AC was ridiculously loudPosted Jul 18, 2016
Stayed here with my mother last Saturday night. My mother couldn't sleep because the AC was ridiculously loud and would come on about every 30 minutes with a huge rush of noise. If you get placed in room 224 be aware you won't be sleeping. Unfortunately it very much interfered with our plans for the weekend. My mother ended up leaving the area around 10am because she needed to drive home before the sleep deprivation hit her. Other than that, kind staff, good drinks at the bar, and breakfast for two cost about 25 bucks. For those that want to visit the Chapel Hill area, I recommend the Franklin Hotel or (for more deluxe accommodations) the Carolina Inn.

Great Place, But Turn Out the Lights!Posted May 21, 2016 on Hotels
Generally, it was fine. I would stay here again. A couple of notes though: (1) when I arrived it was about 10:00 pm. I ordered two dishes from the little bistro next to the main desk. I waited a long time, then saw that the staff had turned out the lights and was closing up in the back. Finally got someone to notice and they delivered my order, but by then it was cold already. (2) I think $3.00 for a bottle of Pepsi is pretty steep. I prefer Coke anyway. (3) I noticed that after the room service person made the bed and cleaned the room he/she left all the lights turned on even though it was still midday. This seems not very economical or ecological to me.
