Love this hotel!

Posted Oct 27, 2016
Pros: The best part was the room. Very clean and quiet. Staff was very friendly. Even though going through construction , everything was well marked and had no trouble finding where I needed to be even with mom and her walker. Parked on second level door well marked. Turned right after going in door from second level garage. Registration was within view . Staff where so nice an apologist for the construction that I already knew about before getting there. Stayed on 7 level and loved it!!
Cons: The only thing that happened was alarm for hotel went off around 1am. It said to go outside. Never got an all clear to go back in so people went in anyway or never left . Not sure if alarm was set off by accident or what and no answer at front desk to find out.
Location: Location was perfect! Crabtree mall just across the street. It is 2 stories and big. Walmart and big lots along with other named stores within 5 min

Thank you for choosing the Embassy Suites Raleigh-Crabtree for your stay. We are pleased to read that you loved our friendly associates who took great care of you, convenient location which was perfect for your needs and your well-appointed room as well. However, we are sorry your sleep was disturbed by the fire alarm blasting you awake during the night. We also understand your frustration with this situation, and with our failure to notify everyone of an all clear when it was determined there was no fire. It was a pleasure to have you as our guest, and we look forward to serving you better in the future. Alex Blanco, General Manager

Under Construction and Out of Touch

Posted Oct 3, 2016
Pros: Absolutely nothing. The location and amenities would normally be nice, however we were not able to enjoy them.
Cons: Everything! Make certain all guests know the hotel is under construction when booking, and have ALL SYSTEMS functioning.
We were not notified prior to our arrival that the hotel is under construction and all amenities are not available. Additionally, when we arrived the key system was "down" and guests were having to be let in their rooms by hotel staff. We chose not to check in and were told our credit card would not be charged. The next day we found that our card was indeed charged for the full amount of what would have been our stay. When we called the hotel we were told it was an error when their systems were "down" again, and we would be credited. So far, that hasn't happened. Perhaps their systems are still "down".

Construction nightmare

Posted Sep 4, 2016 on Hotels
This hotel is still under major renovations after at least a year. It should not be open to the public until they are done. We were awaken at 7 AM by the sound of hammering and jack hammers-not pleasant at all. It also seems a fire hazard because things are blocked off and detoured around the construction and hard to maneuver. You can't even get to the front entrance of the hotel. Very disappointed.

Hotels.com did not meet my expectations

Posted Aug 28, 2016 on Hotels
I was extremely disappointed with the hotel and/or with Hotels.com for offering zero information regarding the major renovation in progress during our stay. The entire atrium, lobby, and restaurant/bar areas were closed and stripped down to bare concrete and steel. I selected the hotel primarily for their made-to-order breakfasts so my wife would be able to easily address her food allergies, but the still-advertised made-to-order breakfast was another casualty of the major renovation project. I'm sure the hotel, which I considered nice prior to the renovation, will be even nicer when they're done, but to not tell us the renovation was under way at booking time is inexcusable.

There was a renovation going on at the hotel that I was not aware of. However, the room was fine and there was really no disruption regarding my stay.

The reality.

Posted Aug 15, 2016 on Hotels
I'm thankful that I used my free night stay for this hotel. I booked it because of the amazing pictures, it looked soothing. This was for our 6th months anniversary. Right away when we pulled up the hill to the hotel we knew it wasn't as advertised.. They had a blue construction layer all around the hotel. there was construction supplies everywhere. As we started walking towards the "Lobby" We found ourselves in tiny room with 4 desks, we got handed a paper saying "Sorry unforeseen water leak we need to turn off water at 10am". This paper didn't have a date on it so it has probably been there for a while. We got our keys and proceeded to our suit. it was a mess I felt like I slept at a construction sight, oh wait I did. The night was average AC was a bit loud so that woke me up a couple of times, other than that the room looked nice, had a microwave empty fridge and a safe. Another reason we booked this hotel was for the "Amazing" breakfast. The promised made on order omelette did not exists, in fact they just started getting Egg and bacon back.. And the mussli just tasted stale and old there was not a single banana in the basket that was not brown and old. Bacon was good so breakfast became OK. I suggest you wait at least another 3-4-5 months before booking this hotel. You may judge for yourself with the pictures.
