Old Room with Antiquated Climate Control
Posted Oct 31, 2016
Rooms could use some updating. I don't put a large emphasis on this, it was obvious that they have only done minimal updates over the years. The most notable example of this was the climate control system. It is so old that it requires a maintenance call to switch the system from heating mode to cooling mode. When I arrived, the room was a bit warm, but I could not cool the room until maintenance paid a visit. Later in the evening, I had to have them come by again to enable the heat before I went to bed. The process involved removing one of the false ceiling tiles in the bathroom and making some changes.
The room clean, but it was difficult to open or close the window shades because there is a table and two chairs sitting in front of it, and you must move furniture to get to the curtains. A simple change in hardware could fix the problem, but that is not reality.
The staff were all very courteous, and the location would have been excellent if it weren't for the road construction that is underway. Hopefully, this will be resolved soon.
Overall, I think you can get nicer accommodations in the area for a comparable price. I recommend that you shop around before you stay here.
