Wonderful place to stay in Costa Rica!

Everything about this hotel resort was what we were looking for, except it was not directly on the beach, which was fine. The view of the Pacific was wonderful, and there were 4 different swimming pools on site. The trail to the beach was a little rough but not super long, and the beach itself was very secluded. We arrived a few days after a hurricane had come through so, we experienced rain almost every day. But with the air temperature in the low 80's a little rain was actually welcome.
The resort was not just one tall hotel building but rather several shorter buildings (with one tall, but not overpowering building) built on the hillside and all were attached by outdoor walkways. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and friendly- we went on the Manuel Antonio National Park tour and the Mangrove Tour. Use a tour guide if you do the Nt'l Park because they use scopes to spot all the wildlife. It was amazing!
Excellent breakfast buffet every morning which is included in the price. And a good menu selection for lunch and dinners. There was wildlife all around: iguana, a resident sloth, monkeys, and beautiful birds and butterflies. On your way to or from the airport don't forget to stop at the 'crocodile bridge'. Park at the end of bridge and walk to the center where you can view dozens of huge crocs lazing below in the muddy banks of the river. (It's about an hour from the resort).
