Hotel in need

Posted Nov 20, 2017
Pros: price
Cons: all and everything is in need from top to bottom
Location: near downtown next to a restaurant .
Hotel is in a good location downtown but that's were the plus list ends. this hotel and its contents is in need of a over haul / rebuild. its ok for a one night stay but look else where for comfort . they always say you get what you pay for and this stands true here. I would like to see it torn down and rebuilt (its just seen its better days.

great price comfortable just what I needed

Posted Nov 10, 2017
Pros: count on a good price and all the basics clean
Cons: billing issue when going through priceline etc need to educate staff so as not to double bill me
Location: great location near convention center. Bit tricky to find the place
I don't need a fancy expensive motel. Days Inn has the basics at a very affordable price. I can always rely on them to provide what I need

Convenient to the Raleigh convention center.

Posted Nov 7, 2017
Pros: Its location to the convention center and the price.
Cons: Freshen up the furniture
The staff is very friendly and helpful even when it is out of the scope of their responsibilities. The breakfast meal is minimal, but the coffee was excellent. The fresh fruit was good also. Road noise is always a concern, so running the heating/cooling unit provides the necessary white noise to mitigate the outside noises. The hallway were quite at night.

I thought one could rely on a DAYS INN

Posted Oct 25, 2017
Pros: Its location, see above.
Cons: It should be demolished and rebuilt to provide the facilities that are usually associated with the Days Inn franchise.
Location: It's quite close to restaurants and bars.
Only positive is its location, it's central and easy to find with satnav. Negatives, 1. The night receptionist on duty on Friday October 13th was the rudest I've ever come across, the receptionist who booked us in earlier was quite obliging and business-like. 2. No elevator. Hauling heavy suitcases up an external iron staircase to the 2nd floor is no fun when the average age of the three people in the group is 73. 3. One person in the group was assigned a room on the 2nd floor which came equipped with a kitchenette , complete with wrecked stove, bust refrigerator and old sink. The bathroom at the side of this 'facility' had a rusty shower and toilet, no tub. To say we were shocked when we saw this arrangement is an understatement. However, the obliging receptionist did move the guest assigned to this horror to a conventional room. 4. The breakfast was extremely mean.

Good for overnight /basic stay

Posted Oct 18, 2017
Days Inn Downtown is a basic hotel, blocks from NC State Capitol and downtown area. The hotel is old and terribly in need of renovations, but was OK for my needs as has been the case on several visits to my home state. My room and bathroom were clean, but not enough for my sock feet to touch the floor. For the cost and my needs, Days Inn Downtown suited me just fine!

No Way!

Posted Sep 30, 2017
The staff was friendly and helpful. After I saw the room I immediately got a refund and was forced to find another hotel. This place is old and run down and smells like cigarettes and urine.

Close to downtown

Posted Sep 25, 2017
Pros: The staff was nice
Cons: Everything
Location: Lots of thing downtown to do
Was in Raleigh for the Ray Price bike rally and was very disappointed in this hotel. Breakfast was terrible, no milk for cereal no coffee on some days , you were limited to toast for breakfast. The outside patio is a wreck, the hallway stunk and was very dirty. Thought this would be a nicer hotel since it was so close to downtown.
