Loved how close it was to town.

The hotel is beautiful! The staff was great, we found the room to be big and comfortable beds, but the room was a little cold for our comfort.

Hotel Patio Andaluz, Quito Equador

Posted Jan 12, 2017
Pros: Location, staff, decor, hospitality, staff, food and the staff are wonderful.
Location: Close to shopping, the Main Square which is surrounded by the Presidential Palace, cathedrals, museums, food and shopping.
This is a beautiful boutique hotel located in the heart of Old Quito; walking distance of the historic center with all amenities close by. The staff at this hotel are more than excellent; they are "over the top" helpful and so very friendly and kind. The restaurant serves a wonderful buffet breakfast complete with special requests and wonderful local cuisine lunch and dinner menus. There is a cozy bar/lounge on the lower level just off the beautiful atrium. Oh, and did I mention how wonderful the staff are? We highly recommend this hotel.

Excellent Service and Quality

Posted Jan 2, 2017
Pros: Top floor has a great view of the city. Service is excellent without being stuffy of obtrusive. Comfortable rooms.
Cons: There are no elevators to the upper levels, so a disabled person might have difficulty. Like many places in Ecuador, toilet paper can't be flushed.
Location: The location is at the hart of the old town in Quito so there are historic landmarks nearby. Should be safe for vigilant travelers.
I was assigned a great room on the 4th floor, perhaps because I had just obtained Expedia gold status. It was large with a nice view, comfortable bed, desk, and shower with consistently hot water. I used the laundry service and received my clothing back quickly and fully clean. Internet speeds were good. The layout was good and the safe worked. I ate in the hotel and the food was decent. At night, I could even see fireworks from a festival on the hill that happened to be going on. The staff helped me plan out a walking tour and arranged a driver to take me to some nearby attractions the next day. The service was first rate, and unlike some places managed that without being in the way. If I were to return to Quito, I would certainly stay here again.

Dear David, Thanks for your review, we are to have met your expectations. This is a house with more than 400 years old, We can not change anything in the infrastructure for this reason we do not have an elevator. According to Ecuadorian laws, we have rooms for the disabled person on the first floor. We hope to have you here soon. Best regards, Francisco Baca General Manager

Posted Dec 20, 2016
Pros: CLEANLINESS
Cons: they did not treating me like VIP welcome.
Location: all beautiful scenic surrounding the hotel: churchs, café and restaurants.
unfortunately the hotel is very hard to get in, it is located in historical district of QUITO by car or even taxi , traffic was terrible, but he staff were pleasant, the food is ok , the price is very pricy compared to Ecuador standard, very beautiful architectural from all the catherals surrounding the hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Patio Andaluz. It is in a great location in old town Quito and the staff was excellent. A lot of sites are within walking distance of the hotel and again provides a great location.

Hotel was located downtown and within walking distance of several historical sites. We were able to get some great photos and were approached by some local school kids and asked about our visit to Ecuador. (Quite refreshing). The staff at the hotel were extremely helpful, friendly and patient as our Spanish is very limited at this time but we all worked through it. Overall a great stay.

Beautiful, perfectly located hotel

Posted Nov 16, 2016 on Hotels
This hotel is wonderful. Beautiful, historical building. Large, comfortable rooms. Due to the colonial architecture, there are no windows on the outside so it's very quiet. Perfect location in the center. Staff is so nice and helpful. Everyone was fantastic. My one complaint is that our bed was pretty hard.
