Needs help

Posted Aug 26, 2015
The pool area is dark and u inviting. The hours for the pool don't work well. Open at 10am is to late. Towels have holes in them. There was garbage behind the fridge and desk. Out of five nights we asked for our room to be cleaned on the third day. No clean cups were left. Or towels, the bedding had literally been thrown up not made nicely they did not empty the garbage. So we did not ask again. Place really needs a little work. No elevator and they did not ask if we needed a ground floor husband has heart problems. Carrying suitcases was a challenge.

Easy on the budget

Posted Aug 5, 2015
Pros: Location and pet-friendly
Cons: Parking and hospitality
Location: Easy on/off highway. Close to downtown and river walking trails.
Was centrally located. Easy off/on the Highway. Great at accommodating pets and children. Clean. Parking your vehicle is a problem, both nights we had to park in an adjacent dirt lot. Quite a hike in the dark with babies and suitcases. Staff was not overly friendly or helpful. Breakfast was good, but coffee in the room was really a weak brand.

A very tired hotel

Posted Apr 30, 2015
Pros: It was conveniently located.
Cons: The decor, the carpet, the wall colour, the welcoming staff, the grounds, the bathroom....
Location: It was downtown so close to shops, restaurants, and a grocery store.
This hotel, while conveniently located, is very tired and somewhat shabby. The room was very small and had an odd smell and no matter how many lights we turned on still felt dark. The staff were not very friendly although the language barrier may have had something to do with that. The breakfast was so-so.

Thank goodness I only had to stay one night

The place needs to be upgraded, as they still have the old style curtain and the smell of the rooms is a bit musty. The bathroom I had smelled old and behind the toilet on the floor was a white towel to capture the water leaking from the toilet. From 1-10 and 1 being the lowest I rate this a 3. I also noticed the walls and tv and chairs still had old sticky and brown stuff on them as the cleaners do not do a very good job, plus the sheets smell different as they are using a less expensive laundry detergent. One plus they have HOT water!
