Renovations

Posted Aug 22, 2016
There was a renovation going on at the hotel that I was not aware of. However, the room was fine and there was really no disruption regarding my stay.

It was under construction.

Posted Aug 2, 2016
The room itself was great but the site didn't mention it was under construction. The breakfas was not good at all and we couldn't use the pool. When it complete it will be good, or great if the food gets better.

Unfortunate timing for stay

Posted Jul 29, 2016
Pros: The incredibly helpful staff that went over and above to accommodate a very exhausted and frustrated grandmother traveling with a 7 yo.
Cons: Expedia needs to pass on updates that they receive from their hotels.
Location: Wonderful location - just outside of Crabtree Valley Mall.
It was over 100 degrees when I got to the hotel to check-in looking forward to a swim in the pool - shower- AC...only to find out that the pool was under renovation - the water would not be on until 4PM due to remodeling and the AC was not actually able to function until the water was on. So...that was the bad part. Sadly, the hotel has updated all third party venders of their situation but that information did not make it to me when I booked through a third party. I must tell you that the hotel staff was exceptional - offered cold water - sincere apologies and when I asked them to please help me find another hotel they did just that and one within a mile of their location. If I had arrived later in the evening I probably would not have even noted the situation with the water and AC and they had arranged for shuttle to another pool for their residents. I would recommend it - but not until the renovations are completed.

Won't Stay Again

Posted May 29, 2016 on Hotels
As others have said, the hotel is undergoing massive renovations. There is construction going on every day from 9 to 5, and as the front desk informs you at check-in, on a level of 1 - 10, the noise is a 10. The pool and hot tub are closed because of the construction. They make you sign a waiver at check-in that you will not have any parties in your room, and if you do, you will pay a $300 fee. My husband and I were having a romantic getaway this weekend and had the misfortune of staying at this hotel when there was a large family reunion going on. Our room was apparently right in the middle of all of them. The clerk knew we were celebrating our anniversary (there are no complimentary upgrades, by the way) and so I'm not sure why he wouldn't have given us a room somewhere else to start with. Of course, we didn't know that until we complained the next day about all the noise that went on until the early hours of the morning and were told why. The clerk was friendly but his exact words were, "It's just one of those things." The biggest complaint I have about this hotel is that we could hear EVERYTHING that was going on in the rooms around us, beside us as well as above us. Pros: the breakfast is delicious and the cocktail hour is great. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable and the staff was friendly. The location was exactly what we wanted. Unfortunately, the other factors that we experienced outweighed the positive, and we will not stay here again.

The staff could not have gone out of their way any more than they did... They were superb. But the hotel itself is a mess bc of all the construction. i had NO IDEA about the construction or I wouldn't have booked this hotel. The pool is shut down as well. To compensate for the mess, the room prices should atleast be cut in half. I hate to have to rate the hotel low bc the staff was excellent and the room itself was great, and the breakfast was amazing. Just loud construction, the atrium looks like a dirt pit, and wet paint signs everywhere on the 5th floor.

Just an overnight stay for shopping. Always love this hotel. I loved the way it use to be decorated rather than the new plan. I will definitely stay again.
