First Visit to Chape Hill, NC

Posted Nov 7, 2016
Pros: Great for a low price!
Cons: Signage and room service.
Location: Close to downtown Chapel Hill with shopping and many restaurants.
A little hare to find. They need better signage. The room was great and across from the pool. The restaurant really int a retaurant. It's a bar with bar food, appetizer and chicken 5 ways. Location convenient to shopping center with Star Bucks, Tradder Joes and CVS.

Pros: The room was great and clean. The location of the motel was very convenient.
Cons: The air conditioner was very loud. The TV reception was poor.Would have preferred a room with direct access to my car.

Old Room with Antiquated Climate Control

Posted Oct 31, 2016
Rooms could use some updating. I don't put a large emphasis on this, it was obvious that they have only done minimal updates over the years. The most notable example of this was the climate control system. It is so old that it requires a maintenance call to switch the system from heating mode to cooling mode. When I arrived, the room was a bit warm, but I could not cool the room until maintenance paid a visit. Later in the evening, I had to have them come by again to enable the heat before I went to bed. The process involved removing one of the false ceiling tiles in the bathroom and making some changes. The room clean, but it was difficult to open or close the window shades because there is a table and two chairs sitting in front of it, and you must move furniture to get to the curtains. A simple change in hardware could fix the problem, but that is not reality. The staff were all very courteous, and the location would have been excellent if it weren't for the road construction that is underway. Hopefully, this will be resolved soon. Overall, I think you can get nicer accommodations in the area for a comparable price. I recommend that you shop around before you stay here.

Terrible smell of mold and mildew

Posted Oct 11, 2016
Room had a terrible, terrible smell of mold, mildew, dampness.... barely tolerable. Very old and clearly needs to be redone.

Perfectly Adequate

Posted Sep 26, 2016
A perfectly pleasant place to stay if you're going to Chapel Hill on game day. Clean and comfortable, the facility wears its UNC super fan status on its sleeve. The attached sports pub is an added bonus. Special shout out to Galen behind the front desk who is a warm presence and very helpful to visitors. Good value for the price.

Did not live up to my expectations

Will not stay here again! Fairly clean except the curtains were extremely dirty. Hotel staff was nice. Wish my room looked and was taken care of like the lobby!!
