The views from this hotel are unlike any other. We woke up every morning to ocean views and many birds and monkeys. We went to bed every night watching the many birds and monkeys. The staff were super accommodating and friendly. The only downside is the place is outdated and in need of some repairs. Considering it was clean, the beds were comfy and the unbelievably views it was well worth it.

This hotel looks nice in the photos, though it has different wings that look very different. The room I was given was a far walk from the reception, walking outside and then down a hallway with bugs everywhere, down a flight of stairs and past the broom closets, it was missing the top tiles from the bathtub, and all together was a pretty terrible looking room. When I checked out I left my bags in a "secure" room and came back 2 hours later to pick it up. My credit cards and cash somehow disappeared from this room, the hotel said they didn't find it, though I had it with me before putting it in that room and no longer had it after. The staff was very friendly and very nice but I'd avoid this hotel if you can.

Communicative, kind, and caring staff who go out of your way to help the guests with everything. The management immediately addressed the Cappuccino crisis and resolved it within 24 hs. Golf carts always readily available to shuttle the guest to the trail leading to the beach at Shana. The bar tender at the pool catering to the guests’ boozing needs. Room service from cleaning to laundry is done discreetly and promptly. Last but not least, as many of us still need to work or deal with work related responsibilities while on vacation, and even though Blue Mirador does not have a business centre, the management took the initiative to help establish me in a special room for my conference video calls every other night during our nine night long stay, especially when my family was resting at our gorgeous ocean view room. We wish Blue Mirador staff the best and look forward to seeing them again soon.

The bathrooms pictured on Expedia for a standard room is NOTHING like the actual bathroom we had. I didn’t bother complaining because we were busy with tours. And the room was ok…just not what was expected.

I never got a chance to stay at the property, the road was shut down to the property within a mile due to a power line down. The property could not be reached by phone and I could not get any assistance. I stayed at a resort nearby but have not received any correspondence from this property as to a credit or refund. VERY frustrating!!

We understand the inconvenience you experienced due to the road closure and power outage in the Manuel Antonio area. We understand that there was confusion regarding your booking. We did communicate with you through Expedia to explain the situation since the road was not completely closed, it was only regulated lane and to advise on the process for refunds or date changes since any changes or refunds need to be processed through Expedia directly, as your reservation was non-refundable. Unfortunately, due to the power outage, our phone lines were down, which made it difficult to reach us directly. We understand your frustration and appreciate your understanding.

This hotel has some …. history to it & has changed ownership a few times since 2020. It’s definitely got some remnants of its original beauty & a crazy amount of potential. It is over priced, however, especially in the condition it’s in. I can see that they have replaced some furniture & are working on repairing the bat cave bar, etc. restaurant also was closed, had to go to Shana which is very over priced for food. Tiles were coming off the pool like crazy. The view is unmatched, though. The staff are very kind & helpful. We did thoroughly enjoy our stay & are very grateful for their hospitality! It’s got high hopes for sure. Another thing is the construction on the building. First two days it didn’t bother us at all & then it was very disruptive unfortunately. All that said we had a beautiful time & that 360 view from the sky lounge was unreal!!! Thank you again everyone!

Oceans Two has the potential to be an amazing hotel but is currently being renovated which resulted in no restaurant or bar (except pool bar) on site and currently very tired decor and facilities and noise from this work and on 2 buildings opposite. Otherwise, the location was the perfect combination of being walking distance to the beach and restaurants (steep hill, no lighting) while high enough for some spectacular views and visits from wildlife such as monkeys, iguanas and toucans. The staff, especially the reception staff and Jorge (who did everything) were very friendly and helpful. We only had breakfast at the hotel on a couple of occasions before the restaurant closed and we had to go to Shana by the Sea. Having met the new chef, we have high hopes for the new restaurant which also has great views. Although a lovely small hotel and having great charm, this is not a 4* hotel. Coffee in the room is chargeable, we frequently had no hot water and our keys stopped working almost daily. All petty things which were always sorted. Overall we enjoyed our stay but the hotel was not as advertised.

Can’t say enough about Jorge and Oceans 2
Our stay at Oceans Two was amazing. We were welcomed in and taken care of by Jorge who was the most charming and kind person I have met in a long while and that is saying something since I met a lot of people in Costa Rica. Jorge made us feel like family with honest appreciation and genuine love for Costa Rica and a Manuel Antonio. This all made our stay more relaxing. Jorge is a shining jewel of this hotel. We were grateful to have met him as part of this journey. Steven at the pool bar was delightful and the front desk staff were helpful getting us checked in and out and answering questions. The room was stunning with a view and a nice balcony where we sat and enjoyed the evening. The staff at the restaurant at Shana by the Sea were also tremendous as was the food.

Stay away from this so called "hotel" ! It's a complete fraud!!! We've booked for 3 nights and because hotel was empty they have closed bar and restaurant, so no food or drinks on premise..instead they offered a golf cart to nearby hotel for a dinner. Rooms are nowhere close to the advertised images on Expedia, old broken furniture, terrible smell from the recent wall painting and no hot water in the shower, someone's black hair in the bathroom, dirty bedsheets. And finally a giant roach under my pillow, another dead roach in the closet and reception guy who sprayed raid all around my bed, made us leave the property immediately. The worst hotel experience I've ever had!

The hotel room I had was very spacious with a large patio & an incredible ocean view. Also included a kitchenette. The views from the pool area were amazing. The staff was super friendly & secured a guided tour to Manuel Antonio park when availability was limited.

Big potential, but leaving with mixed feelings
The location, amazing views, and friendly staff are huge pluses. On the disappointing side: - extremely noisy construction site on the other side of the street, with work starting as early as 5:30 AM one day (!!!). I would love to be given this information before making any booking decision (e.g. on the hotel's website) - breakfast included - very minimalistic continental breakfast, with pastries replaced with cornflakes. One day they even ran out of jam. In comparison to other places we stayed - this was quite bad.

Wish we were staying longer.
We had a surprising time at the hotel. It was refreshing to set in the pool and have a relaxing drink. The views are amazing from the room and pool terrace. There were toucans and macaws in the trees at eye level. I wish we were staying longer than just a night. Breakfast was excellent with fruit and toast. And had eggs added for a,small charge. Will definitely mark it as a place to stay whem in the area. And it willbe for at least two to three nights as it is close drive to dominical and jaco. Great experience.
