It's a 3star level hotel,far from 5star

1.Several big holes on the inside road ground,unbelievable. 2.Called reception dozens of times,never got through.Even leave message,they never call back.3.During these 4 nights stay,no housekeeping! No rubbish collect,no towel change! Reception ask for extra payment for housekeeping service. 4.Terrible ventilator.Whole room smells mouldy. The worst 5star hotel I ever met.

We had a two bedroom apartment over looking lake with a safe car park facility underground. The apartment was spacious and well maintained bit the view was awesome, you just did not want to leave the apartment, we had long leisurely breakfasts just looking out of the big windows, highly recommended.

Pros: Apartment contained everything we needed for a week long stay. The gas fire was awesome.
Location: Handy walk to Queenstown, the park we walked through each day to get to town was beautiful with its autumn colours.
Excellent location, comfortable apartments, friendly staff. The view across the lake to the snow capped mountains from our huge windows was amazing each morning to wake up to. No negatives about our stay.

Simple but Classy

The bed was absolutely amazing the bathroom floors were heated and the washer and dryer was a life saver. I would stay here again. Also an easy walk to and from town, just what I was looking for.

Disappointing experience

Pros: Friendly reception staff
Cons: Use New Zealand products, we are after all in New Zealand not Australia.
Location: Reasonable location but needs better signage to find reception office when approaching on Frankton Road
We were looking forward to our stay at the Ponamu Apartments but found it a disappointment and will not be staying there again. Our stay was affected by a foul smell coming through the loud bathroom extractor fan. The bathroom lighting is connected to the extractor fan and every time the lighting was on the fan emitted a foul smell. We found the bedding (wool duvets from Australia! ) were not warm enough. Visitors to New Zealand paying for expensive accommodation expect premium NEW ZEALAND made wool duvets for goodnesss sake!

Good facilities.

Pros: Great staff and facilities.
Cons: Do something about the excessive noise when next door Unit open and closes the inner and outer doors.
Location: 15-20 minute walk into town.
Quite happy with facilities, very friendly and helpful staff, but very noisy when next Unit uses inner and outer doors.

This is a good hotel in Queenstown located close to the downtown area and the airport.

Close to town but access is tricky, hard to get in

Overpriced for type of room offered, bedroom furnished with flimsy blinds that barely offer any privacy. The bed itself was very lumpy and uncomfortable. Staff were very friendly

Service Apartment, hilly location

Rooms are rather small than what the pictures show but it was clean. All rooms are rather far apart and involves a lot of walking and there are no lifts to get from floor to floor. The are ramps to pull your bags but only if they have wheels and then you still will have to carry them up the stairs you get a room on the top floor. The hotel is located on a hill and a comfortable work to the main town area but forget walking back unless you plan to walk up hill. There are also no shops etc nearby so go prepared with things you may need. The walkways are also in open areas and if it rains then you will get wet. the walkways were also a little dark leading to and from the rooms in the night.
