Excellent customer care, good location

Posted Jun 23, 2016
Pros: Location and staff
Cons: Our room was quite dark, no elevator to go to the 2nd floor, since Quito is on high elevation, my husband was running out of breathe just walking up.
Location: 3 main churches, la Ronda, main square, local restaurants, equator tour,
Hotel is an hour from the airport, since our flight back to lax was at 5am, we decided to change our 3rd prepaid night to an airport hotel. The guest relation lady was very accommodating to our situation and she processed our cancellation the same day we requested. The hotel is centrally located, you save money on not needing to join any tours in the old town areas.

Very nice "old city" experience.

Wonderful and attentive staff. English was more than adequate. If only the rooms facing the street were more sound proofed.

Dear guest, Thanks for you comment. Our hotel is a colonial building which has been restored as a hotel complying with international standards of safety and quality. However, there are some things that could not be changed and became part of the experience of staying in a colonial and historical house of Quito like sound isolation. That is the reason, that If you are too sensitive to noise, we recommend you request at the front desk our complimentary earplugs, Please keep us on your mind for your next trip. One night stay in Quito

Posted Mar 31, 2016 on Hotels
The staff at Patio Andaluz were very accommodating and friendly. The food is reasonable, but not remarkable. Eventhough it's more expensive, Casa Gangotena, down the road, is a better option. The rooms are nicely appointed, but the 2nd bed was a sofa bed and not very comfortable. The main bed was comfortable, but very squeaky. The hotel has a slip of paper in the room warning you about noise level and offering earplugs, but I didn't have a problem with it.

Great historical hotel in Quito Center

Posted Mar 30, 2016
Pros: The history of it (very unique), location and the layout of the room. The staff were great as well.
Cons: The breakfast wasn't the greatest I had ever had.
Location: Right in the historical center. Everything in the center was within walking distance.
This hotel more than met our expectations. It was right in the center of historical Quito. They were friendly, informative and the hotel was gorgeous. We had a two-story "duplex" that was very charming. The wifi was great and the staff really cared about you. I left something in the room and they reached out to me to ask how I wanted to get it back. I had never had that happen before. They let you know the prices of cabs and made sure the driver knew as well. Would definitely stay here again - oh - and it was a bargain for what you got (also came with breakfast).

Nice hotel, friendly staff

Very nice staff, clean/large rooms with a lot of character. Bathrooms are small and older, that's my only complaint, but I'd stay again.

Great downtown location

Posted Mar 13, 2016
The hotel was in a perfect spot to explore downtown Quito. The staff was very friendly and professional. We walked to the "newer" section of Quito and from what we saw we felt we picked the best hotel. The new section of Quito was nice to explore but I preferred were we stayed.

Conlonial hotel in the Centre.

Posted Mar 6, 2016
Pros: Location and tranquility.
Cons: Maintenance.
Location: Located in the Centre close to the main sights.
This is a landmark hotel situated in the Centre close to the main square. The hotel has a large restaurant, but small entrance lobby. There is no elevators, as this is an old hotel that maintains its original colonial essence. Our room was clean but our heater was not functioning properly so we did have to endure the cold, since the staff were not able to change our room. Food was good in the restaurant but prices are expensive. The service was good except for one waiter that was a problem. Overall it was a satisfactory experience.

Excellent hotel very near to Plaza Grande. We got a great deal from Hotels.com for our stay. We really enjoyed our treat to stay here. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was not included and seems fairly expensive. Good WiFi connection in our room.
