortable.

An 80's styling of decor and definitely in need of a 'tidy up' but never the less a very comfortable stay, nice meal & adequate breakfast. ( very well priced ). If your after a swish flash place, this certainly isn't, but certainly comfortable enough to rest your head.
