Location location!

Goof hotel. Great staff. So why was it kind of empty? Lovely restoration and amazing staff. The dining room made us fell lonely. We ate there twice because we were tired - but the food was soso. Stay there but do your dining homework first.

A Step Back in Time

Posted Jan 10, 2016
Pros: The interior architecture and period furnishings, a good restaurant, the cave like bar. The chocolate on my pillow every night.
Cons: The only thing I wasn't crazy about was our room had no windows to the outside and so it was a little dark for my taste.
Location: If you like to visit old churches this is the place to go. They are all within walking distance. Cabs can take you everywhere else, pretty cheap.
The Patio Andaluz is a luxurious gem in the heart of the historic district of Quito. A fascinating city in itself. It's location is central for walking to many historic sites and shops. All the staff is so courteous and accommodating and wear period costumes reminiscent to the 18th century. The rooms are large and beautifully decorated with genuine antiques. The bedding is custom. The room service was impeccable. The attention to detail is unsurpassed. The hotel's restaurant is elegant, well priced offering excellent cuisine. We loved every moment.

Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing your thoughts Hotel Patio Andaluz is a colonial building which has been restored as a hotel complying with international standards of safety and quality. However, there are some things that could not be changed and became part of the experience of staying in a colonial and historical house of Quito like sound isolation. That is the reason, that If you are too sensitive to noise, we recommend you request at the front desk our complimentary earplugs. We do hope we'll have another chance to host you. Great boutique hotel in excellent location

Posted Nov 8, 2015
Pros: Central location; friendly, helpful staff; nice decor; good restaurant
Location: Hotel is just off Plaza Grande and centrally located/walkable to anything you want to see in historic district of Quito.
We stayed here for our last night in Ecuador. Had tried to get in for our earlier stay but hotel was sold out. Staff was very helpful and they even kept two bags of souvenirs we bought before arriving in Quito the first time while we travelled around Ecuador and to Galapagos. They also offered a late checkout (allowing us to keep our room until midnight for a nominal fee). They do not guarantee this will be available but it was for us and it was a great benefit for anyone taking a midnight flight back to US. Rooms were large, comfortable and nicely appointed. Restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced (except for the small $7.30 glasses of house wine!). Nice gift shop, super friendly and helpful staff. Altogether a great experience in this charming, centrally located hotel.

Dear Shena, Thank you for share your experience, I am thrilled that you enjoyed your stay with us and the staff was available to assist you throughout your stay with us. Because we are not a wine producing country, we are forced to import wines from other countries and import taxes are very high, we do our best for our guests not feel discomfort. sorry about that. We hope to welcome you back on your next trip to Quito Best regards, Francisco Baca General Manager

It's an absolutely beautiful well located hotel. The room surrounded beautiful courtyard that has a restaurant and bar area. You can walk to all the beautiful churches of Quito and the City Square as well as great places to eat.

Mitten in der Altstadt

Posted Sep 18, 2015
