We arrived at the property and entered the lobby. There was a sign that said we had 15 minutes to report any issues we may have had with the room and they would give us a refund. We checked in and went to our room. There was nothing spectacular about the room as we already knew given that this hotel was a cheaper option than all the other hotels near the festival we were going to. The tv didn’t even work, but we weren't going to be in the room much anyway. As we were eating, I noticed a roach in the room and killed it. We had somewhere to be so we said we would come back later to report what we saw. We left for what was most of the day and then returned to the room being “cleaned.” I jokingly said I wonder if the roach is still there. To my surprise, it was. Dead in the same place we left it. The bed was poorly made. They replaced the towels with fresh ones, but the bathroom was not cleaned and the floor wasn’t swept or mopped. We didn’t even stay for the remaining days we had left. I didn’t feel like the property staff even cared that we had an issue with our stay. I was just told that we could get a refund for the day that we didn’t stay. It seems like this happens a lot because they weren't fazed. There were no apologies or any sort of care that we were dissatisfied. I would NEVER stay at another Days Inn if this is how they handle a dissatisfied customer.

The difference in the smoking vs nonsmoking rooms @ this hotel is VAST. I had been pleasantly surprised by new ownership & management policies when I visited the area back in August. Being from Raleigh originally, I had not even placed this hotel on the list of options for more than 20 yrs. A short notice thing led me to book a 2 night stay last wknd & bc it was Fri & last minute, only smoking rooms were available. Ironically there was not an issue with the smell of the room…but @ 11:30am as I headed out for the day, I stopped by front desk & asked for a roll of tp & to have my room cleaned (I stripped bed & bagged trash. In addition to returning @ 4pm to find that no one had been to my room…I also experienced the following: No lamp shades No telephone No trash can 2 Broken ice machines Thin OBVIOUSLY stained towels OBVIOUSLY stained WHITE bedspread Killed 2 roaches Coffee (disgusting & NO creamer) 4 hr stretch w NO tv 2 old, flat, uncomfortable pillows ZERO give a sh%t from staff.

This place it was the nastiest place have stay in my life. The room was way out of dated. The AC dirty and smells horrible, they have a metal bed that sounds like a damn car with bad suspension and no surprise the room was full of small roaches. I was planing to stay the hole night but didn’t even last two hours and to complete they front desk didn’t want to move me to another room or refund my money back no adding that the location suck and it’s bad. Don’t stay or waste your money on this place this is place that looks from the 1970’s and for only crack head people.

You get what you pay for
The beds made a very loud noise that sounded like large sheets of metal being banged around outside. Very surprising to discover it was the bed! Moldy ceiling in bathroom. Urine in outside walkways, no complimentary breakfast or pool after all. Otherwise, it was fine.

WARNING: do not stay here!
Horrible experience, strip club in parking lot, suspicious people everywhere outside. Can’t even go into lobby after hours due to dangerous surroundings. No smoking room smelled of pot and cigarettes, burn holes and stains on sheets, cracked toilet tank, roaches dead and alive everywhere. Half the electricity wouldn’t work... need I go on? Couldn’t even stay in this room had to immediately leave.

Looks like a prostitution place of business. Very run down. Didn’t feel safe. Had to slam the door hard for it to latch, the dead bolt would lock at all. During the stay, I had asked for extra washcloths and was told we couldn’t have extra. We were only given 2 washcloths and 3 towels. I begged for more, but was not given any. We were a family of 4, 3 of us being women who wear makeup. Not only that, we were there for a comic con and dress up requires extra makeup. We did take makeup remover cloths, but needed the extra washcloths to be sure we got it all off, and we do need showers every day. Website stated there was to-go breakfast, that was not a true statement. There was no breakfast. The day we left, there was poop on the walkway. The only good thing I can say is that the beds were comfortable.

The whole place was a wreck. The pictures on Expedia made it look super nice at an affordable rate, but that was not the case. The door to our bathroom was off of the hinges and we couldn’t shut it to use the bathroom or shower. The light over the mirror and the light in the bathroom were busted. The light in the area with the beds didn’t have a lamp shade. There were also bugs everywhere. Roaches and other bugs were in the bathroom and by the doors. The outside of the hotel also looked different than the Expedia pictures. It was very run down and seedy. The pool was also not opened despite it showing it as available online.

No pool, No Food & ROACHES
The purpose of this trip was supposed to be a romantic getaway with my fiancé. We carefully picked a hotel with a pool (as it’s biggest feature I might add) so we’re surprised when not only is the pool closed but the breakfast area as well for renovations. The elevator and stairwell walk up (we tried both) smelled of urine and the elevator will send your anxiety up a bit with its lurching/creaking + ominous pausing. But to top it all off the King room we stayed in had ROACHES. So great way to dampen the mood seeing critters skittering across the side of the tub to run off into the ether under the sink. Or to find the gross bugs heading towards the takeout that was supposed to be the romantic after bath meal. The bed was nice and if the hotel was actually clean and had all of the working features it advertised it would’ve been perfect. But No pool, No food & ROACHES are a big deal breaker
