The property is truly something special — 500 acres of peaceful beauty, incredible trails, and the kind of seclusion that lets you completely unplug and reconnect with the people you’re with. You can tell so much love and care was poured into this place. From quiet mornings to exploring the trails and soaking in nature, it was exactly what we needed. We made so many wonderful memories here and will absolutely be coming back again!"

"Take into account, this is a State Park, not a private resort. I personally prefer supporting public families than private business. Sure, it's not as fancy or updated in decor or appliances, but it is clean, with a focus on sustainable products, which messages with my values. It is a BEAUTIFUL setting. I look forward to my next stay there!"

The cabin is private, yet close enough to Portsmouth to be convenient. I would highly recommend this stay for anyone seeking seclusion and a little bit of adventure."

"The cabin was just what we wanted - a very nice place to stay away from it all near a stream and woods where there were lots of migrating birds. The cabin had comfortable beds, a huge, super comfortable sofa, big tv in the living room and everything we needed in the kitchen. We also enjoyed visiting Portsmouth (about 15 minutes away) to see the dozens of amzing murals painted on the wall along the river."

"I've stayed at a BUNCH of different hotels in my almost 50 years, BUT this hotel is by far the WORST hotel I've stayed at. The front desk associates were all nice and helpful, but it's only so much they can do. The room wasn't clean, it had lady bugs and stink bugs everywhere! The walls had stuff all over them, the floor was filthy. I was given a handicap accessible bathroom, that had bugs in the tub. The breakfast area was also FILTHY, food all over the floor, sticky stuff on the floor. I would NOT recommend this hotel, let me not forget the train that kept coming through during the night. Hopefully I can upload the pictures I took."
